We decided to give this place a try tonight since it has plenty of good reviews and is just a short walk away (Old Town location). We went with the Bob's Pepporoni because it looked good in the pictures. When we got it, it definitely did look good. But, it lacked anything to make the flavors pop. The sauce was okay, but nothing special. My girlfriend thought it needed more sauce. I felt it needed more... substance. There definitely wasn't enough cheese for a pizza place in Chicago. The seasoning was bland. The crust was okay, but just okay. They give you a decent amount of pizza for the price, but they're too stingy with the good parts. The Bob's pepperoni pizza was supposed to come with fresh basil, but only one of the six slices actually had any basil. I ate that slice; the basil did improve the flavor, but the flavors weren't balanced. Overall, it was just "meh." I don't think we'll order from them again. read more

I went to Bob's pizza for the first time and ordered the Korean pizza. Overall I thought it tasted really good, but there was not enough toppings on the Pizza. They also did cover the pizza entirely, and there was like a 2 inch crust edge that was just the crust. That I couldn't eat. read more

Superior pizza. Calling the store was met with helpful staff who accommodate dietary requests and even volunteered information on how to make the order more cost-efficient. Every single pizza we have ordered has been great. Even the ones I didn't think I would enjoy (too many mushrooms, etc.) were unique flavors I'm glad I explored. If I have any complaint it's that the crust seems a bit generic, though every flavor is obviously a deliberate and carefully planned choice so don't let that deter you. Every pizza's sauce and toppings and cheese combinations are very clearly chosen to compliment each other as well as the crust; it's just the the crust seems to "shine" the least. read more

We ordered pizza last night and I have never felt any sicker. I for sure got good poisoning from this place! The pizza came melted to the wax paper due to how soggy the crust was. Since I moved to Chicago three years ago, I have been on the hunt for a non-deep-dish favorite, and had not had very much luck. That is, until I tried Bob's. This is ok pizza. I will give them four stars and assume that they take some of these tips into account: -pepperoni is weak, get some better pepperoni - more cheese and sauce is needed on the pizza. It's great that the slices are not a flop fest like say, happy camper, but you have to have no flop but lots of cheese and sauce. -cheese bread needs work.
