It's my first time trying from Inches Tacos and ordered thru UberEats. I got an azada burrito, 3 azada taco meal and horchata. It's one of the best I've tried here in the suburbs. They're tasty and fresh, a lot of meat in the burrito and tacos. I will surely order from them again. read more

I picked up from the truck for a doordash order. No one was in the truck and I had to call the number on the side of truck. Guy comes out of the house, no hand washing, prepares the food for my delivery with a phone in his hand talking the whole time. Not sanitary. read more

Had the chance to try Inches Tacos this week , and love it ! Tried the tacos de chorizo and al pastor with a agua de horchata . The tacos al pastor by far were my favorite, perfectly cooked and with pieces of pineapple to make it even better ! The horchata was not too sweet which I loved , and the salsas were delicious! I have yet to visit the actual location , but as a food truck I would definitely recommend them ! Great food and even better staff! read more

Horrible tacos! Over cooked, burnt steak, dry tacos. I went through the drive through with hopes of taco ecstasy. This did not happen. I was given meat that should have been discarded. Unfortunately I feel this is the fate of drive through guests. Give them the leftovers and they won't complain because they are driving through. If I was I dine in, I would have sent my food back. read more

TACOS: The tacos were made on the spot, and super hot to the touch. Everything held well within the tortilla. The al pastor taco was good but left more to desire. The Chorizo on the other hand was full of flavor. You have the option of getting tacos served with onion and cilantro. NACHOS WITH MEAT: $10 for the one size circular container that was stuffed to the top! Full of various ingredients and generous with the meat! Ambiance was quiet. The food truck is parked in a personal driveway. The service was well and the cook explained what the food was served with. The salsas were NOT spicy at all. & drinks are $2+ read more

The service was good waited 5 minutes for the food which is fine but the meat smelled/ tasted old I do not recommend

Great food for reasonable prices! Ordered tacos, rice, beans, and an horchata... it was all yum. Catered their rolling taco truck for kids sporting event party and it was a hit! Friendly service and easy to work with team. Definitely recommend you check them out. read more

I ordered my food about 45 minutes ago. I got the text that it was in the locker. As I went to the locker to get my delicious tacos (it was my 4th time ordering from here, since it is the only walkable place from my office), I got an error and the locker wouldn't open. I yelled that my locker wouldn't open... then some guy came out to hand deliver food to another customer and I said to him: sir, my locker won't open. I can't get my food. Then he mumbled something and told me to check my order on a tablet that was on the other side of the room, and he went back inside. Checking my order was lame and useless. That's why I had a receipt and a couple of texts. One that it would take a certain amount of time to get my food, and the other was the link to open the locker. Then I peeked over the curtain, and saw a man walking down a ramp. I told him the locker for my food wouldn't open, and he did NOTHING. So I had to go back to work empty handed. Was charged $15 too. I have no food with me, and I think just that, the lack of customer service is lame. I'd rather just trap a pigeon and eat it like a savage wild child that was raised by wolf in the wild of Nebraska. If no one will help, I'd say this place is lame. I bought food. Locker wouldn't open. No one helped. I am out $15. I think I'll just eat some Cheetos from the vending machine. I seriously wanted carne asada tacos. read more

Tried this place out for the first time recently and I love that they have carnitas and not just Al pastor (I prefer pork without the sauce). The taco dinners we got were really good. The rice is delicious with the veggies in it (especially the potatoes). We ordered thru a 3rd party app and it was very fast delivery. I think it might have just been so late it was the very end of the night and they ran out of tamales because they gave us an extra taco instead but it was still really good lol the elotes were also very yummy. Very convenient location to us as well. Can't wait to try more! read more

I've been to this place twice. The first time we went it was really phenomenal. Today, though, was completely the opposite. And of course, we didn't realize it until we got home to eat. We ordered 3 carne asada, 1 tongue and 1 carnita taco. We ended up with 5 dry, flavorless "steak" and 1 chicken taco. The steak was grayish colored with zero flavor at all. Most of the taco was onions. The middle taco was maybe half filled to the degree that we thought they'd forgotten it. We didn't eat them after a few bites. And the chicken one tasted just like the bland steak tacos. The street corn was inedible. I hope just a bad day but this was really one of the worst tacos I've ever had. read more

Tacos were mid at most. The horchata was horrible didn't even have ice at all. As well as the salsa for sure had gone bad already. Wouldn't go back at all. Do not recommend. read more

