I BOUGHT 12 savory empanadas, on top of that PLUS 2 dessert empanadas. I do not know why you keep on pushing the total 15. If we follow your logic, the promotion should've said, "Buy 15 empanadas, get 3 free". Rest assured I didn't get anything free, as you kept on insisting I should buy 1 more to make it 15. What a special find! Tucked in an area you would never expect, was this gem. A great little place which bakes up a unique variety of delicious empanadas along with other tempting offerings. Saw a quick review on Next Door and had to give it a try. Although I only bought empanadas, I was blown away by the fig, Brie and bacon as well as the spinach and feta. The crust was buttery and tender. Sauces unique. Bought the pork belly and if it's anything close as delicious as the others were, I am really looking forward to enjoying it. What a delicious, amazing hidden gem. My husband and I ordered one of each Empanada and split them in half so we were able to try each one. They were ALL so tasty that we just dived in and didn't think to take any pictures for the review. My favorites are the pork belly, chicken curry, picadillo and the chocolate-banana dessert one. This is a MUST try place! Ordering and pick up was extremely easy. I tried three different types, pulled pork, chicken pot pie and cheese. They were all amazing. We loved the picadillo , Argentinian Beef, chicken pot pie, bacon & cheese, and mac&cheese. Our favorites were the picadillo, AB, and the bacon&cheese. It is incredibly savory and flavorful. It left us both wanting more. Chicken Curry great flavor. Not overpowering - absolutely delicious Filipino Beef - AMAZING!!! The empanada dough has a very flaky and buttery flavor - very nice. Chicken Marsala - The chicken was cooked to perfection but it could be a little on the dry side unless you eat it right away. The empanadas are filled, so there are no holes or empty spots. My co-worker could not stop eating them :) Bowl: Beef Kaldereta - Beef is tender and has a rich flavor. I will order this again!! Our last bowl was the Chicken Teriyaki - fresh veggies. Chicken cooked to perfection and the sauce is not too sweet with just the right amount. I recently placed an order at their Carol Stream location for a birthday party of a variety of empanadas, sides of elotes, chicken fried rice and jicama salad. Every single item was delicious. I have tried them on several occasions now. Orders were always correct and they seem to be very nice people. The elotes were good, maybe just not as tangy as I've has elsewhere. All I've tried are the empanadas. Argentinian, pork belly and chicken pot pie. All were tasty although I wish there was just a bit more filling in each. The crust was crispy and buttery tasting with a bit of sweetness to it. The accompanying sauces were good with the chimichurri the standout particularly with the more meaty empanadas. A decent sized appetite will require 2, for a snack or smaller appetite 1 should suffice. Will be definitely be going back for more and to try some others. Just not a lot of choices in the area except for the same ol' franchises so this is a good change of pace. Need more independently owned food providers like this in the area.
