I made a visit to Bob's on a Wednesday afternoon for a bite to eat. They were pretty busy considering most booths seemed to be full, emptied and then filled again. Service was still exceptional! I had the pleasure of being taken care of by Michelle and she was an absolute delight and the perfect company while I anxiously awaited an update about my pup at the nearby vet. She was considerate and when time allowed, shared a minute or two of good conversation between helping other visitors. I suppose I should also highlight the food... I chose the Cobb salad - enough to split with someone in my opinion but it was delicious and had no shortage of the toppings. It even came with the best toast around!!! Michelle did highly recommend several shakes but unfortunately since my next stop wasn't somewhere I could bring it with, I'll have to try them another time. read more

I'm giving this place 2 stars because well the waitress was pretty cool. And it's been a while since we've been able to go out and eat. We waited to be seated because booth needed to be cleaned, we get to the booth and the tables clearly were no cleaned (you can see the water/soda marks from before) the seats were full of sand or something of the sort. The plates and silverware were left at the table and I opened mine up because well I like to be ready for food. Tell me why they were dirty cheese or something on them like they weren't cleaned right! Disgusting af. We had already ordered a lot! So I just asked for new silverware. This was our first time as a whole group to eat at this place and not one of us was happy with the food. The dogs were super happy with their meal though. The mozzarella sticks well some of them did not have cheese inside, like at all idk what happened there but that was upsetting. Will not return nor would I recommend. read more

Bob's Big Boy has a special place with my family and the childhood memories of ordering their burgers. Back then, they were everywhere, the closest one was off El Toro Road in Lake Forest. Fast forward 30 years later and now there are only 5 BBB restaurants in the state of California left. While other states may have them scattered about. After driving to a doctors appt and having a rough day, we drove past this one and spotted it from the freeway. My mom was excited to see it and and we detoured off towards the nostalgia of decades past. Iris the hostess and Laverne our waitress did not disappoint! Their beautiful positive attitudes and attentiveness made the experience even more special for my mom and myself. After sharing a special memory regarding BBB, Laverne made it a point to go above and beyond even through the restaurant was pretty busy and you could tell they were short staffed: we appreciated everything the staff at BBB did today. Thank you. So what did my mom and I order? We were going retro and true to childhood memories: The Big boy classic burger, salad and French fries. All came together. The sticker price back in the day would have been roughly $4.00 ( in the 90s) for the meal, with todays inflation $14.95. The classic sundae back in the day would have been $2.95 in the 90s today it was $7.95. My mom was laughing at how much it was back in her days as a teen in the 50s and 60s we are talking about cents! We didn't care , the chance to eat one more burger and share a meal together and reminisce about childhood times was worth every penny. The burger tasted similar to what I remember except I could only compare it to a Big Mac , especially the sauce. The sundae was similar in taste like I remembered but the chocolate cake's texture was a bit different today than what I remembered. All in all today was a beautiful day with mom and I have BBB to thank for it. I will definitely come back if I'm the Norco area, but may visit the Norwalk /Downy location off Firestone which is closer than the other locations. Would recommend!! Thank you again. Food was good and our waiter was great but the lady up front was rude as all hell. We go up to pay and I go how you doing tonight? Before I could get the entire sentence out she says "cash or card?" I wish I had taken a picture of the Southern grilled chicken salad because it was sad. At least put the fancy package of salad mix and not just chopped up iceberg lettuce. This was our first time coming and we loved it! My son and I ordered the build your own burger and it was amazing! I ended up ordering one togo to take it to my husband at work for lunch. The burgers were great and huge. My only regret is that we didn't have room for the delicious looking deserts they have. Our server was a very sweet woman that was on point. My grandchildren (9 yrs & 6 yrs) were given money from their parents to take me (grandmother) to lunch. I thought perfect, I can use the coupon I received for my free brownie/ice cream dessert. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that we were no longer in the year 2023 and needed to print out the coupon (such an archaic method in these digital times). Apparently, the Norco location is under "new management/ownership" and will only honor a paper copy of the offer. Went on a Wednesday. Pretty empty. They sat us at the smallest booth with 3 adults, 2 kids and an infant in a car seat. We literally had to eat with the car seat on the table. It was the second time we moved tables due to their "table options". Food was good but 2 cheese burger meals, 1 turkey sandwich meal and 2 kids grilled cheese meals came to $97. Ridiculous. Food was good. Service was good but we won't be back. We can go somewhere else and order the same food with a beer and have it be the same amount. read more