This is a food truck that is typically stationed along route 31 in South Elgin. For this review, I found them in our local subdivision on a cold November night during COVID. Everyone in the truck was wearing masks. They have a pretty vast menu, which is appreciated, particularly for a old truck. It appears the food is cooked to order, as it took about 15 minutes for my order to be ready. That's not a problem, just be prepared accordingly. Don't necessarily expect fast food timing. They seemed to be taking care with each order. I ordered the Mexican style tilapia tacos with beans, rice, and elote corn. The tacos were delicious, and the beans were a little unusual and sadly cold. Given that it was about 35 degrees out, I'll give them a slight break on the beans. Even cold though, their bean concoction was tasty. Rice was nothing special, but ok. The real star of the show was the Mexican Street Corn. It was warm, delicious and generously loaded with toppings. I'll be back! read more

I've been wanting to try this for months! We finally did and it did NOT disappoint! We ordered a little bit of everything: Ceviche- holy hell amazing and lots of it (medium size soft drink cup is what it comes in) Tacos- freshly made as it took about 10 min for our whole order to be done and tons more meat than local competitors! Mexican street corn- this was my favorite and probably one of the best I had. It wasn't doused in Mayo and had a little kick- perfect! Lastly, the prices are unbeatable. For 10 tacos, 2 ceviche, and one mexican corn = $50!!! We will most definitely be coming back. read more

Tacos, rice and beans were all great! My husband calls me a Tacotarian due to my obsession!

My burritos were seasoned so salty and my hubby and me have high blood pressure. I just hope we live to see tomorrow. This was my first time ordering burritos and you are not supposed to season food for this reason. Other than that it was really okay. I could have just eaten a cup of salt. read more

Decided to try this food truck on a whim since I kept driving past it. This place is awesome! Don't sleep on it! I got the carne asada burrito with everything in it, and a cup of the Mexican street corn. The burrito was enormous, and loaded with steak. It had flavor, and it had weight to it. The street corn was pretty good also. The prices are insane for what you get. My burrito was only $7 and the street corn was $3. The service was super quick and friendly. I highly recommend you give them a chance and check them out! read more

I walked trying to find them last friday in the rain, there was no such address, no food truck. What's funny is I was going to order through my uber eats my order was a steak nacho, jabirito tacos, and a horchata drink, this came to $37.99 on uber eats the reason why? I hopped on the bus and walked in the rain to get it my self in person. This is the reason for the bad review, I didn't see anything except a ghost kitchen, how do I know it's a ghost kitchen? I was looking for the wendy's in the neighborhood, and I found this building on 25th & wabash that the doordash and uber eats drivers pick your ordrrs up from, I saw it and my brother did to in our car, I live on 21fst & michigan avenue very close so that is how I know. I won't try to find them again, I was so upset and disappointed walking home in the rain to find nothing at 2537 south wabash avenue. read more

Great authentic burrito with a good ratio of ingredients. Make sure you get the hot salsa roja on the side.

Best tacos ever! I order them once a week. Not easy to find bc kind of an industrial area but the food is phenomenal take out!!!!!

My burrito was very good! The steak was tender, tasty and plentiful. The other ingredients were added in good ratios. I liked it!

Place was alright not to bad but not the greatest. Meat quality was horrible and the elotes was lacking to say the least.

Stopped here today for some quick tacos. For a food truck it was Very good. Guacamole was very good and fresh. Not spicy but did get some heat near the bottom of the bowl. Beef tacos with the sauce were really good also. Chips were not homemade but still good. Try them if you're driving by. Notice the Mexican STREAK corn on the menu read more

We just moved to South Elgin from Elgin a few months ago and my wife noticed this truck on the way home from work. Decided to try it last night and glad we did. This place is unbelievable!! I haven't had a decent burrito in ages, until stopping here. I often have burritos from el paraiso and el faros and regret it almost every time. I ordered a burrito which was made in a few minutes. It was almost as big as a new born infant child. The thing that really blew me away is that they put red onion and avocado inside. Along with some amazing juicy steak. Take it from this gringo, go to Inches and try yourself some real Mexican flavor! read more

Food was great! A little hard to find since it's a food truck! Ha ha! But very good all around!

Finally tried this place and it was very good! I didn't know what happened when I noticed the truck was gone on 31 then was told it moved. I got the chicken burrito and it was huge and full of chicken. Very tasty and the only downfall was not asking for more guacamole salsa. Will definitely got back to try the tacos. read more
