We hadn't been to a Bob's Big Boy in many years. Today we went with family and had a wonderful experience. We all had the "Famous Chili Size". It is a garlic bread, topped with a hamburger patty and covered with chili and cheese. It comes with another side of garlic toast which was very good. Then, you also get another side choice. The choices range from salads, french fries and a few other choices. I was pleasantly surprised that it was pretty tasty. Everything was hot and came out pretty quickly. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. All staff we encountered were friendly. The main reason for the 5 stars was the service. Our server, Dakota was excellent. Nostalgic settings at Nob's Big Boy. They have a large dining room with large booths and a few tables available in the front. I was promptly greeted by Michelle who seem to be running a one man show as the hostess, server and cashier with a genuinely cheerful smile. I can't give an unbiased review. I've loved Bob's Big Boy for 50 years and nothing has made me lose that obsession. Brought my Mom here (after 10 years) to visit the Norco location. It's the typical Bob's site with several Bob's statues and diner vibe inside. Luckily we had Michelle as our server who was a hilarious delight. Had the classic Bob's Big Boy Combo with salad. Salad with bleu cheese obviously. Salad was crispy fresh, with an abundance of cheese, croutons, tomatoes and chunks of cucumbers. It was a tad overdressed but their bleu cheese dressing is worth it. The burger came out fresh, hot and oozing with the best relish I've ever had. The bun was soft, burger patties were cooked to perfection, cheese was slightly melted, lettuce was abundant. Every bite is what I want my heaven to be. The fries were golden brown with deep fried outsides and soft middles, just like a good fry should be. Best part was dipping them in more decadent bleu cheese dressing!!!! As a surprise, we got a birthday hot fudge cake for my mom's birthday. This was soft and spongy, slathered in deep, rich hot fudge. The vanilla scoop wasn't the square pre-formed ice cream I remember, but was a nice complement and balanced the richness of the fudge. When we first sat down we got to order pretty quickly, everyone there was quick and very kind! The first thing that came out was the Mozzarella Sticks and I can't lie these didn't quite taste as good as I thought, I never had bad mozzarella sticks but this one lacked a lot of cheese within the actually stick. So most of it was breading. The second thing I ordered was the Big Irish burger and that has got to be the r best burger ever, Im never really a big fan of restaurant burgers or even diner burgers but this one has changed my opinion further more, the perfect saucing, with the bun as well as the grilled patty was incredible! Went down nostalgic lane when visiting Bob's Big Boy in North Corona aka Norco. Location is right off the freeway in a strip center tha thas plenty of parking . Food was delicious, just look at my pictures. I don't think I finished everything, but everything was sooooo good. Been a long time since I had chili spaghetti but I was not disappointed. The Big Boy was great and their special sauce does the trick, nirvana. The service was friendly, quick and supplied a good laugh to bond our relationship. As some of you know, I'm a huge fan of Cincinnati Chili, especially from Skyline Chili. I think it's the best regional dish in the country. Everything about is so damn delicious and quirky and comforting. But before I had chance to taste the real thing, I had a sneak preview eating Bob's Chili Spaghetti. While it lacks the more insidious nuances of the original, I think it more than makes up for it chutzpah. This chili is a thick boy and, like the originators, there is a ton of cheese in this beast. And I kind of love that. The Norco location did a great job bringing back my feelings of admiration for the dish as well as a sincere longing to get back to Skyline. The service was amazing and, while smaller than the Big Boys I grew up with, still has the Bob's quality of wholesomeness and retro vibes to it. Thousand Island dressing. Not because it was fancy. Because ranch hadn't hit its golden age yet, and my child self was out here making executive culinary decisions with confidence. Is the burger the best I've ever had? No. Is it delicious? Absolutely. Every bite tastes like my childhood--before taxes, deadlines, and my oat milk lattes. I get an extra side of that weirdly addictive relish they slap on the burger. When I take that first bite, I don't say "yum," I say, "Hello, old friend." Long live the Big Boy. And his combo. My friend from high school came to visit from Oregon. She had fond memories of Bob's Big Boy. My memories were of the ads on TV. Nonetheless, I'm down for trying this legendary diner! The place is on the outside looks modern but then the statues of Bob's remind you it isn't. The place is very spacious. They weren't very busy on a Friday night. We were seated in a booth. Iris who sat us was wonderful. She is also the cashier. Great customer service! Andrew, our server was also great. He took his time taking our and because they weren't busy, he checked on us often. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake milkshake as my drink. Iris brought it out and said that they actually put real cheesecake in it. It was thick. I definitely tasted the strawberry but am not sure where the cheesecake was in the shake. I ordered the build your own burger with veggie patty, mozzarella, lettuce, pickles, garlic mayo, steak sauce, and upgraded to sautéed mushrooms. I also subbed Onion rings for fries. Our food came very quickly. My burger was large. I really liked the sautéed mushrooms. The onion rings were also very good. They were well breaded and crispy. I was so full by the end of the meal. I had my dessert already so didn't get anymore. They look to have many choices of cookies on display. I will have to try it next time. They also had Bobs big boy merchandise for sale. I learned that there is a location in Norco and set out on a short road trip with my own family to have lunch. The parking lot may look super busy, but there is a Dutch Bros in the same lot and they seem really popular. It was busy in the restaurant, but we were seated right away. All of the employees were cheerful and made you feel welcome. One of my kiddos actually ate a Super Big Boy combo and one had the build your own burger, I had a Big Boy combo with salad & bleu cheese dressing, and my husband had the roast beef club sandwich. For an up charge, my husband and I ordered chili cheese fries with our meals. My salad was crisp and the Big Boy bleu cheese dressing never disappoints. All of us loved our lunches. I offered to buy a banana split for my kiddos to share and expected them to decline because there was so much food, but the appeal of a banana split won out and they were so happy excited to have one. At the register they sell Big Boy T-shirts, magnets, keychains, and their special blend of seasoned salt. I was very tempted to buy a T-shirt. Maybe next time. Our family was visiting California from Texas and really looking forward to Bob's Big Boy for dinner. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst takeout experiences we've ever had. We placed an online order for takeout totaling over $100. When my nephew went to pick it up, the restaurant said they did not have the order in their system--despite the fact that their POS system had already charged our card. He was told he had to re-order the entire meal, wait while they remade everything, and was charged a second time for another $100+. We were told the original charge might be refunded tomorrow. After waiting over an hour total, he finally brought the food home, only for us to discover that one of the meals was incorrect. My niece ordered chili spaghetti and received only chili with no spaghetti noodles at all. By the time we realized this, the restaurant was already closed, so there was no way to call and have the issue corrected. To make matters worse, we are driving back to Texas tomorrow night, so following up in person isn't an option. Between being double-charged, the excessive wait, incorrect food, and no ability to resolve the issue the same day, this experience was unbelievably disappointing. This was not the quality or service we expected, especially for a family dinner while traveling. read more

I ordered the classic Big Boy with the Fries, and they are delicious and taste way better than diner food, which is mind blowing. The Big Boy looks like a Big Mac from McDonald's, but tastes 100x better than McDonald's which is a great place to go to and the Burgers are seasoned perfectly, with just the right amount of Salt & Pepper, and that's what I like on a good Burger. Their Fries are absolutely delicious with the Big Boy Seasoning, and they taste so fresh and have a ton of flavor, and you can also get the Big Boy Seasoning for home so that's a honor.
