Stopped in while visiting my family and so glad I did! Love empanadas and they surely know what they're doing! Location was in these office buildings, once you pull into the parking, take a right and you'll see their door! Ordered a whole bunch of different flavors. Got the Philly cheesesteaks (I'm visiting from Philly) and it was pretty good! Also tried their Argentinian Chicken and Pork Belly! Their dough is so good, slightly sweet, but not overwhelming. Love they have dipping sauces that come with every empanada order and they also provide you with recommended pairings. Even my mom (who is Filipino) and makes her own empanadas liked them and she's a hard critic :-) The portion for 1 empanada is generous, I was full after 1.5 empanadas and that was all i ate for lunch. My niece got the teriyaki chicken bowl which looked really good. I highly recommend this place! Will definitely be back when I'm visiting the family again. They also cater, which is an idea for my fellow Filipinos to bring to those family parties

Excellent! I had this chicken pot pie empanada at a food truck and it was great! In my wildest dreams it would have had more "juice" to it but it was tasty nonetheless

My office organizes Food Trucks for the employees during summer time and I had a chance to eat empanadas of Savory Crust. It was terrific - very delicious. I had a spinach feta one and each one was quite filling. The mean included elote and churro which also were appetizing. The service from the food truck crew was excellent - very prompt and accommodating. Our whole team gave thumbs up to this one.

Hawaiian BBQ Chicken W/ Rice, Bacon empanada - The image shows a takeout meal arranged on a paper bag on a car dashboard. The meal includes a fried empanada wrapped in paper, a clear plastic container with a salad containing vegetables, sesame seeds, and a small cup of sauce. The dashboard and part of a steering wheel are visible in the background.

Omg.... This place was soooooooooo good. I got the wrong empanada.. I didn't kno which one to choose but I wouldn't get the bacon one again. But this chicken bowl... yum yum yum. It was hot, fresh, tasty. I loved everything about it. I hope that this place never goes out of business

    Argentinian Beef... must try!

A small little spot, definitely worth the visit! Tried a few different options and they were all good! Not pictured is the pizza empanada. We were so full after sharing these 3 empanadas! Staff was very friendly and helpful when ordering. Definitely will be back to try the others!

Unpretentious, local, and delicious. What a gem this place is and not to mention, my daughter loves it. We tried the mac n cheese empanada which was good, but the mushroom one is much better. Flavor is on point and crust is not overpowering the filling. We also tried the ube horchata which I wish had more ube taste, but we did it for the aesthetics. Only docked a star bc I do feel it is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. All in all, I will be frequenting this place from now on so I definitely recommend it.

First time trying at the repeated recommendation of my brothers family and it did not disappoint ! Carry out only & used Toast to order - was ready right on time for pickup My hubby is NOT adventurous (meat n potatoes guy) so we stuck to basics and I chose 3 of the 4 sauces to at least get some additional flavors. - Pork Belly Empanada - very tasty pork & add a sauce of choice and you've got a great combo - Chicken pot pie - good flavors and named appropriately & didn't use any sauce - Philly cheesesteak - hubby was hoping to order without green peppers & I told him just pick them out. Definitely green pepper flavors but no large chunks of them to be found so this was a win for hubby -Picadillo - was good - had enough flavors going on so opted not to sauce it - wings with barbecue (cuz that's the only way hubby will eat them). They were good but I'd like to try ordering with sauce on the side next time to see if they've got great crunch - pork adobo fried rice - while it didn't look like it would have great flavors - it was surprisingly way better tasting than I thought it would be and the chunks of pork are decent sized bites - apple pie empanada - nice chunks of apple and yummy - triple berry empanada - taste was good but berries cook down so small we actually preferred the apple pie one better Sauces - I enjoyed using them with celery (from wings) - honestly feel the empanadas have so much flavor and can stand on their own - I didn't want to use the sauces on them Yes we ordered way too much food and had a lot leftover - they suggest 2 empanadas per person but for a lunch / lighter - having 2 different half pieces and a dollop of the fried rice was enough Dessert empanadas dough and shapes are different than the meat filled which is nice and keeps the price point lower Already trying to figure out when we can order from them again so that I can try their curry etc

