    The register with No menu

Food is great. Big inconvenience to not be able to see the menu when you are standing in line , and having to wait to approach the register to see the menu. you have a family of 5 trying to order off the menu at the register.

Tried the #10 combo, everything tasted good, drive thru was efficient, service was great, but the pricing was a bit high. $15+ for a bacon cheeseburger combo. The outside sign has severely faded but the building looks great. Not sure if I'll be back, don't regret trying!

Super disappointed in the service. I visit this store often, even bring in my students. I get a veggie burrito with hashbrown no egg and no cheese. The girls always charge me the same as a breakfast burrito. Today a male takes the order and is charging me for a full breakfast. Crazy!!!! Told me I'm getting everything in an omelet...actually no...NO EGG AND NO CHEESE....duh and wow all at the same time!!!!

    It's in the name!!!!

Always a great place for a good hearty meal in a good amount of time. Everyone is always so helpful and with a smile. It's a bit noisy, but part of the burger spot experience! Always a great experience when we visit! Kids always give it 5 out of 5!

Went here a couple days ago with a group of friends! Wow, was I amazed! Service was excellent! The food was tremendously spectacular!!! My friends and I ended up sharing many excellent items for breakfast and lunch, so we definitely had brunch. Items that we had included...Chili Cheese fries with pastrami, chicken tenders with fries and toast, grilled chicken salad with pita bread and Greek dressing, chicken sandwich with bacon and avocado and onion rings, Blueberry pancakes, strawberry waffle, biscuits and gravy, bacon breakfast burrito, steak with eggs and hashbrowns & toast, and finally French toast with bacon and eggs. I also tried their Hazelnut and caramel iced coffees which were delicious! I must say that everything I tried was so very good and alot of flavor!!! My favorite breakfast item by far was definitely the Steak and eggs, but again, everything was great! We were also offered to get a Smash Burger which is currently a menu item being tested out. I saved the best for last as the Smash Burger was without a doubt my favorite lunch item of them all !!! It was so tasty and juicy. Had a lot of different flavors all packed into one great burger!!! I can't wait to come back here again! Get that Smash Burger on the menu quick!!! Please come and give them a try! I was not disappointed!!!

It's our first time here and it was a Togo order. We've been wanting to try this place and came to get a breakfast burrito to try since we haven't found a place we liked yet. The drive thru was easy to use and worker was nice. Location is at the corner of hamner & mountain ave. Intersection is a bit busy also and loud, but location was easy to find. It's not as busy as most places so it was easy to get in and out. The burrito was good but it would've been better if they chopped everything up to spread the ingredients across the burrito (especially the sausage) so when you take a bite, you can get everything. It's just thrown together with no rhyme or reason to it. It comes with 3 meats. Sausage, bacon and ham and eggs/hashbrowns. There's salsa on the side & the salsa was amazing and a good portion for every bite. I enjoyed the salsa that came with it and was happy there was enough for the whole burrito. We'll definitely go back to try other items. Definitely worth trying.

    Pastrami Sandwich

Haven't been here in a long time and the food was not great at all. The bread was crumbly and tastes stale on the pastrami. I am not sure how a burger spot can ruin a pastrami but they managed too. Don't eat here. Prices are high and the food doesn't match it. Didn't finish my food

Just moved to the area and was looking for a good diner. Saw a sign outside, something about a lunch box, so that drew us in. I got a double cheeseburger. I really want to like this place but there's no way the burger they gave me looked like the burgers on their website. Nothing gourmet about it. But you know what, since I didn't get a picture of it, I'm going to give them another chance. I will say this though, the employees were very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was clean and tidy.

This is a cute small mom and pop shop. It reminds me of Jim's and Tam's but a little more bougie. The workers were helpful and answered our questions when we were ordering. My husband loved his burger and I got a tuna melt. I think we'll be back soon!

Zucchini that was cold! Look at the amount ? This is NOT worth $11.

Went down hill. Always came here to eat. Been gone for awhile and wanted to get some zucchini and burgers. Such a disappointment! 1. Interior has gone down and not clean. 2. Restrooms are deplorable , dirty , and trash on floor. 3. Menu is printed in cardboard on counter. 4. Zucchini price and quantity is not with the $11 5. Service was horrible, plan to wait at least 25+ minutes, I only got zucchini , hamburger and chicken tenders and took approximately 25 minutes. The customer service has tanked. Food quantity and quality also tanked.

