my kids favorite breakfast place. when the now living out of town ones visit, they always go there for breakfast. only problem is noisy and busy, not a place to go for reading, wifi, conversation, just quck cheap food. probably best price to value in tucson eating out. beats $1 menu at fast food places. i've never had a bad meal, never heard any complaints about taste. nice people. friendly crowd. worth a try when you're hungry. reason for 4 stars and not 5 is how busy it is.....hardly a real problem! read more

I've enjoyed my time at Bobo's. They have just about the best french toast I've ever had and their burgers are good too. The staff is friendly and it has a really nice small town atmosphere. Haven't been to Bobo's in years but it is still great!! Tried the banana pancakes and wow! They were so good! Homefries were yummy but could stand some salt and pepper. Food was decent...I had the omelet with gravy, the gravy was ok I felt it lacked a little flavor and was pretty thin to what I was used to. Fiance got the pancakes ...they were good if you like dense pancakes, got a little dry after a few bites. The place was filthy with dust covering the fans, ledges, and under a unit sitting by the door. The service was great keeping refills....we showed up at 10:15, sat at 11:00 and food came around 11:45...a little long for the quality in my opinion. Let me start by saying the service and food is awesome. It's the tiny waiting area up front and the super crowded dining area that earned it's 3 stars. But the apple pancakes are worth a little claustrophobia. They refill your drinks constantly and service is very friendly and efficient. The home fries are really good too, big smashed potatoes fried til crispy. But don't go without ordering a pancake, they are huge, over an inch thick, and filled with whatever fruit, but I love the apple. Maybe I'll just get it to go next time. read more

Me and the boys just got off of a long night shift and stopped here at opening time on a Sunday morning. That's 5:30a and there were people waiting outside. At 5:31a the place was packed and I knew we hit the jackpot. Excellent service, excellent food with portions to fill you up (one pancake is plenty). My husband and I went there for the first time two weeks ago. We'd skimmed reviews here and have friends who've been here several times. We weren't sure what to expect, but it average. The food was big, but it was super greasy and I'm sure my body hates that I ate so much of it. I really wanted to try the chocolate chip pancake, but we shared a plain shortstack. It didn't really taste like a pancake, but this is probably due to the fact that we'd gotten full on everything else so we had to take the pancakes home. I'd still like to try the chocolate chip pancake, but I don't know how soon we'll be back. After driving by and noticing the window art offering Pot, Eggs, and Toast (which made us laugh so much) we decided to wait until a weekday to try it because the weekend lines are super long. Had a ham & cheese omelet. Really good. The kid had biscuits and gravy, an egg sandwich, and a pancake (couldn't decide what she wanted). The pancake was HUGE (I think she ate 3 bites) the B&G were outstanding (I took half of the gravy for my home fries. The sandwich? Eh. Was ok. The potatoes were obviously leftover and needed gravy to help the flavor. My biggest gripe was some of the wait staff. The little coffee girl was sweet and friendly. The other two ladies were crabby. I understand how a diner can be busy but you'd think you could at least crack a smile or at the very least reply when I smile and thank you for my food. Don't know if I'll be back just because of that. So I'll stick to my favorite place and leave this to its regulars. You're welcome. read more

Honestly, it's over-rated. Bobo's has the reputation of a small-town greasy spoon, but the quality of food and atmosphere simply isn't worth whatever perceived charm they can lay claim to. For a similar quality of breakfast items, you may as well go to Jerry Bob's. At least Jerry Bob's won't have a wait or cause you to have waitresses squeezing themselves between crowded tables all around you. There are nicer hangover spots in Tucson as well. You'd surely be better off at one of them if you need a quick grease fix. read more

WOW let me say it again WOW the pancake was bigger than the plate, and the eggs and bacon where great, but let me go back to the pancake it was so fluffy and melted in my mouth. I went to Bobo's restaurant for breakfast. It's a small place but very unique. I had the Reuben omelette and it was prepared to perfection. my wife had Bobo's veggie omelette which was also prepared quite well. The only minus to the meal was the home fries appeared to have been prepared ahead of time and had the flavor of fries that have been sitting for awhile. Overall I would recommend Bobo's without hesitation but be prepared to stand outside and wait. read more

Hands down one of the best breakfast places in town. I've tried a lot of menu items and I'm yet to be disappointed. There is a small wait but it's well worth it. It seems this place has been open for some time, and they got it right on. Only area I would say need a little improvement is the cleanliness. The booths had some trash on the sides of the seats between the window and the seats. I can live with that though, I'm eating my food off the plate not the side of the booth, but some people can be really picky about that kind of stuff. I still give them 5 stars.
