Love these donuts! I was never a donut person but Magical Donuts changed it. They get creative everyday. My favorite is the oreo overload and the maple one. So reasonably priced for the quality. So joyful and positive energy every time i visit as well, sweetest people. This is my go-to spot for our team meeting sweets.

A heavenly haul.

For the tl;dr crowd: GO DIRECTLY TO MAGICAL DONUTS. DO NOT CONFUSE IT WITH MAGIC DONUTS & COFFEE. DO NOT PASS GO. DO NOT COLLECT $200. SPEND $200 ON DONUTS AND BE HAPPY INSTEAD. For anybody who likes reading about transcendent donut experiences and is putting off more productive pursuits: Some say I have a donut problem; I say I got 99 problems but donuts ain't one. In the past year or so I've scarfed down doughy delectables from at least these spots (sugar-induced blackouts may have caused me to forget a few) in San Francisco: All Stars (Clement) Bob's (old & new spots on Polk) Bob's on Baker Donuts & Things Donut World Dynamo George's Donuts & Merriment Hahdough Happy Donuts (24th/Church) The Jelly Donut Johnny Doughnuts Le Bonta Italiane Magic Donuts & Coffee The Mochi Donut Shop (Clement) Mochill Mochidonut (Japantown) My Happy Donut Ocean Malasada Trish's Mini Donuts Twisted Donuts & Coffee Vio Handcrafted Pastries (Outer Sunset Farmer's Market) Heck, I've recently found reliable options at Safeway and Lucky in a pinch. Yet, despite all of my donut adventures, I somehow didn't make it to Magical Donuts in Mission Bay's Parklab Gardens (across the street from SPARK Social) until late February 2026. As it turns out, I saved the best for last. Like, I love Magical Donuts so much that I'd seriously consider joining the gatekeeping dark side if Tomoko and Simon (more on them below) weren't so worthy of our support and if I didn't want you, fellow sweet toothian, to experience donut bliss. SERVICE When I walked up around 8 a.m. on a fateful, cool Saturday morning I was warmly greeted by Simon and Tomoko, who cheerfully offered recommendations, answered questions, and shared little nuggets about the various styles on offer. If they didn't have better things to do, I could have chatted with them all morning. THE GOODS As you can see from the photo, I sampled a range of styles. I was floored by each and will have them all again, but given how confident I am in the skill and care put into everything made here I'll probably try an entirely different selection next time. Other big takeaways: Just the right amount of sweetness and chew. And you can actually taste different flavors. Too often at other spots the glazes look different but taste nearly the same and every dang donut has the same over fried texture. Everything: dough, glazes, fillings, and cream cheese frosting all tasted fresh and clean enough for Stankonia-era OutKast. Not a drop of grease to be found, and yet not a single donut was remotely dry. None of these donuts, not even the fritter, felt "heavy" in the way that they can and often do. Each had just the right heft to reflect its style. These donuts are just the right size. I'd seen the "one-bite happiness" tagline prior to my visit and slightly worried that I was buying a ticket to a "Honey, I Shrunk the Donuts" Dynamo-like experience. Nope. And also not Johnny Doughnuts-like slabs that I sometimes tire of before I can finish. The chocolate frosted and sugar shell donuts are filled to order. On the day of my visit custard, lemon, and raspberry fillings were available (and yes, I tried all three). The variety is amazing, and includes gluten-free and vegan options for those who partake. PARKING & TRANSIT I've heard enough horror stories about Mission Bay parking that I don't dare drive there, so I can't speak to how easy it is to find a spot. I can say that these donuts are so good that I just might risk a ticket in the future. I can happily report that the 22 drops off and picks up feet from the Magical truck, and that the T and other bus lines stop nearby as well. And hey, given how many of these donuts will be calling your name maybe getting a few steps in before and/or after isn't a bad idea either. I'll be honest -- I'm not usually a donut person. I don't crave them, I don't go out of my way for them... but Magical Donuts at Spark Social? That's a whole different story. They truly live up to their name -- every bite feels like a little bit of magic. Their menu has so much variety, and I love that they always feature seasonal flavors (the mixed berry one was chef's kiss). Pair it with their coffee and it's the perfect pick-me-up combo! The staff is super friendly with great recommendations and service is quick as well. It's a cute little shop and it's on the side [in my opinion] that isn't as crowded and i love that, I don't feel rushed to make a selection haha. It's been a while since my last visit, but writing this review just reminded me that I need to go back -- ASAP. Parking can be a little tricky depending on the time of day, but honestly, just Waymo or rideshare and treat yourself stress-free. You'll thank me later.

