Cool little donut shop me and my homies found roaming the City while killing time for our concert. I was surprised they had a bunch of donuts especially at the time we went in the evening. You'd kind expect a donut shop to run out or be low in stock, but not this place. My homie ordered a classic glazed donut and I got a cinnamon crumble sugar cronut and they both tasted amazing, no complaints whatsoever on my end.

Apple Fritter recently underwent shrinkflation
Erica W.

Let me preface that their staff are friendly and helpful! It's the donuts that aren't up to expectations. Disappointed the find that they have shrinkflated their Apple Fritter. It was about 2/3 the thickness and circumference that it has been for the past two years (at this location). Overall, I like their traditional cider donuts and ones that have less sugar. The rest of their donuts are just too sweet for me, and a bit too dense. Bob's Donut does not compare to Stan's Donut in Santa Clara, in size or loft. The other thing that I notice about their donuts is that they often have a weird aftertaste- wondering if they don't change the oil in the fryers... I don't recommend their Vegan apple fritter doesn't taste right... and tends to be undercooked. Their staff is excellent because of it is undercooked, you can just show it to them and they'll swap it. They are the only sweet shop in the area, so they don't have competition.

Picked up a breakfast donut, apple fritter and donut holes. Unfortunately, the donuts didn't taste fresh, despite picking them up in the morning. Maybe the oil needed to be changed or something but the donut holes had a strong used oil taste. I chose the jalapeno cream cheese donut which wasn't great but wasn't horrible either. Tasted exactly how it looked. Again, didn't taste fresh as if it's been sitting out for some time. A few people enjoying their donuts inside.

Bob's is a S.F. institution as far as donuts are concerned. They're known for being open 24 hours a day and their huge donuts. This location is across the street the street from the o.g. location. This one is bright and cleaner than original. I especially love the jelly donut because they don't skimp on that jelly inside. Street parking is tough.

I saw parking while driving past so opted to sate my craving for a Custard Filled Chocolate Long John. Even on a quiet Thursday morning the shop had a steady stream of customers. Efficient Staff, and trays of freshly made donuts.

Wow. On our e-bikes this Tuesday morning I suggested to hubby we make our way to Bob's. Being donuts fans he was very agreeable. We popped in around 10:00am. We looked at all the yummy donuts and bought: * chocolate old fashioned * blueberry- one crumble& one cake. There's a few chairs alongside the small footprint. We kinda sat & stood inside as we had to keep an eye on our bikes. Our first bite - WOW! Still warm and so moist. We talked about our donuts a good 1/2 hour as we continued on our bikes What a great morning treat.

Lesser known than the one on Polk, this Bob's Donuts on Baker/Fulton had no lines when I got there for a sinful treat. Their apple fritter is huge and out-of-this-world deeelicious - I walked many blocks and devoured the whole thing!

While I love the variety of flavors and options of donuts, I've never been blown away by them. They're decent overall, but I would love if they were a little bit sweeter. There's a small amount of seating near the window, but more of a take away spot. You get your donuts pretty quickly after your order.

Got the apple fritter, tiramisu, half dozen donut holes and a Hawaiian guava!

Dropped by on the 4th of July and was thankful they were open! While looking through the options, people came in and out -- lots of runners stopping for a sweet treat, surprisingly. The donuts in the glass display are mostly those with filling. All trad donuts are in the back, so they're there and available, just not displayed. Obvious, but thought I'd mention it. Donut holes (half $2, dozen $4) Cash and card both accepted. Cashier was a little rude and short responsed/had attitude. It's ok! Got the apple fritter, tiramisu, half dozen donut holes and a Hawaiian guava!

Great corner spot for easy access to donuts. Great variety, and nice staff members explaining the flavors. The display case was cute and organized neatly with name tents. Came here after an ebike tour and ordered thir famous Apple Fritter donut. Great flavor! Lovely day. Famous Apple Fritter donut - massive!!

This is my absolute favorite spot for a late night treat! It's perfectly located after a night out at the bars and offers a great atmosphere to wind down with something sweet. The vibe is fantastic, and there's ample seating. My friends and I ordered our donuts and comfortably stayed for an hour just chatting and slowly enjoying them. The donuts themselves are truly excellent, light and airy. I absolutely love this spot!

Came for a donut! They have so many options. This is my third time here. I went on a weekday and there was almost no wait. It gets busy on weekends. This is one of my favorite donut shops in the City! Very fluffy and priced well. Staff is nice. They take credit card.

This place used to be my favorite donut place in the whole Bay Area. Not anymore. My go to WAS the raspberry glaze filled donut because they used quality raspberry filling. It used to be bursting with raspberry goodness, now they choose to rip the customer off with a dab of raspberry filling that doesn't even fill 1/3 of the donut. The cashier then gave me an attitude when I asked her about the filling. She begrudgingly gave me a new one which I opened up immediately. It looked exactly the same as my first one, just a smidge of filling. She then refused me a refund. Hard pass for a $3.50 donut.

Upon leaving that other place I again smelled the baked goods so I decided to stop by. It was a bit of a line walking in and continued to grow while being there but I could see a huge variety of pastries behind the glass. I was impressed by the variety they had and decided to try a few different ones I wouldn't normally try. I picked up a cinnamon crunch donut and few different custard filled ones. For someone who isn't normally a fan of donuts let alone any filled ones, they were by far some of best donuts I have ever had. I went later in the day and was very impressed by the quality. We had an old fashioned, a lemon filled, and a chocolate covered custard...and..eh... I dunno... Maybe it was too late or maybe I wasn't drunk enough, but i thought the doughnuts were a bit dry and didnt taste any better than any other doughnut shop I had been to. Am I being a party pooper? Maybe...but it just didnt taste anything special. Not a horrible doughnut, just not what I was expecting from an "institution" in the neighborhood.

The service was good, and I went at night when there wasn't a long line. There are a couple of tables outside to sit. However, it does feel a bit pricey and I hear the line is super long at times. And the matcha ice cream barely tasted like matcha. There isn't much decor to speak of, it's a store front only and no interior. And the sign for "reasons we don't give samples" is funny but feels excessive. I still thoroughly enjoyed it though and will likely come again.

Randy loved his and raved about the amount of bacon lol. They are not shy with it. My sandwich was also delicious but the omelette was HUGE and I only ended up eating about 1/3 of it. The veggies really made it. We weren't able to actually taste the pesto of the bagel when eating the sandwich but because I didn't eat all mine, we were able to try just the bagel with a bit of cream cheese and it was so flavorful. And we got a chocolate cream donut to share. The chocolate on it is a darker chocolate and the cream inside was so good. An excellent donut. The customer service here is stellar. Super helpful and patient employees and just a chill vibe with great music make this a must stop when in the area.

I walked by thinking, "I'm just going to look." That's adorable. About 90 seconds later I was standing there holding a bag of hot mini donuts wondering why I'd ever believed I had self-control. Watching them make the donuts is half the fun. Tiny rings of dough disappear into the fryer and come out warm, golden, and immediately get tossed around in cinnamon sugar like they're auditioning for a dessert commercial. The smell should honestly be classified as psychological warfare. The donuts are served fresh and piping hot, which means your first bite is either pure bliss... or a reminder that patience is a virtue you apparently don't possess. The only reason this isn't five stars is because, well... they're mini donuts. Delicious? Absolutely. Life-changing? Maybe not. But they are exactly what you want while wandering Fisherman's Wharf.