Ok, I was hungry for Mexican food. A SoCal transplant to Chicagoland, I gotta say I was missin' it…read more So, as hub-hub was out of town on family business, I headed over on a windy Saturday night for some grub! I was greeted immediately and enjoyed the ambience. A bit old, but still nice. It even looked like they had an windowed view spot where we could see....what... the tortillas, maybe, being made? A good sign. I was sat in a very lonely spot, at the far backside of the restaurant on the only 2-person table I saw. Oh, wonderful. It appeared the table hadn't been completely wiped clean, so I asked a busboy to wipe it down - he very promptly complied- nice. Ok- as the menus came, so did the tortilla chips and homemade salsa- wow. The chips were THICK and the sauce was really good- albeit a bit spicy (not a crime!). The waitress came over, introduced herself, and I promptly ordered their special drink- the "Mexican Mai-Tai". Gotta say it was good! I ordered off their special menu- enchiladas tomatillo with pollo (chicken). I swear, less than 2 minutes later came a small bowl of soup (not expected, but ok) - then less than 5 minutes after ordering the main? Came the main! The beans and rice were nice; it came with a bit of shredded lettuce- and the 3 enchiladas were not bad. At all. Definitely satisfied my craving for Mexican food! Why the demerits? The holy grail of any restaurant is always the service. Once I completed the mains, the busboy quickly took the dishes off the table. And then I waited. And waited. I flagged down a busboy and asked for my check- he said he'd flag down my waitress. And then I waited. After 15 minutes, I bagged it. I put on my jacket and went to the host desk and complained. Though I was able to pay at the front desk, why did I have to wait? What was so important on a not-so-busy Saturday night that meant I had to wait for my bill? Just awful, La Hacienda. I don't mind waiting a few minutes (most restaurants have this awful habit of making diners wait too long for their bills anyway, right?). But 15 minutes? And even after I pointed this out I still waited to no avail? No diner should ever be asked to wait until they "got around to it". Would I come again? Naw. Sorry, but even though the early part of the meal was great and I was speed-served the food? The finish killed it for me.

My cousin and I are both sons of Peruvian immigrants so we are very picky about Peruvian restaurants. My cousin and his wife said I would be pleased. I ordered lomo saltado with Tallarines Huancaína. My cousin ordered the lomo saltado with rice. And my cousin ordered the Arroz con pollo. We also ordered the ceviche mixto. All the plates were a generous portions. The lomo was cooked perfectly and juicy. The flavor was on the dot. The Tallarines Huancaína were also extremely good and authentic. I tried the arroz con pollo and I got a flash back of my mom's kitchen when I was a kid. Buenaso!!! The ceviche had chunk of octopus, shrimp, white fish, yuca and the flavor had a little bite of spiciness we ordered medium. Also perfectly made. For sweets were ordered Alfajores. Such a good size with plenty of manjar blanco!!! This place is extremely authentic like being in my mom and aunt's kitchen. A must try and highly highly highly recommended. Don't miss out and check this place out !!!!

Been here twice, and it's so good that I keep forgetting to snap some pictures…read more We've gotten the ceviche which is nice and light. I wouldn't say this is one of the dishes that stand out though. Favorites were: Aji de gallina It's this creamy, nutty, stewed chicken with potatoes. It's so flavorful. So satisfying. Aguadito de pollo This is like a mint soup or cilantro soup? I'm not quite sure actually but the flavor is amazing! Light. Fresh. Savory. The chicken was so, so tender. There's rice in it too. It's like getting a lovely warm hug from Spring. It's green and don't let that be off putting if you're unadventurous--just try it! Tallerines a la Huancina con Verdes Could not get enough of this pasta! So creamy. And we simply got it for the kids, but it was one of my favorite things. We got it with the veggies, and there is nothing quite like the smoky flavor of these veggies. In Cantonese there's a flavor called "wok hei" and it's something that can only be achieved by a specific technique or cooking method. This dish has it. I want to try all their stir fried things now. If the veggies tasted this amazing, I can only imagine how much tastier everything else would be. I would go back if this was their only dish. 10/10 There really aren't many Peruvian options in the suburbs, and this place does its cuisine proud. If you play it safe and get American-catered palate dishes, you might just think this is ok. But if you lean into the national dishes that make it special, you're going to enjoy some really rich and vibrant flavors.
