The owner is incredibly kind and is passionate about his creations. We went in for the second time to order some frozen empanadas and two chocolate churros to go, and while we were waiting, he gave us two buffalo chicken empanadas because he ''made too many". Not only was this kind, the empanadas were absolutely incredible. I really love that you can dine in and order them fresh, or get them frozen to enjoy later in the week. The dining area is small but clean. Since these are pretty small bites the need for space isn't really a problem. If you love empanadas or churros and are in the area, be sure to check out these two amazing businesses next door to each other. I want to note too that in the warmer seasons, he operates a food truck as well. Be sure to check out the website to see where the food truck will be at!

My husband loved his Chef Zee chicken salad, too. Service was timely, professional and friendly. Got daughter to airport on time, Thank you. We will be back,

We had a pleasant dinner on a Sunday evening out on the patio. Luckily it's covered so the little…read morebit of rain we had did not bother us. They had a very nice bread server with four individual oval French loaves with very tasty butter. We tried the provoleta with peppers because we like that a lot in Argentina, but this was nothing like it and I guess that was to be expected. There they have a bunch of drier version of provolone and they grill it directly on the grill grates and it doesn't really melt too much. This tasted like standard provolone cheese and it was melted in a bowl. It was tasty, and unfortunately they probably can't get the Argentinian version of the cheese they would need to do it correctly. Our friends got the beef brochette with asparagus and the outside skirt steak and both were fabulous. Well seasoned and grilled and tender. My husband and I got the 2 pound stuffed fillet! It supposedly had ham in the filling but I couldn't taste it or see it anywhere. Unfortunately it had a really strongly flavored sauce along with the portobello mushrooms. We expected something with fewer herbs, which kind of overpowered the beef. It's a shame because the way they described it on the menu is not what came out. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't what we were expecting and unfortunately, the beef flavor was hard to discern because of all of the herbs in the dark brown sauce. We brought our own wine and they didn't even have a corkage fee, which was amazing! We saw other plates go by with copious amounts of tomatoes and onions on salads and the filet mignon platter, it seemed like it was three or four pieces of fillet it had to be nearly a pound for one serving. The prices are pretty steep for the beef and they do charge $10 for sharing, however it might be worth just getting one of the larger plates and spending the 10 bucks to share as opposed to getting an entrée each and taking home lots of food which we did.

The warm table bread and butter was pretty good so it was an effort to keep from eating too much and ruining our appetite. We split a chicken empanada to start which was really good, especially with the chimichurri sauce. For mains, we split the parillada para dos - a large meat platter meant for two. It was came with a little house salad and was a super good deal with all the meat they gave you (we ended up with lunch the next day, too!) The best part of the dish was the short ribs. Super soft and sort of fatty tasting, but not in a gross way, in a really yummy way. We also really liked the chorizo sausage. The flap tastes good, but was a little tougher than the other meat. The beef sweetbread and blood sausage were different, a little bit of an odd texture, but still good.

It's tucked in an industrial park area, but there's plenty of parking and the service is just as warm and welcoming as their other location in Morton Grove! There's even a picnic table outside for anyone wanting to enjoy their hot empanadas right then and there. They offer a well priced lunch special that's $16 for 2 empanadas, 2 sauces, a side, and a drink! It's a great deal! I got several empanadas - Butter chicken which tastes just a delicious plate of homemade butter chicken wrapped in a flaky baked crust. It's not spicy, but spiced well for all the flavors! Philly Cheesesteak our family favorite. Cheesesteak in an easy to hold flaky crust. I kinda wish there was a little more cheese, but they don't skimp on the meat! Chicken pot pie, another tasty empanada. They top it with a sprinkle of fresh rosemary which isn't quite a favorite for our family, but it's pretty easy to remove most of it. It has all the fixings and flavorings of a warm, comforting pot pie! Mac and cheese - who would have imagined it could be an empanada, but it is and it's tasty. My son loves this because he really loves Mac n cheese and loves the empanada crusts. I got the elote as a side which is buttery and salty, a good side to accompany the meal. Fresh corn that crunched which made us happy. I also got the longonisa fried rice! If you never had longinisa, it's a must try. Imagine it to be similar to Chinese sausage, but less cured and just delicately seasoned. Everything about this fried rice made me wish I had more. I'll be returning to pick up some frozen take and bake so we will have them handy whenever the craving hits.

