After watching a wonderful sunset at Bonita Springs, my honey and I ventured out to the Ritz to finish off our anniversary adventures with a lovely dinner. I must say in advance that Bites made this anniversary experience very memorable. Thanks! Located in the beautiful Ritz Carlton lounge, it was a tad hidden but not too hard to find. Really. From the entrance, you keep walking straight. You may think you just found a fancy lounge, but once seated, you do see the Bites menu as your placemat. Don't expect a separate room or big sign of the restaurant, simply go straight ahead! I don't normally drop names in reviews, but I must for they have made that evening so memorable. Jordan was a nice receptionist who sat us down to our table, and then we were greeted by Franz, the friendliest server who was very attentive to our needs (he even offered to take many pictures of us with our food), and Joseph our waiter, who had every ounce of patience dealing with our many questions about the menu and as a team, they all made sure our night went well. Now onto the tapas-styled Bites: 1. Truffle Salmon Spread: No kidding about the truffle! This has been the strongest truffle menu item I have ever tasted, and I do love truffle! So if you like your truffle strong, do get this bad boy. It was my favorite dish and I think it was just an appetizer! 2. Burrata: I don't know what they did but this beautiful ball of cheese was on point! It nicely paired with the glazed poached pears. This would be a great savory-sweet pairing of you're leaning more towards the sweet and light side. 3. Chorizo Stuffed Dates: This sausage is usually salty but the dates and the special orange sauce tones it down and mixes well with the flavors. This would be a great savory-sweet pairing of you're leaning more towards the savory side. 4. Bison Chili Cheese Fries: This wasn't my favorite, but it does have the flavor and even the texture I like in a chili cheese fries BUT it didn't have enough cheese. And we went big with dessert: 1. Bread Pudding: I'm used to sticky bread puddings that resemble monkey bread or cinnamon buns in terms of glazed sweetness, but this bread pudding was lighter, creamier, and milky! It doesn't feel too heavy compared to the other desserts we ordered. 2. Apple Rice Pudding: I loved the rice pudding, but the apple chunks at the bottom seemed too sweet and tart for me, so to balance it off, I had a ratio of one little Apple chunk and a whole lot of rice pudding on my spoon. This may have been my honey's favorite. They came in the cutest glass ramekins, and because they came in threes, we had decided to take home the last one. I'll get into it later, keep reading! 3. Complimentary slice of Chocolate Cake: WOW! This was the most decadent, rich chocolate cake I have ever had. Joseph brought this to our table with a candle and a chocolate that said "Happy Anniversary," and this was the cherry on top for our Bites experience. I can't look and eat another slice of chocolate cake the same way. If you are the biggest chocolate fan of life, you WILL enjoy this and probably won't share haha. 4. Coffee: They served it in some fancy coffee press contraption that was new to me. It was also our savior from the potential food coma we may have had to endure on the long ride home late at night. Definitely a must after a long, wonderful meal! We did not finish all the bites and desserts so they packed it for us in such pretty black and gold to-go boxes. I recycled one of the boxes when I got home to store the beautiful shells I found at the beach that day. To my surprise, they even packed the last rice pudding with the cute glass ramekin! Did not expect them to pack some glassware, but I still have it with me as a reminder of the amazing service and anniversary I had that day. And it makes for a great dessert shooter! Other important notes to add: FREE valet if you keep the receipt so they can validate it, and LIVE entertainment on Tuesday nights. We went on a Tuesday night, and this performer was great. His music added to the good vibes of our anniversary dinner. Again, thank you Bites for an amazing time. We're looking forward to visiting again as they change their menus seasonly, though I would hope the truffled salmon spread stays all-year-round!

Ritz Carlton, beach front property and Florida winter with no more than 80 degrees F. Now that is how you spend a New Year's Day. Living in South Florida gives us the beauty of enjoying both the East Coast and West Coast of Florida. A place where we can enjoy some fishing and gorgeous sunset. The Ritz in Naples is amazing place on its own. But it has so many things to offer like bar on the beach where you can have a nice lunch over looking the water or a dinner and drinks while seeing the sunset off the Gulf Coast. Once we enjoyed drinks and the sunset we went inside and enjoyed Bites. As the names suggests all the plates are to be shared and are smaller so you can enjoy more delicious options. We enjoyed the short ribs and tomato soup / grilled cheese just to name a few. Great service, live music, fantastic drinks and very delicious food make this a must go while you are in the Naples area. You do not need to be staying in the Ritz to enjoy. RSVP are highly recommended. Looking forward to enjoying BITES again in our next trip to Naples!!!

