Went to Jerome for the day and when we drove in town you could smell the barbecue. So we had to stop here for lunch. There was outside eating and inside so plenty of room for the tourists. Loved how the restaurant was decorated alot of history to see on the walls. I had the pulled pork and wow it was a huge amount and very tasty. There was a great selection of bbq sauces from normal to spicy. If you like bloody Mary's this is the place to go! They also had great selection of drinks so we tried the tea drink and that was great. My friend had the short ribs and the meat just fell of the bone. Good Food and Fast Service. My wife and I stopped for Lunch. I had a half rack of ribs with a side of BBQ beans with pulled pork. The ribs were meaty, tender and, with four choices of BBQ sauce to choose from on the table, were delicious. My wife had the green chili which she enjoyed. Came on a cold crowded weekend day and was lucky to get a booth right in the front section, the staff so nice upon entering! Although I could tell they were getting politely irritated with tourists coming in, after they explained the closed patio section is heated several groups wanted to "check the temperature" I would get Irritated too! While one group wants to check the temperature the one behind them is fine with it and just wants to be seated in the crowded restaurant, people give these people a break seriously! The service was amazing considering how busy it was always always attentive service. I believe they are known for their BBQ and it is widely known I don't like BBQ, my parents each had the brisket sandwich and they said it was tender and PERFECT just like it should be I had a taste and without BBQ sauce it tasted amazing. My partner had the BBQ ribs platter and really enjoyed. We both had the "Jerome donkey" local bourbon, prickly pear, sour mix and ginger beer, it was SOO good! My mushroom and Swiss burger was very good I elected for the single not double patty. The burger was cooked perfectly mushrooms were big and flavorful. Crowded, loud and food served in a red basket with paper lining but still a solid experience......TIP only one co-ed bathroom for the restaurant so you may have to wait in line. read more

Don't waste your time at this BBQ place. Food is not that good. Waitress was ridiculous and cared only about constantly apologizing about her look. She couldn't even handle our larger party on the dirty patio, dirt and flies everywhere. If half of our tables didn't already get the food we were about to walk out. I enjoyed the meal here - it was really nice. Sitting on the patio in the setting sun over Jerome was great. Especially when I knew that back in Michigan, it was snowing. The drinks were good, I had a prickly pear margarita that had a generous amount of tequila in it and my husband had an Arizona Sunset, think it was a Tequila Sunrise with Coconut rum instead that he completely loved (he who never drinks had TWO of them). Ribs were good, brisket and pulled pork were also good. I liked that there was a variety of sauces on the table to try and decide which you liked best. Keep up the good work. read more

The service here is absolutely terrible. Waited for 15 minutes before the restaurant opened, really enjoying the smell of freshly cooked food by ourselves. We went in first, got a table and watched as the two servers took the time to take everyone's drink orders except ours. We have been comping to Bobby Da for 5 years and have noticed a serious decline each year but always come back hoping they were just having a bad day. Today we were told they no longer have wait staff. To day marks the last time we come back, not because of no wait staff but because our food was pretty much un-eatable. We came up to Jerome this weekend and we stopped at this place and I have to say it was phenomenal. I had the Arizona burger which consisted of the burger, toasted bun, green chilies, pepper jack cheese and some kind of sauce with lettuce and tomato. It was one of the best burgers I had. Every time I come to Jerome no matter where I eat the food is really good. Our waiter Diego was a really nice kid and very helpful so our experience was really great. If you like barbecue and you like burgers and you like good barbecue and good burgers this is the place to go, I highly recommend it. read more

We recently had lunch in Jerome and our daughter said it better be Bobby Ds. Only an hour from Prescott and a neat drive. Once seated in the balcony you can smell the wood smoldering and your mouth starts watering like Pavlov's dog. The BBQ is fired with pecan but enjoyable to smell definitely not smoky on the patio. We had the Arizona Cheesesteak and Brisket sandwich. They were tender, smoky and moist. One of the best I have had. I need to learn how to do this at home. They claim to smoke for at least 8 hours and up to 12 hours. Next time I will splurge and get the combo platter to try a little of each. The BBQ sauce was also great. It did not overpower the meat. After reading all the glowing reviews we gave it a try. I had the Ribs, my wife had the pulled pork sandwich. I thought the ribs were okay although the meat was a little dry. My wife enjoyed her sandwich. Few things that annoyed me was they only take cash but you can access the ATM machine inside the restaurant. In all honesty decided to try Bobby D's because as soon as we got out of our car in Jerome the smell of their smoker was all we could pay attention to! We went on Valentines Day weekend and although it was late afternoon the wait was about 15 minutes. We sat inside but they have a great patio with an AMAZING view that I need to try next time I'm there (and is not 40 degrees ;) ) Inside the tables are separated by clear plastic shields. We ordered the 2 meat platter with pulled pork and brisket. No knifes needed! You could literally tear the meat apart with a spoon if you wanted to! They have 4 types of sauces (separate so you can add and mix as you please). 2 of them are your more traditional bbq sauces. But the other 2 - 1 is mustard based and the other one is jalapeño based- sold on both! Ended up using them even for my fries! They were out of cornbread (sad!) so we got seasoned fries and cole slaw as our side and also a small portion of onion rings. The fries have what I can only describe as a magic seasoning that makes you just want to keep eating them! The onion rings were perfectly fried. The cole slaw was good - just nothing out of the ordinary. We also ordered an apple pie shot - which just as the name implies is a shot (with alcohol) that taste like desert! I had the prickly pear margarita and it was very good as well. For desert we had their banana pudding- cant go wrong with banana pudding! Great food! Great service! The food was ok. Back of house staff preparing the food are not wearing masks at all, so the one star is based on Covid safety and false advertising. Jerome and the county say masks are required and Bobby D's has a sign on the door saying they require mask wearing. read more

Amazing food and service, a rare find! We both had the rib plate, with the pork and brisket, onion rings and baked beans. I dont usually like brisket, but this was so tender and melted in my mouth. Same with the pulled pork. And with 5 choices of bbq sauce, we both found a favorite. The hostess Tara was so full of energy and delightful.
