A friend of mine brought me here for breakfast a couple of years ago and I've been fan ever since. We've become frequent fliers on Sunday after church. There is never a wait to get it unlike other spots in Old Town Cottonwood. I regard this excellent little eatery as the forgotten spot because it's never crowded but it should be. The food and service are always well above average. The cool thing about Bocha's is you can have a traditional American or Mexican breakfast. I really like the Bocha's omelet which has chorizo, cheese and a couple of moderately hot peppers. Their home fry potatoes are very very fresh and always tasty. I suppose the only draw back is they don't serve alcohol which is a bummer because I often like a good Screwdriver with my Sunday breakfast. You may have noticed that the building they rent is up for sale. I asked our server about it and she told me they have another two years on their lease so they plan to stay at that location after the sale. If you haven't tried Bocha's you're missing so great local fare. Try it. You'll like it. I promise. read more

I had the carne asada burrito lunch plate. The burrito had meat, cheese, and guacamole. The burrito was okay, not great, nothing special. The rice and beans sides were not very good, nothing special. The whole plate costed about $20. I took the food to go, but the service was good, kind, and fast. The dinning area was nice and clean. read more

My first time here. It was easy to find parking in their lot and we were immediately sat at a table. We came for brunch on a Sunday. Server was fast and friendly. I tried the Bocha's Breakfast Combo with scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, and texas bread. They have 3 different salsa options. I tried them all with my eggs and enjoyed all of them. Nice authentic little Mexican restaurant. Kids had cheese quesadillas, my significant other and I split a carne asada burrito, and a friend with us has huevos rancheros. Green sauce was spectacular, prices were great, service was fast and attentive. The kids were a little unsure at first about the queso fresco but liked it. I would have just eaten their quesadillas for them if they didn't and they wouldn't have eaten, so they wised up quick and actually enjoyed it once they tried it as kids do. read more

I must say that I made judgements about how my food and service was going to be at this restaurant before arriving. I must also say that I was very wrong. The food and service here is great. This is clearly a family run restaurant and they are doing a great job. The diversity of the food on the menu and specials board had me worried that they were trying to satisfy all people and in the end everything would be average. The atmosphere was nice. It felt very authentic. Everything also tasted homemade. The salsa they first brought out was very chunky. Personally, I feel like the veggies could be diced a bit more and have a tad bit more of salt for flavor. The tostadas were very tasty. They were pulled pork and I would go again for these tasty tostadas. Best item! My fiancé ordered a green Chile chimichanga. The green Chile was quite sour. I would say easy on the tomatillos & add something to tone down how acidity like some pollo bouillon or roasted Anaheim peppers. The carne inside of it though was so tasty! The 3rd plate i believe it's carne en sus juegos? Overly done with cilantro. I wish I could had that on the side. That sauce had a bit too much salt. But it was a solid 7/10 in taste. The rice looks bland but it has some flavor. The service was great. They attended us every moment & they were very patient. salsas do lack in flavor and aren't too tasty. read more

Gluten free and dairy light eater. This seems like a local favorite. I think we were the only non locals here for breakfast. Service was quick and we were essentially in and out within 30 minutes. I often like Mexican food for breakfasts. Eggs, beans tortillas. This was an average breakfast, but filling. No frills. I ordered a amigos breakfast with fresh tomatoes, Serranos and onion with eggs. It was served with potatoes and and beans. It was filling and not greasy. It lacked seasoning and salt. My husband ordered hueavos rancheros. It was filling and decent but a little soupy with the sauce. Salsa was a decent flavor but a bit too liquidy. read more

Small place and not something I would normally stop at by the appearance, but let me tell you this is THE BOMB Mexican food! Fresh salsa, good guacamole. Husband loves the Carni-asada Burrito . Wife and I did Mexican faire and it was very good. (All pictured) I had the enchilada plate Christmas-style and my wife had the chimichanga with shredded beef and green ranchero sauce on the side. The enchiladas were tender and creamy a bit smaller than is typical but the lower price made them a great value and with the rice and refritos they were very filling. My wife found her chimichanga very light and crispy and her shredded beef tender, beefy and mildly spiced. It went very well with the tart and medium spicy ranchero sauce. The rice and beans were perfect and tasty. We split a slice of chocolate cake for dessert and it was delicious, moist and tender and with a very intense chocolate flavor and a chocolate truffle-like frosting. read more

Delicious food and a nice atmosphere. The bean and cheese nachos with chorizo were great! The guacamole was wonderful. My grandparents enjoyed the oatmeal and huevos rancheros. The wait staff was really friendly. All around a good experience. read more

Family owned business the food is good, the place is clean, and the staff is nice. The bacon is lacking in taste but I'm also bacon boujee lol. Ask for chips and salsa it won't be put out automatically. Bring your fat pants you won't be disappointed. read more

Drink order wasn't remembered and waited for over an hour to be told our food was now being made.... they didn't want to admit the order wasn't put in...there was only 3 tables left after the rush and we watched a table that pretty much just sat down get their food so we started asking. We were on our way back home when we came across this lovely place. The food met our expectations for Mexican breakfast. The staff was very courteous, and attentive. The restaurant was clean, and followed social distancing, and mask guidelines. The food was delicious. We ordered a menudo which is only served on Saturday's and Sunday's which means it's extra fresh. We also ordered their breakfast enchiladas and chorizo, they split both green and red Chile for me to try. The waitress came twice with the coffee pot to refill our cups! We will save this spot for our next Sedona trip. If you want Mexican homemade comfort food, I definitely recommend Bocha's Cafe! read more

Delicious fajitas served on a cast iron skillet. Nice place for a sit down meal. Only real gripe was no beer. Other than that, loved it!

Haven't been to Bocha's since the pandemic. Went today and had the Chilaquiles, with their spicy green sauce, for breakfast. It was DELICIOUS!! The service was good and the facility was very clean. I see that they now serve wine and cocktails. Unfortunately, I've only had breakfast there, but will definitely be going back for other meals. read more