This is probably one of my favorite places that we have eaten in Naples. Outstanding service, romantic music and the food is amazing. We are celebrating our 25th Anniversary, the entire staff made it extra special. You have to try the chicken waffles dish, best we have ever had. Thank you Bites team for making our evening so special. Love this place!

An EXCELLENT restaurant located in the lobby of The Ritz Carlton. The food was superb, as was the service. You must try all the tapas on the menu. Desserts were excellent as well. Try the panna cotta.

I love this place. There's isn't a better late night date spot; very romantic. Great deserts, great coffee... good jazz... beautiful surroundings with an ocean view. And since it's in the lobby, it's great for people watching. Best espresso I've had in Naples was here.

Fabulous piano player! People seem to be enjoying the ambiance and the service as always is great!

We arrived at 7:05 pm and were assigned only one server. By 7:40 pm, the server was still taking drink orders, so I requested the front desk to assign another server, and they did. However, what shocked us was that both servers assigned to us were new and had no idea about the menu. One of them couldn't even spell the menu items, and I had to dictate the spelling of each item. She didn't know what a flight was, and I had to explain it to her, even though it was mentioned in their bar menu. The restaurant/bar should provide proper training before hiring people. Our food order-taking was done by 8 pm. We waited for our food to arrive, only to get another surprise: the server forgot to write the table number with the food orders. So, she had to take everyone's order again at 8:05 pm. One of the ladies with us ordered a burrata salad, and it took 40 minutes to arrive because the server accidentally gave it to another party. While the food, drinks, and music were amazing, the service was horrendous. I can only say that I am never returning, nor will any of the ladies from our group.

The drinks were creative and tasty, and while the wine list is short, it is very well curated. We started with the octopus, the bread and butter, and the mushrooms as appetizers. All three were excellent, but the octopus was the clear standout. I had never seen it served in that particular style before. It was a completely new preparation for me and absolutely delicious. The bread and butter was also finger licking good. For my main course, I ordered the cod gnocchi. I am still thinking about this dish three days later because the flavors and textures were so unusual and memorable. To finish the meal, we shared the chocolate tart and the tiramisu bread pudding. Both were delicious, though they did not feel quite as uniquely extraordinary as every other bite and sip we had throughout the night. One of our party members is gluten and dairy free, and our waitress was incredibly helpful in navigating the menu for her. She was thrilled with the shrimp from the daily specials menu. My only minor critique is that I wish they had a dessert option that would have worked for her dietary restrictions. Overall, this was a fantastic meal with top tier service.

My experience landed somewhere in the middle. First, the positives. The staff was truly excellent. Our server, Thomas, was the highlight of the evening. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely great at what he does. Everyone we interacted with was welcoming and professional, and the service throughout the meal was fantastic. Except for the one employee who worked at the bike shop next-door that were a demeaning T-shirt and acted like he was the boss getting his water jug refilled. The food itself was very good, and clearly well prepared. I had the chicken schnitzel, which was served on a wonderful sauce with slices of what tasted like lightly pickled daikon radish. The dish was interesting and well executed, but I found myself wishing for a little more balance perhaps a small side salad or something fresh to break up the richness of the schnitzel. That was sort of the theme of the evening for me. Everything was good, sometimes very good (bread and butter exceptional) but it lacked that extra depth or daring flavor that makes you stop mid-bite and tell everyone at the table, "You have to try this." The burger was also excellent, but again, it didn't quite reach that memorable "best burger I've ever had" level you hope for when visiting a place with so many five-star reviews. I even found myself dipping the burger into the schnitzel sauce just to add a little more punch. To be clear, I don't mind the prices at all. When dining somewhere with such consistently glowing reviews, though, you walk in hoping to leave thinking it was one of the best meals you've had. I didn't quite leave with that feeling. In fact, I debated ordering dessert but ultimately decided that I might be left disappointed so we decided to skip it and head to Kilwins instead. Overall, it was a very good meal with exceptional service, but just shy of the "wow" factor that would make it a five-star experience for me.

