This is a hidden gem! What used to be a different restaurant has turned into Ana amazing Italian find! Had not even been by here in a few years and was delighted to see it had changed into an Italian restaurant. The drinks were awesome, including everyone getting happy hour aperol spritz!! They even have towers of 5 spritz's!!! Nice! Our waitress was amazing and attentive, but allowed us time to talk and enjoy the wonderful evening in the outside seating. PROS: Easy parking Lots of good food choices Happy hour spritz's Good outdoor seating Small bar inside, nice CONS: Smaller restaurant, so make a reservation

What a vibe! I was super underdressed and not expecting this place to be as elegant as it was but I still received great food and good service. They offer outside and indoor seating, have a bar and even a speakeasy downstairs on weekends! The food was immaculate, some of the best lasagna I've ever had. The Caesar salad had a really strong lemon flavor and even though it was a first for me I actually really loved it, the lettuce was fresh and had a really good taste. The arancini was a bit different and wasn't really for me but glad I tried it nonetheless. And the bread! THE BREAD?! Crispy outside, fluffy inside - I've been thinking about it since we left.

I was looking forward to a nice Italian meal especially with all the glowing reviews for this Bocca. I'm glad that I made a reservation because this place gets busy. The service was friendly and was knowledgeable especially with their drinks. We came during happy hour and the options for a spritz were a lot for this newbie, but our waitress was kind and informative. We started with a half order of summer caprese, which was stock full of strawberries and watermelon. The nuts were old, and there wasn't much of a lemon vinaigrette and balsamic drizzle leaving the salad kind of tasteless. There were three kinds of oysters available and they were exactly as described. They tasted fresh and presented well. Unfortunately the mussels we ordered were the opposite of the oysters. It had an unpleasant odor, the mussels were rubbery, and there was not much flavor in the chili broth with butter and beer. It appears these were overcooked. As for the Bolognese, the fettuccine was cooked perfectly, however the sauce was lacking depth and attributes of a slow-cooked, simmered sauce made with wine, mirepoix, and some quality tomatoes. While the staff here are attentive and friendly, the food left a lot to be desired. The drinks were a highlight, and the bread a good start, but the entree's need more attention.

Oh my gosh... I have no words for how good this place is. BEST PASTA IN INDY! Me and my friends shared the baked goat cheese appetizer which was divine (i don't even really like goat cheese and it was so good). The bread was also insanely soft! We asked for more bread and they gave it free of charge. I ordered the Della Casa and it was the best plate of pasta I've ever eaten. The flavors melted together in a creamy tomato sauce with the perfect amount of spice. It was genuinely the best sauce for a seafood pasta and the shrimp and noodles were both cooked properly and to perfection. Nothing was overcooked. Every bite was like heaven. I tried my friend's pastas as well and the Tortellacci was suprisingly so tasty. The amount of lemon they add in the sauce pairs so nicely with the cheeses they used. I say "surprisingly so tasty" because to the naked eye it doesn't look that special but when you take a bite your eyes get big because it's so good lol. The chicken was also insanely tender!!! I do wish the service was a little better. I feel like our waiter forgot about us and we barely got checked on during our time there, but the food made up for it. Seriously this is the best italian food I've ever eaten and I never rave about pasta. I think about the Della Casa often. I can't wait to go back!

Bocca has quickly become one of my favorite Italian spots in town. Every time I've gone, I've been lucky enough to get seated right away, but honestly, don't risk it. This place is popular for a reason, so do yourself a favor and make a reservation. First of all, $1 oysters on Mondays? Say less. Such a great deal, and they're always fresh and delicious. It's the perfect excuse to start the week off right. Beyond that, the menu is full of solid Italian classics done really well. The ambiance is warm and inviting, dim lighting, cozy but still lively, and perfect whether you're on a date or catching up with friends. The service has consistently been fantastic. Attentive without hovering, friendly without being over the top. One quick note for anyone gluten-free: when you see "GF" next to an item, it doesn't automatically mean it's gluten-free as listed. It means it can be made gluten-free. Definitely ask your server for clarification to be safe. Highly recommend - just book that reservation! :D

Amazing little Italian American Restaurant on the near Northside of Indy. Cute and intimate setting. The service was fantastic. Numerous wine and cocktail selections. The spaghetti pomodoro was 10/10' very authentic. Also enjoyed the Chianti. The tiramisu was perfect! The server was very knowledgeable concerning the menu. The food was first class. Highly recommended! Best I've had in Indy and I'm Italian!

Absolutely fantastic Italian place. The outdoor patio was cute, decorated well and they played great music that wasn't too loud. For appetizers we had the goat cheese and the calamari- both were phenomenal and would definitely get again. For entrees we tried the seafood ravioli and lasagna Bianca- both are a MUST try. Dessert included an espresso martini and the cheesecake. The martini was great, the cheesecake was mid. The service could have been a bit quicker, and it seemed like our waitress kept forgetting about us. My biggest complaint is the water- it's absolutely vile. Why does it taste like that?

I truly can not say enough about this place. It's delicious and has become a personal favorite for my solo dates. My favorites are sitting on the patio enjoying happy hour oysters and listening to the love music. *I would LOVE to see a couple more options for happy hour. And deeply miss the Italian 75 for HH My go to's are the oysters, mussels, beef carpaccio & the Della Casa *extra sauce. The staff are great and pleasant.

Where has Bocca been all my life?! Now, I'm not an Italian food girl at all, BUT Bocca might have changed my mind. The mussels and all the pastas - YUM! All of the pastas were amazing, but the one with the lemon cream sauce was the winner of the night! Our waiter was amazing with recommending food and the cute, little seating area was cozy. I can't wait to go back to sit outside and try more of the menu!

    The best Italian sparkling wine.

We absolutely love this place. We had our favorite non-Champagne sparkling wine and a truly wonderful dinner. I can't remember out servers name (he was also the bartender) but it was something nontraditional. He was an absolute delight. Made wonderful recommendations and provided great hospitality.

This wasn't my first and won't be my last time at Bocca. It has become a favorite for my friends and I. Everyone is always so sweet, the service is always amazing, and the music is always great. I was there to celebrate my birthday with my sister and close friend from out of town, both first timers, and they both enjoyed everything. They were both talking about when they will return We ordered a flatbread, the mussels, and calamari for appetizers..all of it-GONE! We each ordered a different pasta Pomodoro, Tortellacci, and Seafood ravioli ! The only pasta that went home was the tortellacci and that's cause I was stuffed from all of the wonderful appetizers! I Can't wait to get back for more mussels!

The most incredible Italian food, so freaking delicious. Service is always great, all the staff are kind and inclusive. I'm able to get food with my allergies of wheat and egg which is awesome. Most of the dishes can be made gluten free. My wife and I always share a few mocktails and those have been phenomenal as well. It's a smaller place, the indoor ambiance is vibey and not too loud and there's an outdoor patio as well.

    Della casa
    Josie M.

I finally made my way over for dinner and it was a great experience! We stumbled upon 1/2 priced bottles of wine on Wednesday - a pleasant surprise! The waitress was very friendly and helpful. She recommended the Della casa shrimp pasta and it was perfectly creamy, yet spicy and a generous portion. There was also a lot of shrimp mixed in! We also tried the short rib, which was really tender. The meat itself was very tasty, but I wish the dish as a whole had some sauce or a little more going on. The prices were really reasonable and the environment was modern yet traditional. I can't wait to go back to try more menu items!

I thought it was interesting that they offer the option to add on noodles but once I received my order I understood why. I would say portions are kind of light.
