Firstly, anyone saying the food doesn't taste good or they leave hungry is smokin crack ..... also,…read moresounds like you probably would of enjoyed a buffet instead. This place is incredible... the food is to die for. It's the first place I've been to and did not feel like bloated or so full to where I was sick because the portions were perfect. Nothing here fell short, in fact it's the first place in the burbs where the food wasn't overly salted or fried in some type of oil. Everything tasted fresh. The flavors were busting up in my mouth every bite I took, even down to snowball fight drink we had. I highly, highly recommend the bread cheese appetizer- this was something super unique to me as I've only had grilled up cheese one other time in Brazil, Queijo Coalho.... There was a beautiful twist on this cheese- crunchy, creamy, sweet, savory and the honey and tabbouleh were such a great finish to this dish. Pair this with the fresh bread and it was chefs kiss! We had the beer braised short rib and seabass- two completely different flavored entres that we absolutely perfect. The short rib you literally can't go wrong with- melted in my mouth with every bite - and hats off the the chef who cooked the onions so perfect to actually be able to taste them instead of just carmelizing or salting them! I would call this your typical Midwest comfort dish. The seabass was much different the salad was tangy with the lentils being rich- add a nice cooked crispy top seabass and you got yourself a unique dish of flavors that will have you thinking what's in it after hours! But the star of the show was dessert of course - OMFG - s'mores ice cream sunday ....... I died and went to heaven literally. I have never tasted ice cream that mimicked everything I've ever wanted my ice cream to taste like. It was the perfect temperature (trust me a lot of restaurants it's either rock hard or melted) this was epic. Creamy, almost pudding like and being able to taste every note was wild to me. The graham cracker - yes the freaking graham cracker was the best one I've ever tasted in my life. Clearly I've never had a graham cracker without preservatives before. The chocolate syrup .... Jeeze let me tell if I could swim in it I would.... The service was friendly, prompt and right on time. The server knew all the cues and timing of all the food to come out. She checked in everytime we got something to make sure everything was just right... you can tell she takes her job seriously but also knows how to interact with people - something a lot of servers lack these days so we really appreciated the service. As for the atmosphere- this place blows a lot of the chi city restaurants out of the water. The organic feel but fancy! Oh, and I can actually talk and hear myself think without blasting music over my head. We will be back ... but honestly please change nothing here- everything you're doing here is fantastic!

Service is VERY slow. Whether by design or intent, I cannot determine but if you're hungry, don't come here or you will be excruciatingly hangry. Understand that this is not a high table turnover environment. The dinner rush is not exactly witnessed here. Ive never seen a grill line have such a lack of sense of urgency but it quickly made sense as I recognized it had been 35 minutes since an order was put in. Aside from that also understood the food was absolutely amazing, is it worth the wait? Yes if you understand the length of time it may take to get it. Come here not needing to eat immediately and enjoy the ambiance, the drinks, be in the moment, and let the food be an afterthought. I will most certainly be back.

It's nice inside, they have a bar on one side and tables on the other. Our server was very good, answered questions and was attentive. We started with a Bourbon and Berry Lemonade that was recommended to us and those were outstanding. Not too sweet, very balanced and dangerous. They had me at beef tallow fries, I had to get a sandwich. Our friends love the smash burgers and that is what my wife got, I was in a different mood and went with the Alabama white BBQ sauce chicken sandwich. The fries are pretty great, perfect double fried, just like I like them. The Chicken sandwich was underwhelming, it tasted good everything was good about it but it was this kinda small, fast food looking sandwich. Plus it was like $18, for that I need more. These days with all the big impressive chicken sandwiches around, it left me very underwhelmed and disappointed. The other issue was my wife's massive impressive looking burger across the table, sure didn't help. Her burger was messy, juicy and very good. She's not big on fries and got a side salad, and it was a substantial salad, I can't wait to go back and try other things, for what we ate and drank I felt was very reasonable.

Whiskey Bend has a name that helps you choose what to order. Of course there's tons of liquors to choose from. These and the food can get pricy but there's a happy hour for money saving. Coming in here it was surprising we could get seats at the bar. It's got a happy hour. This is when to save money on the expensive menu. Got a few good things out of it. The liquor menu has tons. It's $10 for an Old Fashioned. This is a pretty strong one. Also has cheaper prices on food such as burgers. There's just not a ton of things here for vegetarians. It's about $16 for the Avocado Salad. This has cilantro, cucumbers, red onions, and tomatoes. A lot but it wasn't that filling. This is still probably the healthiest thing you can order. Got to come at happy hour. It's from Mondays to Fridays and includes drinks and some food items. They're open later on weekends.

There was an eclectic blend of choices but they didn't have two titles I was seeking, and the clerk seemed slightly annoyed when I inquired. The restaurant, though small, was more accessible, and had some great food! I had the roast pork apple sandwich and my friend got the signature salad, and we split the bourbon pecan pie, all of which were delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive even though it was busy, and other servers also kept an eye on bussing empty plates from our table. Parking is across the street; both crosswalks had steps leading down from the parking lot. Would certainly return for the cafe!

The restaurant has a beautiful aesthetic that feels modern, bright, and inviting. The private room where the party was held was perfect and conveniently located right off the main dining room, which made it feel both intimate and connected to the rest of the restaurant. The service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, consistently checking in and making sure everyone had the drink refills they wanted. She did a great job managing a larger group, which really added to the positive experience. The food was phenomenal. As a starter, we had the prosciutto and fig bruschetta, which was a standout. I had never tried anything like it before, but I absolutely loved the balance of sweet and salty flavors. It was unique, well prepared, and a great way to start the meal. For the main course, we sampled a variety of dishes, including pastas, chicken parmesan, and the wood-fired pizza. Everything we tried was flavorful, and there were no complaints from anyone at the table. I loved the margherita pizza and the pepperoni pizza! I also ordered the Ibisco Fizz mocktail, which had an amazing balance of hibiscus tea, peach, and lemon flavor with a bubbly texture from the soda. I'd order this again, too! Overall, this was a wonderful first visit with great food, service, and atmosphere. I would love to come back for dinner in the near future to try more items from the menu.
