Bobs Big Boy is a classic place to get food if you like great food and great smiles. I ordered the classic Big Boy with the Fries, and they are delicious and taste way better than diner food, which is mind blowing. The Big Boy looks like a Big Mac from McDonald's, but tastes 100x better than McDonald's which is a great place to go to and the Burgers are seasoned perfectly, with just the right amount of Salt & Pepper, and that's what I like on a good Burger. Their Fries are absolutely delicious with the Big Boy Seasoning, and they taste so fresh and have a ton of flavor, and you can also get the Big Boy Seasoning for home so that's a honor. I grew up with Bob's Big Boy. I had many good meals and experiences there. There are so few left in Southern California that it is worth seeking them out. Many of the classic menu items are still there. Look for the menu notations. I had the Chili Spaghetti and a Hot Fudge Ice Cream Cake. This was a meal combination I had a lot of way back in the early 1980s when I was still in college. Bob's had a special for one month only for a mere $2.98. Anyways, it is substantially more now in price but it is still delicious. I noticed that the portion size is bigger now, too. The Hot Fudge Ice Cream Cake was rich and delicious. The ice cream definitely helped balance out the sweetness of the chocolate cake. The hot fudge sauce was thick and slightly chewy. This was a delicious dessert and you should leave room so that it can be enjoyed. The restaurant also has a small merchandise store. There are t-shirts for sale as well as memorabilia. They also have the Bob's Big Boy salad dressings for sale as well as their famous red relish. The red relish is delicious on a grilled beef patty. This restaurant has many of the Bob's Big Boy statues from former locations as well as one with a cowboy hat to commemorate Norco. Be sure to have a picture taken next to one. read more

We.come all the way from Whittier to this location. Every time we come here we have had a great experience. The staff have always been so wonderful and so polite to us. The food has always been so delicious. We usually will order a burger with fries. We have gotten their shakes and they come with the glass of shake with the metal cup it was blended in with the extra. Trust me the shake can be shared with 2 people. First let me say I have a handful of places that use ingredients and/or oils that don't upset my stomach and leave me in the bathroom. With that said, I will have to go back again and try something else off the menu to see if it happens again, because I really wanted to give it 4 stars. Our server was Laverne and she was great! Several Decades ago, Bob's Big Boy restaurants were fantastic! But, now, with only few of these iconic restaurants surviving, They aren't so good these days. The one in Norco, CA is a sad remaining example of a once great Hamburger chain. I've visited this Norco location several times, over the past few years, ordering their Super Big Boy Cheeseburger and their Turkey Club Sandwich, each time. I was So disappointed after each visit, with both of these menu items. Their Super Big Boy Cheeseburger has become Sooo... small now! This Cheeseburger used to be much larger and fill me up. But not now. Their Turkey Club sandwich used to be so filling and bacon generous. But, not now. This sandwich is now so small. And, it seems to use small "store bought" bread for its Turkey Club sandwich. Similar "Turkey Club Sandwiches", in the area, are slightly less expensive, and made with much larger "fresh baked bread slices" and they use "crispy" bacon. This Norco, CA Bob's Big Boy restaurant uses very "Fatty" rubbery bacon, which is very undercooked, IMHO. While I love the local nostalgia, of a Bob's Big Boy restaurant kinda "surviving" in Norco, CA., I can't recommend their current food menu. The double burger with it 3 part bun & the signature Red Relish. Still taste the same . The salad with Bobs famous blue cheese dressing and crispy fries or onion rings. It's Bob's Big Boy, what more can I say. I love their little restaurant here in Norco. I believe we are one of the few Big Boys wearing a cowboy hat. Yippee Ki-Yay!! The ambiance is about as good as it gets for Big Boy. They have done a lot to give it a homey country atmosphere. I had the Fish and Chips, which was great. My husband had the burger which he said was good. The up charge for onion rings was a bit much, but they do have endless Arnold Palmer which I love. Good food and good service and my kind of nostalgic atmosphere. We don't have any actual "Big Boy" franchises where I live. Eat N Park used to be Big Boy a long time ago. Eat N Park now calls their sandwich a Superburger and I was expecting my Big Boy to be pretty much the same as a Superburger. The sauce is not the same. The Big Boy sauce is more tomato ish, almost like salsa. It may be sacrilegious to say this but, I actually prefer the Eat N Park version. read more

It must have been 15 years since I had a Bobs Big Boy burger. These restaurants used to be everywhere in Southern California, maybe 30-35 years ago. Now there are two or three. I was very hungry when I saw the sign and pretty much decided I had to have a burger and a cold salad with that famous blue cheese dressing I remembered. I got a little nervous when I saw that only a few diners were seated at 6pm on a weeknight. But I went anyway. Pros: They put cucumber, carrot, and cheese on the side salad which you can add to your combo for only a dollar! You have a choice of dressing but you really should get the bleu cheese here. It was as delicious as ever. The Big Boy Hamburger was decent and had the signature red relish that I used to remove as a kid but now I like it. Fries were fresh and perfectly seasoned. Service was good. Cons: The inside is pretty nasty. The furniture is ripped and there are hand-scribbled paper signs everywhere like "Menudo on sat sun 7.99". Bobs Big Boy of old would not tarnish their brand like this. The bigboy web site offered to add a shake to my order for $3 but my waitress said they don't honor that. They just don't, she said. There is dusty Big Boy merch everywhere like a garage sale. Seems like this location broke up with the franchisor. Just not a good atmosphere. The receipt also has a hidden fee on it which just irks me even though it's less than a dollar. read more

This is a really great place to eat! All of the servers are super nice and friendly. The Bob's Big Boy Burger is a blast in the past. There is nothing like the original double decker big boy burger. I almost always get the hot fudge cake which is an original staple for this restaurant. But this time I went for the banana split. It was very, very good. This restaurant in Norco has a very hometown feel to it. Even though the restaurant is a little bit away from where I normally eat, I am happy to drive the extra distance just for the food and nostalgia. Nostalgic moment! The best childhood memories happened at this restaurant, just a different location! The Classic Big Boy Combo was worth the $15. A fresh, full salad came with it. I was excited to discover this new Bob's location so close to home. Still has somewhat of a vintage feel inside but nothing like the original locations in Burbank or Downey have. I missed having the counter seating and car hop style service but as long as the menu is still the same. I ordered the Big Boy Combo and it was as delicious as I remember from back in the day. Cold and crisp garden salad with their signature bleu cheese dressing to start off, and followed by their signature double decker cheese burger. Tried to save room for their fudge brownie sundae to share with my son, but that wasn't happening today. The portions are generous and filling and a great go to spot for a family restaurant. We drove out of our way to visit this Bob's because we saw their statue had a cowboy hat. This location is updated, has excellent friendly down home service and the food is top notch! We enjoyed that they have 5 statues from various Bob's locations which have closed including the statue of Diamond Bar which is where we used to visit. Let's see what a refreshing opportunity to find a restaurant that is serving it's guest. Despite all the hype this restaurant is continuing to provide excellent service in a safe environment.
