My wife is from New York and impossible to please with Chicago pizza. She does not like Chicago pizza. It will lead to our eventual divorce. I'm Southside Chicago through and through. I got her a slice from Chomp and she thought it was closest thing to NY that's she's had in Chicago. We've tried a lot! She actually like it. The guy working was cool and likable. He told me had some unfortunate interactions with earlier customers. Which adds to the "character" of grabbing a slice inside a slightly sketch L stop. Don't be afraid. Pull up. Pop on the hazards and grab a quick slice on the go. I really liked it! We'll be back.

Pizza was bland. Flavor of the sauce was decent but it wasn't distributed across the slice evenly thus my remarks of bland flavor. Price is high imho but the slices are pretty big. Crust was very evocative of New York style pizza. Only 3 items on the menu & they dont take cash.

Cheese pizza slice took a bite couldn't wait.

Who knew you can get a legit ny slice in Pilsen! Stopped in yesterday after hockey in need of a slice. Walked in the 18th st pink line station and it's right on the left. Ordered at the window and while I waited I talked to Travis about pro sports. $5 a slice you can't go wrong. Got it on a paper plate and I was out the door. That first bite was . Super thin dough with a great undercarriage. Every bite had a crunch. Sauce had a little tanginess which I like. Cheese was nice and melted. If you're in the area def worth a stop in!

This pizza is a dream come true. Quality slices, beautifully fermented dough cooked with a lovely char that balances all of the flavors (with this type pizza you want a little char to accentuate the dough's deliciously fermented flavor and texture. True pizza aficionados know this, otherwise, I might as well eat white bread with ketchup) Robust tomato and just the right amount of cheese. Keep doing what you're doing, Team Chomp! I'll continue to send folks in the neighborhood your way.

Brooklyn-style pizza inside the CTA 18th St Pink Line Station. $5 a slice, on a paper plate to go. No frills, just classic slices.

Chomp Pizza is hands down the best NY-style pizza in Chicago. I've had and made 1000's of NY-style pizza's in my life and they are far and away the best in Chicago. Travis and his dedication to making a quality product and not cutting corners is heavily apparent in his delicate, crispy, well proofed crust. The caramelized, stretchy, slightly salty cheese balances the clean, sweet, Tomato forward tomato sauce. A lovely bite all the way through. One slice isn't enough, get em while they last!!! Bravo Travis. Incredible job.

Slice perfection - A person holds a slice of cheese pizza on a white paper plate outside on a sidewalk.

Can't speak highly enough of this place. Fantastic slice of pizza. Among the best anywhere.

Amazing pizza totally recommend this hidden Gem! $5 only you can't beat it. If you're at a pizza connoisseur you definitely have to try this out.

Classic slice, had already eaten the other one - A large triangular slice of pizza with cheese, pepperoni, and a slightly charred crust on a white paper plate.

And…read moreI also knew I wanted to go to a Lou Malnati's location, since that's the chain I'd heard about the most. We showed up without a reservation on a very busy evening, so it was almost an hour of waiting before we were shown to spots at the bar, which suited me just fine because I'm always okay to sit at the bar. I felt like a cocktail and the Chicago-Style Bloody Mary ("Tito's Handmade Vodka, house tomato mix, pearl onion, tomato, Sport Pepper, pickle spear, celery salt rim") sounded quite tasty. And indeed it was. The balance of flavors was nicely done and the alcohol level was perfect. (I should also mention I'd been waiting for my chance to try the infamous Malort liquor, so when I spotted it on the shelf, I asked our super friendly and helpful bartender for a shot. She gave me a little smirk when I asked for it, which I thought was amusing, and then offered up a generous pour. It was...interesting. I'm glad I tried it but it's not something I need to ever drink again.) The star attraction, of course, was the deep dish. We opted for the Malnati Chicago Classic ("Made with Lou's lean sausage, some extra mozzarella cheese and vine-ripened tomato sauce on Buttercrust") and it was phenomenal. It was so cheesy and delicious, and that sausage was top-notch. I enjoyed the heck out of it, and I can safely say it even exceeded my already-high expectations. I'm so glad we hung around for Lou Malnati's. It was totally worth the wait.

Los Angeles I had Gjelina in Venice Beach and Pizzeria Sei in West Los Angeles and (again) both were excellent. Chicago this year I've had Dimi Dimi in Lincoln Park and tonight Pizz'Amici in Fulton Market and both outstanding. But if I had to pick a winner (so far) my 2026 champion is a tie: Both Chicago joints were crushing this wood fire favorite hands down. Pizz'Amici is this small, crowded, loud and incredibly popular parlor making some of the best pies around. There cracker thin, old school pizzas are sublime. We ordered their 14" pizza with onions and sausage and we enjoyed the hell out of this pie. It was flavorful and snappy! The staff here were at the ready for any thing you needed - pronto. I've been "around the block" a few times and I know when some foods are special. Tonight Pizz'Amici got my attention big time and it's way up on my "Go To" list, which is pretty damn exclusive list!

The onion rings, though, were absolutely fantastic. Service was top notch, and we were so well taken care of. I honestly can't imagine how they handled so many customers that night--kudos to the team. And the bathrooms were super clean, which I always appreciate. I'd definitely go back for a pint and to watch the game.

The location is also excellent. I love dining on the patio when the weather is nice and enjoying that Chicago River view. Note when dining in on the patio that it can get pretty crowded with a long wait time. Takeout has always been speedy! Between 6 girls we order calamari and meatballs to share along with the Cali Itali pizza and Carne. Umm the food was so delicious, the meatballs had so much flavor and really huge definitely a good little share. Then the calamari was perfect, not oily and super crunchy, I haven't had good calamari in forever so this hit the spot. Our pizzas were perfect, the dough had good flavor and the toppings were just the right amount. It's not Chicago's tavern style or deep dish but this was by far the best pizza we had all trip.
