Amazing, amazing, AMAZING dining experience!!!!! Small, quaint and elegant nestled in the most surprising location. The food was beautifully presented and the flavors were out of this world and our server, James, only added to the experience. His recommendations were spot on. I'm STILL thinking about the marscapone-lime risotto and the ferro w beets. And, don't get me started on the wine selection. Loved this experience.

Vegan Puttanesca

Good Omen is a great place to celebrate special occasions with your favorite people. We did just that -- celebrated our daughter's 29th birthday -- and it was wonderful! I wish I had more pictures to share, but I was more focused on the celebration itself. Everything I tried was truly delicious. The birthday girl had the vegan Puttanesca and she loved it. Another daughter enjoyed the Risotto with Grilled Lion's Mane (also vegan). Hubby and I shared the Creste Di Gallo pasta dish and I would highly recommend it. We also shared a starter salad, and while I don't recall the name, it was delightful. We also shared a bottle of Chianti for the table which was lovely. We will definitely return!

Pasta Primavera special and Caprese salad

Followed the server's recommendation to split the dishes, and not only was the end bill a fair price but we left happy and satisfied. We chose to split the pasta special and the Caprese; both were flavorful. Had a wonderful and reasonably priced of Pinot blanc to go with our dinner. Couldn't pass up the ricotta cake, which was delicious. All this, for under $100.

Butternut Squash Ravioli

Some of the previous reviews, I just don't get it. I knew the space was small because I had been in it before with the previous businesses. Someone stated that the tables were on top of each other, not true. I didn't go to the bathroom to see if the tissue box had a cover on it, but everything else looked great. We are not drinking so we didn't get to enjoy any of the many wines they had, but we were able to get a couple of Non Alcoholic drinks that they offer. This was the first meal in a long time that we were happy with, from beginning to end. Started with the Kale salad. Unlike any Kale salad I've had before and it was delicious. The Brown butter vinaigrette was fabulous. Next I had the Butternut Squash ravioli which was cooked perfectly. Shrimp risotto was on special so my husband decided to try it. So yummy. Shrimp had a nice light char and risotto also cooked perfectly. For dessert we enjoyed the Gelato with house made toffee sauce and candied hazelnuts. Deeeeeeelicious! Great place Good Omen!! Thanks James for the knowledge and great service. Everything was fantastic, we'll definitely be back to try more.

Wagyu Tomahawk

I gave good omen 5 stars because 6 isn't an option. The team was wonderful. James was a great server and his suggestions for the evening were spot on. We love all of our local restaurants here in Zionsville and our community has a wealth of excellent places to eat. Good Omen fills a space we haven't had until it's opening. The food preparation is truly an art form and the approach to the menu is on par with the quality of some of the best restaurants I've been to. We had the wagyu tomahawk and gnocchi off the winter menu. You should do the same if you stop in this winter.

Okay, wow! This is some amazing, incredible, and tasty Italian food! My expectations were low, but holy cow. I am so impressed! The appetizers were unreal, the entrees were out of this world, and the wine was spectacular. The service was top notch, the recommended the Chianti, which was perfect. I also cannot recommend the squid ink pasta enough. It literally changed me! It's way better than every other Italian joint within 100 miles!!! This is a must see spot!

Scallops were some of the best, if not the best I've had in the Indy area

The first time I brought my mom here, she said it was the best meal she's ever had in her whole life. Enough said.

The…read moresun is shining, and you take a seat in a sunbeam on the covered outdoor patio of a local restaurant. You have a glass (OK, two glasses) of a nice Barbera d'Asti, and savor a couple of nibbly things. Everything is sparkly and right in the world on this beautiful Wednesday afternoon. All this and more can be yours when you visit Wine & Rind. At least, all that and more was mine when I visited. This is my ideal restaurant: wine focused, with a succinct menu of beautifully presented and thoughtfully created food. Plus, it's located right off the Monon Trail in Midtown Carmel, so it's a prime space for people-watching. This little restaurant is a great place to get a charcuterie platter, but I was feeling like bruschetta when I visited, so I ordered the Bruschetta Sampler, which is plenty for two people. It comes out like artwork on a wooden platter: five beautiful bruschetta toasts consisting of traditional tomato; fig and bleu cheese; capocollo and a herbed ricotta; blueberry and lemon ricotta with sugar sprinkled on top; and strawberry and cannoli cream with balsamic. The last one (strawberry and balsamic with cannoli cream) was surprising and might have been my favorite, because it tasted like cheesecake. I love being surprised! I also ordered the caprese salad, which was a wonderfully tasty platter of tomato, mozzarella, basil, pesto, olive oil, balsamic glaze and Maldon salt. It was so fresh and light. Another surprise: It was sprinkled with sprouts! I would have never thought to add that to a caprese, but it 100% worked. The service here is top-notch. The server was super nice and attentive, but also disappeared and only reappeared when necessary. Wine & Rind is a Carmel gem! I know I'll be back soon to try more of the menu, and drink more of the wine.

