    Three tacos

Let me start off by saying the food isn't bad. It's average for a Mexican restaurant. I will say that this place is INSANELY OVERPRICED. Portion sizes are small. I ordered 3 tacos and they were barely two bites each with little steak. $4.10 a piece WAS NOT WORTH IT. I also got a large steak quesadilla which also barely had any steak in it. $10.99 for barely any steak and cheese on a tortilla is CRIMINAL . Also, I tipped 15 percent thinking maybe I'd get some chips and salsa for spending what I spent- NOPE. I had to get up to get my tacos. Couldn't even bring them to me. I won't be coming back. The food is decent, but the prices and service do not make this place worth stopping at. Better off trying something in West Chicago off 59. Also, no bathrooms???? Bro I paid almost $40 for barely any food and I can't wash my greasy hands after????

Great Mexican food! Don't sleep on this amazing local gem…read more Very family friendly. Incredibly delicious, savory food that is both filling and satisfying. Chips, salsa, pico de gallo, and escabeche (pickled vegetable) hit your table and is a snack in itself. Salsa amazing. Green & mild. Red & hot rich and flavorful with that toasted char from the tomatoes that really comes through. I do love my burritos, but there's so much to choose from here. Tacos lengua, chorizo, pastor, and more. Great big plump tortas. Mix em up for an assortment of flavors. Recommend getting the caldo de res (beef soup.) An extremely rich and beefy soup with plenty of vegetables and big chunks of beef. Great staff. Waitress couldn't be more accommodating. She can tell you how everything is prepared which speaks of the handmade quality of the ingredients and the dish. Get the horchata or jamaica or mango Jaritos for a good pairing with your meal. Although, they do have plenty of alcoholic beverages, including margaritas, piña colada's and beer to choose from, such as Modelo. Highly Recomend.

They'll also load you up on the pickled veggies and salsa. The refried beans are fabulous. The menudo is good. The burritos are excellent (and a great size). Haven't had a bad meal to go or sit down. The inside of the place is festive. You'll get the occasional day with extremely loud TV, music, or even karaoke. Lots of table seating and a few bar seats. The michelada's are excellent...large and refreshing. The service is wonderful and they'll over fill you with chips and salsa.

Given the number of reviews for its location, it appears to be a local staple for Mexican food. The menu was a good size and they had a lot of different choices of meat choices for tacos. My review today is based on the taco dinner that I ordered. I went with my standard go to selection for tacos in a dinner: Tripa dorada, Al Pastor and Asada. I can definitely say that it was all very different, in a positive way. Their tripa dorada was fried to almost a chicharron (pork rind). I've only had tripa done this way in a few other places and it's not common. The Al Pastor was different from what I've had anywhere else. The meat selection was different. The marinade was different and was more on the sweeter side.....some kind of sweet spice, I can not point it out. The carne asada was also a very different cut. It was nicely chopped. The meat was very tender and was easy on my bite as I ate. Despite all the differences that I am pointing out, the food definitely felt fresh and good quality. This is perhaps why it has as many reviews as it does, they want to be selective and not afraid to do it slightly different than everyone else. The portions were very generous. The salsas were also good. They have one green salsa and two red salsa options. One red salsa was spicier than the other. Another highlight were the Totopos (chips). They looked home made, made in house unlike a lot of places where chips may be processed. The only thing that I would critique was that my asada had a noticeable oil drip, more than I would have liked. That's the only thing I would say. The waitress was very attentive and would come around very often to check on me. I would encourage you to come check it out for yourself.

I finally found the right time to try this place, being in the mood for a dine-in Mexican dinner…read more It's a nice place with pleasant servers, and kudos to the guy who filled my water 3 times. I was torn between a chicken mole dinner or just good old tacos. I opted for the tacos Al pastor with rice and beans. I have had Al pastor at many, many places, and it's been interesting to see people's takes on the recipes. These were, hands down, the best I've had anywhere. The meat was charred nicely, yet tender. The marinade/sauce had the perfect balance between the sweetness of the pineapple and the counterbalance of the lime, cilantro, and onion. I was so proud of my selection, that I ordered some to-go for my daughter to try. I also had a delicious strawberry margarita and finished off with a tres leches dessert. Everything was superb! I'll be back for that mole someday, and will also try their Taco Tuesday. Judging from my food, as well as the presentations of others choices that I noticed, I believe their chef is seriously talented and creative.

My wife and I are pretty stuffed right now! I had the quesabirria tacos and she had a spicy shrimp dish with avocado and tortillas. Near Hanover Park and in the mood for some Mexican cuisine? Check out Orale!

The chips are sprinkled with a red powder and the salsa is a green chunky blend... so yummy! She put three different bottled sauces on our table too (see photos) the menu has lots of great options! Something for everyone... kids section too. I ordered the Pozole soup! Oh boy the soup very filling and flavorful. The temperature is just right. The meat is very tender and the beans are nice and chewy (Not hard or soft). This is the best Pozole I have ever had. I will definitely order it again. It came with a stack of crispy corn tostadas, onions, lettuce, and slices of limes! So so yummy! My husband ordered the Fajita Texana (a burrito with steak, chicken, and shrimp) he said the Fajita Texana was very good with all the vegetables and meats mixed together. It marinated well and made the flavor really stand out. We highly recommend dining here and will definitely come back again!
