Great authentic Mexican food! Friendly staff & excellent service. Had the taco plate & tostada plate.

Checked out this modern Mexican restaurant in Bartlett. It has a coziness about it. JC's is casual but classy at once. A lot cleaner than many restaurants of this cuisine. There's also a pretty cool patio. A pretty simple menu but you can choose what to get in your entrees. It's got burritos, tacos, and more with choices of protein. There's also of course alcohol so get some great stuff. A lot more to choose among drinks. It's about $10 for a margarita. There's several flavors and I got the mango one. Just could have been bigger. It's about $15 to get the Taco Dinner. These come in choices of American or Mexican style. Of course we got the latter. These are cropped with cilantro, lime, and onions. Also gets choices of sides, and there's lots to choose. We got the black beans and veggie rice. A good amount to eat. The prices were okay for getting a lot. Good enough to go to again. It's located across from the Metra station. There's plenty of burritos and tacos for vegetarians. read more

Great patio and even better service! Very attentive and accommodating. Food was good and drinks were cold.

We had driven past this restaurant a number of times and decided it was finally time to try it. The restaurant is bigger than it looks from the outside. The food and service was great. Cute place and I can't wait to visit in the summer to enjoy the patio with some tacos and margaritas. read more

Great Mexican food spot in downtown bartlett. We have come here for years and enjoy the food and service! I usually order the veggie enchiladas with green and red sauce and it is very good. The only reason I docked a star this time was the the food was a little bland at first. We had to add a lot of sauce to the salsa and guac to enhance the flavor, but other than that great experience. We also tried the flan this time, which I definitely recommend! Overall, great place in bartlett downtown! read more

Service is amazing, very polite, knowledgeable and attentive. Love the ambience of sitting out front, plenty of room for people to get by. Food so delicious and cooked perfectly! Love the margarita flight. Keep up the wonderful work and thank you! read more

Surprisingly small portion given the price point for their food. It was also not great. There was definitely a strange taste that should not have been there. This is the second time I've had Mexican food since moving to Bartlett, and both times have been disappointing. I doubt I'll go back, sadly. TLDR bad tasting, overpriced food. Do not recommend. read more

JC's was average. The service was really good. We took seats outside. If you do not want typical Mexican carry out, I do recommend going. I ordered flautus. The shells were extremely hard. I've never had flautus like that. That was my only complaint. We were a party of seven. Everyone else enjoyed their meal. I would go back for a nice relaxing day to sit outside and grab a bite to eat. Very small so if you have a large party I do not recommend going. read more

We've been going to JC's for several years now and have never been disappointed with the food. The steak tacos and chile rellenos we got last time were the best we've had in Bartlett, and the woman who served us was wonderful. We'll go back often. read more

We were disappointed in both their service and food. We asked for elote corn instead of the 2 sides and didn't receive it. We had to ask another server for water which our server didn't bring. Our food was lukewarm and not that good. We had to wave down our waitress for a box and the check. read more

This restaurant is across from the Bartlett metta train station. At night, the exterior of the restaurant is decorated with lights and looks very festive and inviting. The interior ambiance is relaxing, modern and a little whimsical, which is different than other Mexica restaurant I have been to. The staffs are very friendly, and they try to address every guests as quickly as possible. They have gluten-friendly options (can't guarantee cross contamination in the kitchen). There is also a good selection of drinks. Let's talk about the food. It is delicious - flavorful, visually appealing, and light! What I mean by light is that it is not greasy. After the meal, we feel well fed but not weighted down. Check out this little gem! read more

My family and I stopped into JC's this afternoon, a hot day, when we missed our train across the street. We were disappointed about this. The owner immediately brought us water and free chips and was accommodating to our three small children. The guacamole we ordered was excellent, the experience and hospitality soothed our spirits and painted Bartlett in a positive light! read more

Chimichanga dinner and my friend is having the taco dinner and it was soooo good I had to stop and take a photo before I demolish this dish!!! The service is great and the food is QUALITY!! I haven't been to a Mexican joint this good in such a long time. The guacamole was fresh and the nachos were perfectly balanced with all fresh ingredients. Best part is waking up and your not sick from what you ate last night. They deserve 5 stars. Definitely is my new go to spot for Mexican food read more

The food is always good here. The staff is friendly with good service and the ambiance is on point as well.

The food is from a can, and the people there specially the woman owner is a little rude if you questions about ingredients.

Super nice family, good food, love the outdoor seating. Love that's its walkable distance!

I came here by myself on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. My goal was to find a nice Mexican restaurant for my social meetup group to enjoy. The service was great and cheese enchiladas delicious! The salsa served with the chips tasted a little flat. I loved the presentation of the food! Margarita good too, more reasonably priced than other places. Very nice patio and parking was easy. Very basic interior and is an authentic Mexican restaurant. Separate checks available for 10 people and patio seating thru beginning Nov. to reserve a dine in area for more than 10 people requires a minimum $20 per person purchase. My group size would therefore be limited to 10 people and I do prefer more. I do recommend this place! read more

Food is so good! Highly recommend this place. It's consistently delicious and the people that run the place are so nice.

One of our favorite local Mexican restaurants. Great location in Bartlett downtown. They have outdoor seating in summer as well. We ordered a Chicken Gordita and a Chicken sope as part of a pick 2. It was delicious as usual. Protip - Upgrade your side dishes to Elote for $1 more. It can be easily shared with one more person. I also love their hot salsa, it has a really good kick. read more

I don't know what it is about this place, but the services soooo slow. I have been here a few times in hopes that it was a one off. Unfortunately that isn't the case. They are in no hurry at all and don't seem to care if you need something. The food is average, but I just can't go back anymore. On top of that they are very stingy with there condiments. We asked for an extra Salsa and didn't get it. So then we asked the next person for a salsa. They both ended up coming out with one then and got into a private argument about it. The mother ended up taking the salsa from the son and wouldn't let him put 2 on our table. Just weird things like that. I will move on. read more

Authentic Mexican food. Pleasant staff. Great enchiladas, burritos and steak fajitas.

We tried JC's at a coworker's suggestion. The shrimp fajitas had no flavor. My friend's chicken quesadilla was just ok. The house margarita tasted like premixed margarita mix. Not worth $8.50! We couldn't taste if there was any Tequila or not. I did enjoy the mexican rice and refried beans. Nothing was bad. It just wasn't very good. read more

Really love this place as a small and quaint Mexican eatery. Have eaten here a few times and most of the items we've ordered have been fantastic. Today was my first visit. Came for lunch at 2 pm so we were the only ones there. Sat outside. We ordered something I've never had before, so I can't compare it to anything. The service and food were both good. I plan on coming back and trying other menu items. As others have said, they serve a small portion of chips. The sauce was good, and not like anything I've had before. The people could not have been nicer. read more
