I met Bob's a year ago. It was love at first sight. With their Pilsen style pizza and the amazing dough. I thought I had finally found the one to settle with for eternity. Looking back at my order history for the past year, I've ordered from Bob's 26 times. Now, there were some that were a little disappointing than others, but it was consistent enough, and never had I ever had a terrible pie from them. But I guess it's true what they say.. nothing lasts forever. The last 2 times I ordered (a week apart, 1/1 and 1/8), my request for the sauce on the side for the wings were flat out ignored, and the cheese pizza came so well done with very little cheese to the point, the rock hard crust and dried out/paper thin layer of cheese reminded me of the good old fashioned cafeteria pizza from Y2K or more currently, Sarpinos Pizza.. my terrible ex. I couldn't finish the pie and had to toss it out, as it brought back terrible memories.. I get that the place might be busy and understaffed as is, with the current pandemic situation, but I'd rather wait longer for the food to come the way it should, at the quality it should, than pay for a.. very disappointing pie. Consistency is key, as we all know, and when you become a "regular" at any spot, that's the downside. You know when it's not done right. Granted, it's maybe less than a handful of times out of 26 times I've ordered in the past year, that it was disappointing; for it to be twice in a row, it may be time for me to take a break from Bob's and start seeing others. Bobs pizza popped up on my radar for a while it's just during the week we're in the area but they don't open till 4 o'clock so we happen to be there on a Sunday and I'm so glad we stopped in The place is in the Pilsen neighborhood and not on the busy usually streets with all the restaurants kinda off the beaten path so it was quite and cozy . The place is real clean and inviting so we were greeted as soon as we walked in and he kinda explains the menu and how to place your order so you have to go to the back of the restaurant and place your order and grab your number and find a seat no problem not crowded yet So we order the wings 4 and the Bobs sausage pizza and the grass fed beef meatball pizza So the wings show up there fried and then spices added after they had a great flavor and nice n crispy. I also like the blue cheese dressing on the side very strong but that's how I like it Next the pizzas show up one size only cut NY style slices big enough to fold in half typical of NY pizza thin in the middle and thicker at the ends flavors were great and the sauce is tomatoe not sweet so everything complimented each other with the onions Second the grass feed beef meatball pizza arrives another great choice the meatball and peperoncini have great flavor together so we couldn't finish both pies and ended up taking them home and pizza the next day was just as good as the first Great place good people and service we'll be back to try their pickle pizza read more

I came in at around 7 pm on a Friday. Ordered at counter and got my table number and got my pizza pretty fast. I ordered Bobs sausage pizza. It was pretty good. Crust was pretty nicely baked and the sausage on pizza was pretty good. Place is nicely finished and done. Washrooms very clean. Service was friendly as well and staffed well. Only negative is that they only have one size, 16" round pizzas priced from $16 to $21. I came in alone and had to take most of pizza home. There is so much pizza in this city. Like so much. So it always brings me a huge amount of joy when one of the pizza spots does something outside of the ordinary. In this case, it's Bob's. Wowsas. It was a bit of a trek for us, but honestly, I'd consider moving from the south loop to Pilsen just for that crust. Throw in a slice of pickle pizza and I might just live in the restaurant. Not only was the food great, but the service was fantastic. The owner was attentive and really took time to make us feel welcome. Bonus because it was his son's 2nd birthday and he shared some cake with my boys (and me). I'd review the cake his wife made (It deserves more stars than yelp allows), but sadly it isn't on the menu. Went here last night with some friends before they went to a show at Thalia Hall. I'd had my eye on Bob's for a while because, aesthetics alone, it looked delicious. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Service was super friendly, the restaurant was clean and inviting, the pizza came out piping hot and delicious. We had the Spinach Pesto and Stracciatella and a Pepperoni pizza. Additionally, the garlic Parmesan fries were a great pre-pizza snack, covered in grated cheese and a delicious garlic sauce. So I've been waiting to check this place out since I live near here and finally the day has come so the interior was left how Gino's East left it Make a modern design Little cramped but manageable to get around. So we order our pizza like at 7pm and he says it'll be done in 15 minutes we were like oh wow that's pretty quick and will be there in 25 so he said he'll wait and put the pizza in 10 minutes later which was nice of him. We walk in and there's two groups seated in the booth with their pizza I couldn't help but check out their pizza it looked good. It's thin but has a fat crust it was soft I like that kind of crust you kinda have the folder to eat it, The pepperoni was good the pizza sauce was good there was a slip of basil In my pizza but not complaining. I wish they have a bigger size only goes to 16 inch but we are big eaters so I wasn't enough it was kind of expensive for the 16 inch like 23 bucks But I saw their flyer buy one pizza get one free Monday through Thursday I think but is it the same size? So the oatmeal pie that's a good damn dessert It almost taste caramelized and the cream inside wasn't too heavy it was sweet fluffy and I'm taking my time eating it. Saw Bob's Pizza popped up on my news feed one day and couldn't help but to noticed the good reviews and pictures. Decided to give it a try myself and to my surprise they offer BOGO Thursdays. Ordered here a few times and my personal favorite is still the Bob's Sausage with Mushrooms. Second is the Pepperoni and third is the Grass Fed Meatball. I did not really care for the Grass Fed Meatball too much as I feel the pickled onion overpower the pizza. Also, I know people rave about the Pickle Pizza, but I am not really a fan of pickles so I didn't give it a shot. Anyways, you will not go wrong with the Sausage and Mushroom or Pepperoni and Mushroom. Definitely worth the $3 extra for the mushrooms. Haven't tried without the mushroom but highly recommended. They were not able to accommodate and cut the pizza in squares for some reason, which is weird, but slices works too I guess. Just be warn they are huge slices, which is a good thing!