This is a niche tapas restaurant catering to those individuals that enjoy expertly prepared food without any pretense. The restaurant itself is very unassuming with seats for 10 at the bar overlooking the kitchen and booths as well as some awkward seating as you first enter the restaurant that can accommodate up to 20 more people. What impressed me as much as the quality of the food was the quality of our server, RAIZA, who on a scale of one to 10 was a 15. She not only knew the food but her expertise with the wine pairings was superb and I think my son really appreciated her input and selections after he had laid out some of his criteria. We ordered eight items for the three of us and they were all unique, wonderfully tasteful and beautifully presented. Each selection is paired with a different wine and you have ample time between selections to chat and talk about how good the next selection will be. Hopefully my pictures will present an accurate account of how wonderful everything was. This is not the kind of restaurant that I would personally return to on a regular basis but I would welcome the opportunity to come here once a year just to be reminded of how food/dining can be a joyous occasion. It was clear from our visit that liberty has a devout following. It was interesting that there were no salt and pepper shakers on the table and this was for the obvious reason that the food came to the table properly seasoned with no extras required. I would have to say our eight selections were ample but on the light side. We arrived at our reservation time at 5:45 and departed at 7:45, a very leisure dining experience. To summarize, liberty will continue to thrive as long as they are able to maintain their high standards of food and service, kudos to ownership and staff for providing such a unique experience in Fort Myers. The medium rare chocolate chip cookies were good but the cinnamon toast crunch ice cream was beyond compare and I certainly could've used a man's size portion of that as it was so delicious.

We made reservations on Open Table, and I wanted to ensure I got my points. The computer is down.......sorry. They let us to a high top table. I do not want a high top. Took many minutes to decide which table to seat us at. We were there when they opened at 4pm and were the ONLY customers in the restaurant. When we left at 5:45pm we were STILL the only customers in the restaurant. Finally they seated us at a table. The absolute most uncomfortable chairs in the history of dining. Chairs with wooden bottoms. They explained that there was a concert this evening, and the place was booked full. OK. why not explain that on the web-site, so we could come another night. Or better yet, don't accept reservations for that evening. The noise level was horrible. Everyone of the staff scurrying around, moving tables, and chairs, setting up the speakers. Yelling, yelling, yelling, yelling. Could not hear myself think. Then, one of the owners opens a cabinet, and around 50 glasses come tumbling out, crashing to the floor and breaking. OK accidents happen. Then the performer arrived. Sorry, I do not know who he is, but the entire staff did and were very excited. They dropped everything and started taking photos with him. Then, they had to spend another 15 minutes showing each other the photos. This whole time, we are still the only customers, and we were totally ignored. The web site says happy hour is 4-6PM. The waitress tells us because of the party the happy hour is only lunch. Then, she asks a manager, and they bring a happy hour menu. We order from the regular and the happy hour menu. The one good note is that the cod fritters and the ham croquettes were excellent. The paella was soupy (I understand some folks enjoy it that way. I like mine with crispy rice) The waitress was very nice. She said she was sorry about all the confusion. We finally flagged her down and asked for the bill. She did, in fact, give us happy hour pricing. But, sorry, that does not make up for the evening. We left thinking that we would come back another day and give it a try. But, the next morning we woke up saying it was a horrible experience, and it is just not worth it. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g34230-d33076380-r1056307800-Taberna_Ole-Fort_Myers_Florida.html#

I asked for a seat at the bar, and even though space is very limited, the staff went above and beyond to find me one. That kind of effort on a packed afternoon says a lot about this team. The bartender was phenomenal -- attentive, warm, and somehow managed to make every single person at that busy bar feel like they were the only guest in the restaurant. The whole staff carried that same energy. They were also wonderfully descriptive about the daily specials and menu offerings, which made ordering a pleasure rather than a guessing game. I decided to try the crab cake, and I'm so glad I did. I grew up on the East Coast eating crab, and I've had my fair share -- I've long held that Phillips in Maryland made the gold standard. I am happy to report that Captain & Crew has dethroned them in my book. This crab cake was pure lump crab meat, not overpowered by fillers or seasoning. You could actually taste the crab. The accompaniments they served alongside it elevated the whole dish even further. Thoroughly impressed. The wine pairings were equally well-curated. I took the staff's recommendations and they absolutely nailed it. A heads-up for first-timers: parking is the one small challenge. There's no convenient lot right there, so you may need to use a parking garage and walk over. Honestly? Embrace it. If you're already in Downtown Naples, it's a beautiful stroll that perfectly sets the mood before you arrive. Captain & Crew is a true hidden gem.