Honestly, from service to portion to food Quality, across the board everything was fantastic. Prices are fairly standard nothing exorbitant. The portions are great. I ordered the fried calamari which might've been the most tender and fresh calamari I think I've ever tasted. My wife had the Caprese salad, which was really fresh and well done. For the main meal, I had crab stuffed ravioli, and my wife had the steak beef bowl, which was enormous and could easily be shared with two people. The ravioli was excellent. The sauce was excellent. The flavor and the subtle sweetness of the crab shined through. My wife's steak bowl was also amazing. The steak was melt in your mouth tender. A very subtle heat in the seasoning from red chili, I believe. Chefs kiss. Our server was amazing and I feel horrible for not remembering her name, the woman who was working the front area was helpful and knowledgeable and just very welcoming. A special bonus was the old school 50s and 60s music. My mom would have loved it. This place is a definite guarantee for anyone who enjoys great quality food. We will be there again. I would've taken pictures of the food, but I am an absolute glutton and finished it...lol

The food here is clearly made with so much love and attention. Every plate comes out beautifully presented, and the portions are generous. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they're serving. We ordered the shrimp and garlic pasta and the shrimp scampi. The shrimp were huge and perfectly cooked with a nice bite--super fresh and flavorful. We also tried the chicken marsala and wow! The chicken was incredibly tender and the marsala wine sauce was rich, savory, and absolutely delicious. The food here definitely feels elevated--almost like a fine dining experience without the stuffy atmosphere. The service was also excellent. Our server checked on us regularly, kept our table cleared, and made sure our drinks were always refilled. They also allowed us to bring our own bottle with a small corkage fee, which was a nice bonus. Between the beautiful presentation, flavorful dishes, and great service, this place continues to impress. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to!

The octopus was tender and delicious with a heat that built up slowly. The bed of greens was a little over dressed but delicious. The burrito was very good. It sat for a bit while I ate the octopus so it got a little soggy. It had a lot of steak much to my surprise. The presentation of both dishes was exceptional. In my experience, Corona doesn't have many restaurants that produce high quality food and deliver. I'm glad to have discovered Maiz Cocina. I'll be back.

The bartender took our drink order, and we received chips and salsa, which were very good. However, the bartender seemed a bit distracted, forgot about us, even though it wasn't a busy night. We decided to give it another chance since so many people seem to enjoy this place. We visited again, and we ordered a few drinks, received chips and salsa, then placed our food order. We waited for a bit and ordered a few more drinks. Unfortunately, after waiting about an hour, we never received our meal or any update on its status. We eventually decided to close out our bill. At that point, we noticed we had been charged for the meal we never received, as well as drinks that were not served. When we brought this to the bartender's attention, they raised their voice and told us we were wrong, which caught us by surprise. I understand that things can get busy, but a lack of communication and being spoken to disrespectfully is unacceptable. A simple check-in or update would have made a big difference. Based on this experience, we're unlikely to return. We really wanted this to work, but maybe you had to be regular customer to get better service?! We tried, but this place is a solid No for us.

Let's start with the stars of the show: the ube pancakes and the white chocolate macadamia pancakes. The ube pancakes were so fluffy, light, and full of flavor without being overpowering. But the white chocolate macadamia pancakes? Obsessed. Easily my all-time favorite. They weren't overly sweet, just perfectly balanced, and every bite was chef's kiss. I'm literally writing this and craving another plate. I seriously wish they had a location in San Diego because I would be there all the time. Savory dishes did not disappoint either. I ordered the cowboy chilaquiles and WOW... this is now my top go-to spot for chilaquiles. The beef was so tender and juicy, and the portion was generous. Flavor was on point. We also tried the carne asada omelet, which was tasty, but I will say the bell peppers were a little heavy and kind of overpowered the dish. Still good, just something to note. The kalua pork eggs Benedict was solid. The pork was super tender and juicy, but overall the dish leaned more on the simple side. Not super standout, but still enjoyable. They do not hold back on the potatoes either... and honestly, I didn't mind one bit because they were so good. I finished them all, no shame. I also really appreciate their kids meals. Great portion sizes, good options, and such a solid price point for families. Ambience is nice and chill, and the customer service was amazing. Fast, attentive, and on it. Our server handled everything like a pro... no playing around, just getting it done. Overall, I love this place. If you're looking for a breakfast spot with a little Hawaiian twist, this is it. Just be prepared to leave thinking about those pancakes long after you're gone.
