Bien Trucha absolutely delivers. The chicken taco was incredible--so smoky, rich, and packed with flavor. The elote corn was just as good, creamy and perfectly seasoned. I also tried a non-alcoholic tequila drink, and it blew me away--refreshing, balanced, and honestly one of the best NA cocktails I've had anywhere. But the real showstopper? The churros at the end. Crispy on the outside, soft inside, and ridiculously good. I'd come back just for those alone. From start to finish, every bite felt thoughtful and full of flavor. Bien Trucha is a must-visit in Geneva.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. I recommend making a reservation as it's very popular. It's a quaint place as well so it fills up quickly. My favorite place to sit is outside on the patio. All the tacos are delicious and I like that they rotate the menu every few months so there's always something new to try but that they also keep the tried and true classics. It's hard to say my favorite taco honestly because they're all so good. The drinks are also really good and my favorite is the strawberry margarita. Worth the higher price 1000%. I would come here every week if I could.

Great taco spot for Geneva! They have such a cute patio. We started with the tilapia ceviche. It was my first time have ceviche with tilapia. They paired it with a mango salsa. It was okay- the texture was throwing me off. I ate the whole thing but, I wouldn't order it again. All the tacos were great, my favorite were the fish tacos. It had a ton of flavor. I would definitely come back. I would love to try their breakfast menu.

Hidden 3% fee which does not legally have to go to employees? Come on.

Weird little space--was it once a residence? A hot dog stand? No one knows, but the tacos are impeccable and they have an avocado margarita (ahuacatl) which is hard to find. This is the same restaurant group as A Toda Madre in Glen Ellyn. Our one beef: stop the 3% hidden fee nonsense. In the state of Illinois restaurants can use that extra money for whatever they want.

We received a gift card for this little gem and was not disappointed. We ordered drinks, a margarita and Pacifica beer. We started with the trio salsa appetizer, no longer on the menu. The salsas were fresh and spicy. We each ordered taco, the Bein Trucha and Carnitas, The carne asada were so good and covered with roasted serrano salsa. The pork shoulder was tender and so well done. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside on a hot, humid night and the indoor is intimate with cushioned benches. The service was excellent. Our waiter offered suggestions. A delicious Mexican restaurant in Geneva.

Oh my goodness, we've been to this spot a few times, and it's always a delightful experience! The shrimp tacos? Hands down, the best I've ever tasted! I can't recommend them enough. The shrimp is perfectly crunchy, paired with a scrumptious sauce, and the beets on top add such a fun and unique twist. We loved them so much that we ordered more after finishing our first three half-orders of tacos! The plates are on the smaller side, which I actually love because it lets you mix and match with half or full-sized orders to explore all the different flavors. We've also tried a variety of dips and drinks here, and every single thing has been nothing short of amazing. The staff is super attentive, and our dishes always come out lightning fast. A must-visit spot for sure!

Does Bien Trucha have a large tequila menu, like their Naperville restaurant (Quibo)?

Yes they do and a great selection

Do they have high chairs available?

Trust me in the fact that you will not want to bring a child to Bien. You are practically sitting on top of the table next to you. It would be a super tight squeeze even if they did have them

That was on me, but still, the drink itself was solid. For my meal, I got the spicy shrimp appetizer, and we also shared guacamole and chips--probably the best guac I've had yet! The chips were light and airy, which I really appreciated. Our friends got the fish tacos with a side of rice and beans--also very fresh and flavorful. The tuna tacos were great too. Our waiter was really nice and had no issue splitting the checks for us. The inside is nicely decorated, and the wall of tequila adds a fun touch. The outdoor seating felt a bit cramped though--where we sat, it seemed like we were super close to other tables, and it was a little tight for the waitstaff to move around. Overall, a really good experience! They weren't kidding when they said spicy shrimp--it was definitely spicy, but in the best way. The breading and flavor were on point.

My boyfriend had a variety of tacos (fish, shrimp, and ribeye steak) but the fish taco was his favorite. There were only 2-3 young men working the front of the house and they were hustling. They spoke very loud and clear (a good thing!) and stayed busy taking orders, cleaning tables, and checking on guests. Job well done to those hard workers. Inside is a bit tight. When we visited, a part of the restaurant was closed off for a party so seating was limited to the few tables up front. Don't waste your time on asking for salsa verde because it tastes like nothing. The queso fundido is good but gets dry and hard fast. It's not very cheesy and melty like others I've had. Don't waste your time on the guac either, it's just mashed avocado. It needs some seasoning or spice or lime at minimum. And the chicken fajita's are absolutely awful. It was so disappointing. They have a very sweet and almost bbq-like taste. Also, you really don't get much chicken even. It's mostly just onions and peppers. I had to spit them out. The rice is good though.
