Had the chance to try Inches Tacos this week , and love it ! Tried the tacos de chorizo and al pastor with a agua de horchata . The tacos al pastor by far were my favorite, perfectly cooked and with pieces of pineapple to make it even better ! The horchata was not too sweet which I loved , and the salsas were delicious! I have yet to visit the actual location , but as a food truck I would definitely recommend them ! Great food and even better staff!

TACOS: The tacos were made on the spot, and super hot to the touch. Everything held well within the tortilla. The al pastor taco was good but left more to desire. The Chorizo on the other hand was full of flavor. You have the option of getting tacos served with onion and cilantro. NACHOS WITH MEAT: $10 for the one size circular container that was stuffed to the top! Full of various ingredients and generous with the meat! Ambiance was quiet. The food truck is parked in a personal driveway. The service was well and the cook explained what the food was served with. The salsas were NOT spicy at all. & drinks are $2+

I ordered my food about 45 minutes ago. I got the text that it was in the locker. As I went to the locker to get my delicious tacos (it was my 4th time ordering from here, since it is the only walkable place from my office), I got an error and the locker wouldn't open. I yelled that my locker wouldn't open... then some guy came out to hand deliver food to another customer and I said to him: sir, my locker won't open. I can't get my food. Then he mumbled something and told me to check my order on a tablet that was on the other side of the room, and he went back inside. Checking my order was lame and useless. That's why I had a receipt and a couple of texts. One that it would take a certain amount of time to get my food, and the other was the link to open the locker. Then I peeked over the curtain, and saw a man walking down a ramp. I told him the locker for my food wouldn't open, and he did NOTHING. So I had to go back to work empty handed. Was charged $15 too. I have no food with me, and I think just that, the lack of customer service is lame. I'd rather just trap a pigeon and eat it like a savage wild child that was raised by wolf in the wild of Nebraska. If no one will help, I'd say this place is lame. I bought food. Locker wouldn't open. No one helped. I am out $15. I think I'll just eat some Cheetos from the vending machine. I seriously wanted carne asada tacos.

Amazing food, came here several times and never had a bad experience. Quick wait time and large portions.

This is a food truck that is typically stationed along route 31 in South Elgin. For this review, I found them in our local subdivision on a cold November night during COVID. Everyone in the truck was wearing masks. They have a pretty vast menu, which is appreciated, particularly for a old truck. It appears the food is cooked to order, as it took about 15 minutes for my order to be ready. That's not a problem, just be prepared accordingly. Don't necessarily expect fast food timing. They seemed to be taking care with each order. I ordered the Mexican style tilapia tacos with beans, rice, and elote corn. The tacos were delicious, and the beans were a little unusual and sadly cold. Given that it was about 35 degrees out, I'll give them a slight break on the beans. Even cold though, their bean concoction was tasty. Rice was nothing special, but ok. The real star of the show was the Mexican Street Corn. It was warm, delicious and generously loaded with toppings. I'll be back!

I've been wanting to try this for months! We finally did and it did NOT disappoint! We ordered a little bit of everything: Ceviche- holy hell amazing and lots of it (medium size soft drink cup is what it comes in) Tacos- freshly made as it took about 10 min for our whole order to be done and tons more meat than local competitors! Mexican street corn- this was my favorite and probably one of the best I had. It wasn't doused in Mayo and had a little kick- perfect! Lastly, the prices are unbeatable. For 10 tacos, 2 ceviche, and one mexican corn = $50!!! We will most definitely be coming back.

Hands down the BEST mexican food in the area. Chorizo burrito is the best I've ever had, elote is also the best. So blessed to have this awesome food truck, it's my go to!

Inches tacos! Such a cute hidden gem. They had one man working the whole food truck! Ordered elotes, 6 veggie tacos with rice and beans, and chips and guac for $30. Such a steal for all of that amazing food. Come check em out! Just make sure to call the number on safari to see where they are located:)

My burritos were seasoned so salty and my hubby and me have high blood pressure. I just hope we live to see tomorrow. This was my first time ordering burritos and you are not supposed to season food for this reason. Other than that it was really okay. I could have just eaten a cup of salt.

My burrito was very good! The steak was tender, tasty and plentiful. The other ingredients were added in good ratios. I liked it!

Just opened last week so had to try it out since not many places offer good carnitas (only Al…read morepastor) around the area but these were very good. The tacos dinner with rice and beans was great! I ordered it with 2 carnitas and 1 barbacoa taco and the flavors on both were delicious. My BF ordered steak tacos (they forgot one but oh well... We went back later and got a pound of carnitas with tortillas and rice and beans to go and they gave us extra meat without us even letting them know, which was awesome!!!) And I thought the steak was pretty fatty and didn't have much flavor like the carnitas and other meats we tried. Also got the chicken in my third visit yesterday and the seasoning was really tasty imo. Great flavor on both types of salsa they give you to go as well. Tried the tacos both the traditional way (onion and cilantro) and with lettuce and tomato (plus cheese) and both are great - the onion is diced perfectly enough to melt into the meat when eating. My son LOVES the rice but it definitely tastes exactly how I make it at home, which is a good thing honestly because he likes mine too haha! Tried the cheese quesadilla and it was good... Could have been on the grill longer and had a bit more cheese on it but hey, it's a quesadilla and it's cheap lol Their homemade corn tortillas are perfection tho!! I saw them making them yesterday when I was waiting for my order and the woman in back was hand flipping them on the grill... Love it!! The service is very friendly and you can tell it's a family owned business, everyone worked efficiently. The prices are reasonable and it was actually even cheaper to get a family meal with the lb of carnitas and sides for all of us vs individual dinners which I love - unfortunately even tho we live super close, it didn't travel well and was somewhat cold and seemed a little dry by the time we got home to eat... Will have to try the mix of carnitas vs meat only next time to see if that helps. They kept the diner vibes inside the restaurant and it's very clean with cute little pig pictures all over the walls. I'm curious to see if they'll open and use the drive-thru in the future, which would be even better! Can't wait to see how they do. We'll probably use them for catering. Gave it a 4 vs 5 for flavor... Just needs to be kicked up a notch I think. But otherwise the carnitas that's in the name, they're definitely do the best with! So far so good.
