Pickle pizza (just trust me it's delicious)! They're still working out a few kinks as they get this location up and running but the pizza still hits the spot. I wanted to be as honest as possible ordered the Pepperoni with mushrooms. They definitely do not skimp on toppings. Overall the pizza was okay, it wasn't something I would probably order again. The Brussels salad was a big disappointment. The quantity for the price was terrible in terms of having substantial ingredients it was basically a few tomatoes, Brussels sprouts, croutons and just filled with greens. Overall this pizza really reminded me of Costco pizza for some reason. This was for delivery so that maybe a tribute to my experience. read more

I heard about this place and since it is only a couple of blocks from my house I had to try it. I ordered online, which was very easy and intuitive. They gave me an estimated time of pickup and I got there a couple minutes early. The pizza was ready immediately and the staff working could not have been more friendly and repeatedly expressed their appreciation for my patronage. This really made an impression on me as it is pretty rare these days to hear that so specifically stated. I really wanted the pizza to be good. Minutes later I was home and ready to dig in to the piping hot Basil Pepperoni 16" pie. It smelled and looked delicious! Writing this now, I wish I'd taken pictures but I was too hungry and just went for it. The crust was remarkable--great chew on the main body of the pizza but bubbly and crispy on edges. The sauce was tangy and fresh. Not too sweet and the basil gave it an interesting balance to the overall flavor profile. The pepperonis themselves were full of flavor and covered most of the pie which is always nice to see. In general Bob's is not stingy with toppings which makes the pizza a great value at 20 bucks. Constructive criticism would be to use slightly smaller torn pieces of basil leaves. I bit into a slice and essentially pulled out a whole leaf--that's too much for one bite, for my tastes anyway. All in all though I'd give it 5 stars--excellent product served up by friendly and appreciative team. Welcome to the neighborhood, Bob's!! I truly love Bob's. I'm obsessed with the pickle pizza and the regular pizzas are outstanding too. My last order was sub-par though. I placed my order and got a message from "Slice" (I guess that's their delivery platform) saying it would come by 6:45. When it hadn't arrived by 6:50 I called the store to see what the ETA was and they said they had no record of my order at all. We were really hungry at that point so I didn't want to start a new order so just started making dinner. Imagine my surprise when my doorbell rings 10 minutes later with my pizza. Oh, and the pizzas were COLD. I know these small restaurants have many problems with their delivery systems and that's probably what happened here. If you're looking for a normal pizza, their pepperoni it has a kick to it and it's very tasty. But you really can't go wrong with anything here. Especially during their happy hour. These pizzas are massive and you can tell they are made of high-quality ingredients. You won't feel bad after eating it either because they aren't overloaded with anything, it's perfectly balanced and a good value for what you pay. I am totally a lover of any and all kinds of pizza. So, I'm always looking for new places to grab a good pizza. I recently found really great pizza place. While they have locations in three different neighborhoods in Chicago, I tried the Bob's pizza in Old Town/Lincoln Park. First, the staff was friendly and picking up my pizza was super easy. It was hot a ready for me when I arrived. The pick up was seamless and easy. Second, the food was very delicious and unique. This is not a cookie cutter national chain with boring pizza. Sure they have pepperoni and sausage pizzas, but they also some interesting options (including a pickle pizza). I got the spinach pesto and stracciatella pizza and the oatmeal cream pie. The pizza was amazing. The crust was soft and the prosciutto, sun dried tomatoes and baby arugula all worked so well together. The oatmeal cream pie was soft and perfect for dessert. Their menu is very organized, highlighted with such delicious food's that would definitely satisfy your cravings.