That's the perfect description for this gem. The wait staff are excellent and the bar does not disappoint! Happy hour runs 3-6pm and I stopped in for a drink and a bite. The rotating cocktail menu featured a "Gin on the Barb." Local gin mixed with a rhubarb liqueur and mint was a tasty yet dangerous beverage for an 83 degree day. If you have a chance to try the Oeufs Mimosa (deviled eggs) do not miss the opportunity though the charcuterie is an experience as well. For dinner I suggest trying the beef bourguignon. It will change your life. It's not necessarily simple but it done very very well.

I've also had wonderful cocktails and desert, but each visit is worse than the last. This was our last.

From the moment the door was opened for us until we left, the staff was friendly, engaging and committed to ensuring guests had a special brunch. Yes, brunch! Bowdie's is famous for their steak dinners, but also offers Saturday and Sunday brunch. Brunch includes a special cocktail menu and an upscale interpretation of brunch entrees. Mel, our server, offered cocktail and meal suggestions and made us feel at home. Water came out quickly, as did our cocktails. I couldn't resist trying the Island Expresso Martini, which was decadent eye opener. My husband had the Sunset Shandy, which was an unusual concoction of orange juices and beers that he loved. For lunch, I had the Shrimp, Belly and Grits, which tasted fabulous. The pork belly and sauce were candied, giving the plate a delightful sweetness. There was a bit of spice also. The shrimp were plump and cooked perfectly. The grits were creamy and cheesy. I would order this over and over. The portion was generous (I took half home). My husband had the Americana breakfast. The standout of the dish was the thick cut smoked bacon, which was intensely smoky and delicious. The scalloped potatoes were beautiful and tasty ad well. After lunch, we noticed Graham Rahal back by the cars. The cars are interesting, especially if you are a race fan. Mel told us that they open the "garage" up to visitors once a month, usually third Saturday, so we want to check that out. We loved the experience that we had at Bowdie's. We had made reservations a couple days in advance. They have several dining areas and a beautiful bar area. I thought the brunch prices were reasonable for the upscale food and ambiance. Bowdie's is a perfect date spot.

Luke was our server and he was super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We enjoyed being seated in his section! He described the Carrots appetizer as having a "100% success rate" which sounded hyperbolic but absolutely was not !! GET THE CARROTS! Even if you don't like cooked carrots (which I don't!) they are sooooo good and there's no other way to describe it. You just have to try it yourself. After the carrots, we thought it would be hard for the rest of the dishes to live up to that but our daily soup (always vegan) was so yummy! It was made with leeks/root vegetables and forbidden rice - absolutely delicious and very earthy! I was so pleased with just those two items, I could've stopped there and had a perfect experience. We both ordered the mapo tofu - and it was not like mapo tofu you'd get at a korean/chinese restaurant. It wasn't a saucy dish at all - in fact, it was intentionally dry - practically charred. It included rice cake which was interesting. I appreciated the charred/crispy texture with the chewy inside. I wouldn't order it again but if you like textured, spicy dishes you might enjoy it. Luke offered to get us something else but we were already full, so we declined. He also gave me a complimentary blueberry sorbet which was delicious and sooo fresh, and wished me a happy birthday! It was very delicious and necessary to rinse the palate. We had a great time and can't wait to come back when the patio opens up - we loved their mission to assist with providing job opportunities for autistic adults, too. It's a great restaurant with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere and phenomenal service.