First, let me point out that I have made three separate visits to this location prior to writing the review (and would love to hop in my Jeep right now and drive down to conduct some further "research"). :D The Big Boy double decker was probably my favorite burger growing up, but then the chain seemed to slowly disappear from So Cal. When restaurants reappeared along the Mohave stretch of I-15 in Barstow (formerly the Harvey House restaurant location) and Baker (formerly the Bun Boy), I had great hopes that a resurgence was on the way, but to put it bluntly - they both sucked! I was not surprised at either's eventual closing. This summer, my wife and I were made aware of and decided to try the Bob's Big Boy location in Norco, and am I glad we did. Now THIS is an example of the way a Big Boy used to be! The menu was full of old faves (even their chili spaghetti) - but, of course, I had to go for the Big Boy Combo. Keeping in mind the rather puny burgers served at my most recent visits to the now-closed Mohave locations, I figured the Super Combo was my best bet. No need for this, folks, the regular sized combo is plenty big - with a burger worthy of its namesake, a generous helping of crispy french fries, and a full-sized salad served before the main dish (I recall a much smaller salad served alongside the combo back in the old days). Oh Boy! (Big Boy?) This location is the real deal! I was pretty stuffed by the end of it all and confess that all three in our party left some fries, but I couldn't push away from my table without a taste of Bob's signature hot fudge cake. My wife and I split this dessert, and it was sooooo delicious - moist cake sandwiching a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream, and all covered in real hot fudge. This alone was worth the drive! We've been back a couple of times since (about once a week). It's not very close to us, but not too far away to ignore. Our waitresses have always been both pleasant and accommodating with any requests, and the three combos I've had have each been equally well-prepared and tasty. We've started splitting the fries from only one combo to ensure extra dessert space. I gave the banana split a shot once, but now am back to the hot fudge cake (yes, my very own) on our most recent visit. Maybe one day I'll be able to review on more than just Bob's double deckers and desserts - but, for now, that's my go-to choice. Seeing some of the orders brought to other tables, I'm sure they are also great, however. read more

I went here today to have some dinner and when I arrived I noticed 4 closing ladies were taking a picture inside next to the entrance door. My partner and I politely waited for them to finish their thing. The host was a short Hispanic around 18 year old girl that had a straight face and didn't greet us, she just said "for two?". She made it seem like we were disturbing her. But you guys really redeemed yourselves after . We were led to our table by the rude host and soon after a very nice older lady asked us if we found everything alright and if we were ready to order. I summed up the situation to her and I told her it was my birthday. She came back soon after to inform us that she waivered my Iced Tea and my mini ice cream sundae. It's the little things like that go a long way . She understands what customer service is all about! I gave the older lady a $10 tip and the rude younger host didn't get a CENT OUTTA ME. Her loss lol. Been wanting to try this restaurant with my family. When we walked in it was nice inside but once we sat down and looked at the food we thought it looked great. Once we ordered the server was nice and brought us our drinks and our food later. My wife likes fish and chips but these ones she could not eat they were very hard and so was the fries. My kids ordered from the kids menu and they wouldn't finish there food. My oldest ordered a patty melt and the bread was so hard he hurt his tooth. The only thing that was good was the chicken Parmesan even the chili fries was bad and lacked flavor. We only came here since it was Christmas Day and not a lot of places were opened.