The beef itself is seasoned and cooked perfectly. I had it with chimichurri sauce and it went well with it. The Ube horchata was meh for me. I wanted to try it though and I'm glad I did. Just isn't for me. I'll save room for more empanadas next time.

We went during lunch and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of food and service. I would recommend to go - but don't get the AYCe options - actually order food from the bar menu. Excellent and great value Food (A-) The food from AYCE was a B+ while bar ordered food was a A. So one of my daughters got the churrasco experience and enjoyed the house special and ribeye . The other meats were good but a bit salty. The salad bar was pretty good also. Especially the bacon. Me, my wife and other daughter ordered off the bar menu and it was awesome. We got wings, steak, lamb, and both sliders - all of it was excellent. It was so good that this is going to be our good to place for family meals. Pictures posted below Service (A-) The staff was super friendly and nice. We went right at lunch open so not too busy. Prompt service and great job by the severs. The only caution is the wait for bar ordered food - it does take a while. I think the staff is focused on the Churrasco experience foods so anything ordered does take longer. But they were clearly trying there best Value (A) Split rating - would give Churrasco experience a B+ while bar menu a A+. Posted menu attached - next we go - we may order everything and try it - we really enjoyed it Insider tip- order from the bar menu and the quality of food is much better. If doing the experience stick with ribeye and house special. Join the rewards program - it is worth if you plan to go every few months. Also the interior is well appointed - it's not a quite place but not to loud

I came here after seeing the other reviews of the Deli and because of my love of empanadas. They have them here in a variety of sweet and savory flavors. The day I stopped in they had spinach, mushroom, ham & cheese, chicken, ground beef, cheese & onion, and on the sweet side quince, sweet potato, and caramel. As much as I wanted to try them all I decided to "just" go with spinach, mushroom, ham & cheese, chicken and the quince for dessert. The crust on the savory empanadas were crispy, flaky and buttery. All of the fillings were super flavorful. I'm only a recent convert to mushroom-eating, and the mushroom empanada was my favorite. I think it was the most flavorful of all of the ones I ate and I actually forgot that I was actually eating mushrooms! The quince empanada had a little thicker/harder shell, and had a quince jelly-like filling. It was very heavy but pretty good. Not too sweet. At a little less than $2 a pop, they're the perfect snack.

The first week was Peruvian. Having been here years ago (not sure if it was the same name) I already knew at the jump that this was our destination. This is an unassuming place in a strip mall, off Lake street. Upon entering you are greeted with, frankly, a beautiful bar and restaurant. The Alpacas are a great touch. We started off with some yucca cheese balls, tropical ceviche and bruschetta. We are still raving about the bruschetta a few hours later. The cheese balls were also amazing. Ceviche was fantastic, but we could have used a few additional plantains. For our meals we had a Arroz Con Pato (duck), Chaufa (a wok), and a Fettuccine à la Diabla Con Bife (steak and pasta). The best of the 3 was the Fettuccine (aka steak and fettuccine). The steak was cooked perfect, the entire thing had amazing flavor. The Arroz Con Pato looked nothing like the menu. It was very good, albeit with the duck being more on the dry side. Flavorwise though, very good. The wok, same deal - looked nothing like the menu. However the person eating it was pleased and that's all i care about. For dessert we had a passion fruit mango cheesecake which was delicious but so rich, not sure I've ever said that. Benefit to it being rich was that I brought it home to eat at my leisure. The spicy churro cake was also a hit. Service was great, it was lunchtime and one woman running both front and back of house but she did great. We loved it, and will return.
