First off, the owners (hosts)? who met us at the door could not have been nicer. The outside ambiance was very pretty and inviting, but it was full. We ended up sitting at the bar. Ramon (I think that was the bartender's name) was very friendly at first. He suggested the strawberry mojito to me and before I really had a chance to order he made us two of them, (my husband didn't want one but ended up just drinking it, he doesn't like to make a fuss :) they were pretty good, but too sweet for us. We ordered the Croquetas de Jamon, very salty and needed more sauce. They could have been so good, but the salt level on the actual Croquetas was off putting, and they were dry, not really as good as we've at other Spanish Tapas restaurants. They needed more sauce. Then we had the grilled Octopus, which was the star of the night. It was cooked perfectly (small portion but it's more of a tapas place so we expected that). Seriously, melt in your mouth good! Great flavor too. Then we split the flat iron steak. The $30.00 steak was TINY, but very tender. Not much flavor though. The Chimichurri sauce was bland and uninteresting. I love Chimichurri but this was was boring, no fresh herbs, no garlic, no flavor. I don't recommend that dish at all. Ramon became less and less attentive so we had to ask the server (from Argentina, who was the nicest guy!) If we go back, we will ask for him, because he ended up making our night much better. He got us bread, olive oil and vinegar that you're supposed to start off the night with, but we never got from Ramon, and then the same server got us plates, silverware (once again he wasn't even our server!) he really cares though and made our night. Ramon's attitude shifted as the night went on so we didn't order desert even though we wanted the flan and an after dinner drink, we just got the bill and left. The music from the guitarist was great, and I heard that Wednesday's they have Flamenco guitar. I never judge a place on one experience, every restaurant has an off night, so we will be back. But we won't sit at the bar, we'll ask for our sweet server from Argentina, he deserves a great tip!! read more

Very nice place, hostess was very helpful. Food is top notch. Restaurant is expensive but these are imported products so it is understandable. If I lived in Naples i would be there often. Loved everything about Bodega Ole! From hostess to server, bartender and bus staff, we were treated like special guests in this lovely spot. Wonderful keyboardist added to the ambiance and kept volume at perfect level for conversation. Octopus app was delicious as was the traditional seafood paella. I have only been in Naples for 3 weeks out of Boston and first timers renting in Florida for the winter. I travel extensively (at least before Covid) and eat out quite often. Bodega was highly recommended by Michael the wine manage at a fantastic gourmet grocery store Seed to Table. I have just returned from the best meal I have. had in Naples in my 3 weeks in the area, and overall just an amazing experience! From how Sophia the bartender greeted us and her fantastic service, to the amazing menu, to the engaging ownership team of Linda and John, and excellent live music! John is of Puerto Rican descent, where I have celebrated New Year's even the past 6 years (with the exception of this year.). His service, menu/food quality and wine list would be held out as one of the greats in Puerto Rico, or anywhere! I had the grilled snapper which melts in your mouth, but so many extremely enticing menu items. I have friends also renting in the area, and friends coming down next week and I booked a table for 6 for next week right there during dinner Thank you to Sophia, Linda and John! An amazing find in Naples!! Went on a Saturday night and was warmly greeted at the front door by the owner. Very friendly and welcoming gentleman. Latin music and dancing was a nice touch to the delicious food we enjoyed. Churrascos is a MUST try, the best I have ever had, flavor was out of this world and grilled to perfection. I ordered the "pernil with gandules. If your not familiar with "Puertorican" traditional Spanish food - please please do yourself a favor and come in and get this dish. The food was definitely worthy of 4 stars. I thought the tapas I ordered were delicious. We booked a table for 8 for 5:30pm in June 2022. They have a Wednesday night wine special and a happy hour menu until 6pm. So we specifically made the reservation early to take advantage of these specials. I think there may have been a total of 2 other tables dining at the same time and a max of 8 other people in the restaurant. Half of our party arrived at 5:30 and the rest trickled in over the next 5-10 minutes. Instead of going into further specific detail I'll just say that we were not impressed by the speediness or communication from our server. Not only did we feel like we were rushing to put any orders in before 6pm - we also felt like he didn't want to serve us. Very disheartened after wanting to try this restaurant for so long. Read the reviews and ventured to see how this restaurant fared. Not a happy encounter. Starting with the bread that is a Cuban "medianoche" bread not a Spanish baked crusty style bread. The bacon dates were tasty but bacon could have been cooked a little more. The boquerones were real small. The real disappointment were the Brava Potatoes as they seemed cooked from a bag and were not crispy outside but rather bland and the worst were the Padron peppers which were greasy and had a sauce with so much heat on top which made them inedible. read more

This review would have started off as 1 star, but the staff and management turned things around. We booked for NYE on Open Table about 24 hours prior. There was no mention on OT or the restaurant's website of a pre fixe menu. Received a phone call the afternoon of our reservation to confirm and still no mention. When we arrived, we were surprised the place was nearly empty. We were a bit early for our 7:45 reservation and were seated right away. There was a pre fixe menu on the table for $150 per person plus tax and automatic 20% gratuity. While the menu looked great, it wouldn't work well for one member of our party, which is why we booked a place not doing a NYE special. We could have made the pre fixe work, but we wondered if we would ever be served as we waited over 10 minutes at our table watching staff walk all around the empty dining room without coming by. Another table was seated nearby and chose to leave after being surprised by the pre fixe situation. A second table left as well. It was becoming clear that the restaurant staff had been prepared for a single seating for the evening and were waiting for tables to fill up before starting even water and drink service. We finally were able to get our server to our table and she was apologetic about the pre fixe mix-up but blamed it on "IT people" who were supposed to have updated the website and Open Table. This didn't give me a good vibe so I thanked her and said we were going to leave and find somewhere else to go as at that point I didn't have much confidence in Bodega Olé. As we were getting up to leave, the manager ran over to our table and asked us to stay. She had just talked with the kitchen and they would be opening up the full menu for the evening, and specials from the pre fixe menu could be ordered individually as well. We decided to stay and were totally happy we did. The food and drinks were fantastic, our server was great once over the shock of how things had gone earlier, and the live music was perfect. The only thing keeping my review from 5 stars was that the restaurant added 20% gratuity to our tab without mentioning it. Understandable since the staff was counting on that with the pre fixe deal, but it would have been nice to mention. read more