Chocolate crumb rise
Priyanka N.

I'd give this spot 4.5/5! Magical donuts is a pretty solid spot! We got their chocolate crumb rise and their cinnamon crumb cake. Personally we enjoyed the cake donut version more than the rise donut. It's the baking soda that brings a more dense, chewy, SOFT consistency. The rise donut was great in flavor but more donut consistency - airy from the yeast. I'd give the cake donut 5/5 and the rise donut 4/5. Definitely want to come back to try out the different flavors in the cake version. Price - we paid ~$3 for each donut. It wasn't too bad given they are quite filling and DEEEEEELICIOUS. Staff - no staff per se but the owner was taking her time to explain the difference between cake vs rise donuts, what was popular, what was limited version, and new flavors. Super friendly and welcoming!! Ambiance - cute food truck that had a lot of character. The location of where the food truck is an interactive space that allows for other food purchasing variety where you can lounge and play games. Great SF vibes for enjoying the outdoors.

classic donut with chocolate glaze and sprinkles

If you are looking for a quick cheap sweet treat and a nice outdoor seating, Magical Donuts at Spark Social is your place. They have sourdough donuts too, though I was just looking for a krispy cream dupe to satisfy my cravings. Tasty (normal sized!) donuts for $3 after tax? I have no complaints. The lady working there while I visited was also very sweet.

Maple Bacon
Mono L.

Very good maple bacon! The bacon was not dry and crusty like other places. Owners are very friendly and happy to see you! Very bright and happy truck, you can't miss it! I definitely recommend. I will definitely come back for more.

sourdough donuts is an amazing idea, and the lady doing it is so sweet. easily one of the best donuts in SF.

Cinnamon roll
Jessica S.

When I tell you these things are magical what an understatement. The owners are Amazing friendly and compassionate. Willing to help they have such a variety of donuts. The cinnamon roll was mouth dropping. We can't wait to visit again and pick up a half dozen of cinnamon rolls on our next visit out. There was plenty of seating and such a calm atmosphere. Thank you again

A magical variety pack.
Binh P.

This is the most amazing donut truck ever. Their branding is so eye catching and they're true to their word. The donuts are simply magical. The lady working there is also incredibly friendly. I got a variety of donuts that included a cinnamon twist, sugar raised, chocolate and strawberry sprinkles, sourdough, and glazed bacon bar. The owner also threw in a few donut holes as well, so generous! These are possibly the best donuts I've had. They're perfectly fluffy, not oily, and not insanely sweet. All around perfection. Cinnamon twist, bacon bar, and sugar raised donuts are my absolute favorites here. The sourdough was interesting, but I don't think I was a fan of the sour aftertaste paired with sweet. Donuts are also reasonably priced at around $2 per. I can't recommend this place enough.

Custom Letter Doughnuts for a baby shower

Got custom doughnuts from them and they were so easy to order. The doughnuts turned out beautifully and our guests raved about how great they tasted.

Raised chocolate sprinkles and Raised glazed
Ny H.

Went on a Sunday mid morning, no line! Tried the Raised Glazed, Raised Chocolate Sprinkle's, Donut holes, and. Gluten Free Sprinkles. Overall, they were all fresh and very good. I have a fav donut place but it's across the city but Magic Donuts delivers very good tasty donuts for a fraction of the city prices and it's one block from my home! Can't beat that! I love supporting local businesses, so please support this one as it would be disappointing to lose the ONLY donut shop (great $$) in the Mission Bay neighborhood!