We were able to try Classic Cuban at the Fort Myers Brewery SummerFest. Apparently we don't have to travel to Havana or Miami for a great Cuban anymore! Overall, yummy Cuban food with a twist. Tried the Classic Cuban Tampa Style which added a layer of sliced chorizo to the Cuban. Bursting with flavor, but would have loved to see more pickles and thicker slices of chorizo to match the other meats on the sandwich. The best, however, were the heaping of matchstick fries that were dumped on the sandwich. Big enough to eat on their own, but when stuck to the warm sandwich, added a salty, crunchy bit to the already classic flavors. And the portion size is enough to share! Love the quality and quantity of their offerings, and am looking forward to seeing Classic Cuban out and about more. read more

Friendly and knowledgeable service, fantastic and creative food, a really great experience here! They offer excellent tapas choices. The bacon wrapped dates were a hit with everyone. The pork shank as main entree was absolutely delicious. You didn't need a knife as your fork easily peeled succulent pieces of pork off the bone! Easily shared by 2 and even 3. Next time I am going to try one of their featured paellas which looked really good. Really liked the relaxed but upscale vibe of the place as well. Never felt rushed, good spacing between courses. Barbosa is just as good if not better than most of the go-to restaurants in Naples. A must try! read more

My first impression as I walked in was "nice". What a lovely restaurant, great vibe and awesome live music. I was looking forward to this, since Spanish cuisine is my favorite and I eat it often. Our hostess was wonderful too. I was a bit disappointed with the food. The Gambas al Ajillo (shrimp in garlic sauce tapa) should come to table sizzling but it was room temperature. The paella rice was slightly undercooked and bland. The thinly sliced octopus appetizer though was excellent. I asked for the after dinner drink "Carajillo" but they don't serve it. This was surprising since they have a full bar and this expresó and brandy drink is traditional in Spain. Our waiter Emerson was super nice. This was a delightful find. (It's tucked out of the way and not where you'd expect to find a high end restaurant) My husband and I shared several small plates all wonderful (the calamari was amazing) and then 2 desserts. (Flourless chocolate cake and Spanish donuts dipped in Chocolate). The food was excellent and our waiter was very attentive. I would have given it five stars but it took awhile to get our drinks both times. It seems the bar was a little backed up due to a large private party inside the restaurant. Great spot! The food was fantastic! We tried an assortment of the tapas and the gazpacho, tomato cucumber salad, lobster bisque and chocolate cake. Everything was delicious, grilled octopus and the peppers were our two favorites. Would skip the shrimp in the future as nothing special. The food is very good. Very tasty and authentic food. The chorizo and fates wrapped in bacon are excellent. Not too sweet, not salty either. The cod was very juicy and flaky. Not dry at all. The octopus was delicious and tender. Not rubbery at all. Service is attentive but I think they could be better organized. They are a willing group. Chef came out to greet and ensure everything was to our liking; which I thought was a very nice gesture. The chef is in the kitchen, but he needs a manager to oversee the waiters in the main dining room. We will certainly return. Hopefully the waiter and waitresses are better organized for their own benefit and for efficiency. read more

We have been coming here since it opened and it just gets better and better and now it's BETTER AND BIGGER! John expanded so Bodega ole has doubled in size yet remains intimate , not overwhelming . The food has always been spot on and unique - There's a new chef and they recently acquired a new grill and last night our dinner was simply amazing. It always has been but last night was just WOW. Our steaks were incredible and juicy , my mother in laws Grilled Unicorn fish was so good that I was nearly jealous .... And our guests Pulled pork was a quickly emptied plate. Bodega Ole is the type of restaurant that you should never judge by how it looks from the outside. Once I stepped foot into the restaurant, I was warmly greeted by waiters, which gave me a good first impression. There was a band playing various Spanish songs which only contributed to how I felt like I was transported back to Spain, fostering great memories of the past. As we ordered food, I couldn't help but notice how much it reminded me of Spain. Everything was tasty and original and was brought with a smile from our waiter. The main course was even better--I ordered a chicken dish that had mashed potatoes and carrots. The chicken had a mustard sauce that brought the chicken's taste to an entirely new level--it was hands down one of the best chicken dishes I've had in a very long time. Desserts were also delicious and reminded me of Spain, the objective that Bodega Ole seems to have. My only (minor) complaint is the amount of time it took to get the bill, but other than that, the service was great along with everything else. I come here every Spring Break and tonight was the first bad experience and it had nothing to do with the food or drink. It was all on our server (Abby). She continually forgot items we ordered, seemed bothered she had to be there, disappeared for long periods of time and the restaurant was pretty quiet.... Not busy at all. And above all.... the restaurant added an obligatory 20% tip. We will continue to come for the great food and drink and hope someone trains Abby and gives her some happy pills. read more