Loaded up to take them home. (let's see if they make it that far)
Cynthia S.

OMG! Yum! Every donut we have tried here has been excellent - but my favorite? The blueberry gluten-free donuts! I can't wait to taste what they have tomorrow. There is almost always a joyful surprise. - Magical!

They were able to accommodate a large order on short notice, which was greatly appreciated! Delicious donuts, excellent customer service, and friendly staff!

Found the all-gender bathrooms. My wife and I ended up sharing a stall. Incredible teamwork. Our wedding vows did not adequately prepare me for this level of operational support .Didn't know this at the time but I took a double take when a little girl was using the urinal. I have no idea how that works but I was surprised af. I felt violated. Once the bathroom mission was complete, we looked around and realized we'd accidentally found somewhere worth staying. Usually when I follow a bodily emergency, it doesn't lead to a charming afternoon. Tons of food trucks, a huge variety of food, plenty of seating, and shaded areas you can reserve for groups. Everyone we met was extremely nice and welcoming. Also dogs everywhere. I arrived desperate for plumbing and suddenly I'm shaking hands with a golden retriever like we're closing on a house. Would absolutely recommend for a big group or a casual date with your partner. We came to use the bathroom and stayed because this place has an actual business model beyond my personal crisis.

It's gotta be worth it. I waited in line for probably 20 minutes. While I was in line, I was watching the staff, prepare their most popular item which was the porchetta sandwich. I was getting hungrier watching them make each sandwich. Luckily once I ordered and paid, they immediately hand you one that's already made so you don't have to wait. I normally don't buy lunch when I'm in the office. I usually do meal preps, but now, I check their calendar to see if they're going to be at the Ferry Building so I can pick up a sandwich for lunch. That's how much I like them. And even pitching the idea of getting catering from them for our next work gathering. They need some kind of dipping sauce or something for it. Seasoning was not evenly spread out so some parts were saltier on the skin. Lots of herbs like thyme and rosemary. Just too bad the meat didn't stay juicy. 3.5/5 ROTISSERIE PORCHETTA SANDWICH ~ skin was crispy and burnt, so it was bitter yet crunchy. Pork was tender, but I didn't taste much of the jam. I did not like the bitter burnt skin. I personally thought it threw the flavor off. If it wasn't bitter, it would have scored higher. I always enjoy bread toasted when having a sandwich. Sadly, they don't toast it. My friend loves this sandwich and told me the skin wasn't supposed to be crunchy and burnt! So I'm assuming this wasn't typical. 3/5 The 4 of us shared the whole chicken and split the porchetta sandwich. But hearing that the sandwich wasn't made correctly this time around, I'm compelled to give it another try in the future.

We arrived on a weekend afternoon. I didn't realize this spot was from LA and how popular it was! The taco truck is bright orange and easy to find. Lines can get long, but they go by relatively fast. Service wasn't the friendliest, interaction-wise, but the good came out in a reasonable time, considering the line and it being made to order. There are a couple of standing tables, which we ate at with our dogs. Most folks took their food to go. So I didn't realize they were known for their Al Pastor, which I ended up getting. I got one Al Pastor and one Carnitas Taco. The meat is marinated and off a spit. It had a nice flavor, and I'd get both again. When you receive your tacos, they ask if you want toppings and salsa. It's nice in the sense that you can build it to your liking. All the salsas are good; my friend and I enjoyed the avocado one the best. Along with tacos, they have other food and drink items. I got the delicious Horchata. The only thing is prices weren't actively posted, so keep that in mind. I'm not too familiar with the Mexican food truck scene in the city. For the price and what we wanted, Leo's Tacos was a good option. Find them off the Great Highway with residential parking and a lot as well.
