popcorn chicken large
Kristina N.

The large popcorn chicken is amazing. Great for 4-5 people. They have big crunchy chunks of chicken. With great seasoning and fried basil. I would definitely come back and get it again or try other items. It's a food truck among a bunch of other vendors.

I've always loved going here since I discovered it from a Facebook group called SGV eats. My usual order is the combo pop corn chicken + sweet potato fries and my black tea! The people that serve and take your order are really nice too!

Popcorn Chicken with Sweet Potato Fries

We actually went to this food truck in hopes of finding some authentic Taiwanese shaved ice. Unfortunately because they moved their store front to a food truck they can no longer serve. However, we did not want to just leave empty handed and heard that the popcorn chicken was very good. My family and I were not disappointed at all. The popcorn chicken and sweet potato fry combo was cooked to perfection. Super crispy on the outside and soft/juicy on the inside. The seasoning was perfect as well! The combo was $14 and came with popcorn chicken, sweet potato fries, and a drink. Which I think is pretty reasonable for the portion size. The food truck is located by TS emporium side street on Nogales and Daisetta Street. Upon arriving the fragrance and ambiance really feel like Taiwan. Overall 10/10 would definitely come again. ^--^ I think they open until midnight everyday and I will definitely be returning!

My all time favorites place to get Taiwanese Food! Especially for the 3 flavors chicken bento! It's better than every way you can find at SoCal! And really authentic! The popcorn chicken is really amazing, You guys should have to try it! No.1 Pick Teppanyaki Noodle Killed it! Pork Blood Cake, outside crispy inside super soft! No one can beat it

Pork ribs with rice

Amazing! What went well? Well I guess everything we ordered went well! I was a little skeptical at first but decided to give it a try. I ordered the stinky tofu, OMG, it blew me away! No way it tasted better than most actual Taiwan night markets half way around the world! The crispy texture and the smell hit the spot! Paired with kimchi and the chili sauce you are in stinky heaven! I think the smell could be "more stinky" but I'm guessing this is better suited for the masses. We ordered the Cajun Corn, it tasted similar to most Cajun dishes with a little bit of character. Could be a hit or miss with some. I liked it. My main entree was pork ribs rice, solid 5/5 stars the meat was tender with flavor! My wife had the tofu rice, the tofu came out just a tiny bit salty, but was acceptable as the flavor was spot on! The only drawback back from eating food truck is that there's not much service (hence no tips) and you are eating right on the curb using their pop out tables and chairs. If you love Taiwan dishes, you better go try.

Fresh taro slush with egg pudding ... large size
Victoria C.

Passed by this place whenever I go to my friend's place but never got to try it. Today my friend and I decided to stop by on the way home after pickle ball. I ordered a fresh taro slush large size with pudding as the topping. The small slush was $3.50 and the large was $4.00. Since it was only $0.50 difference I decided to get the large. This place doesn't have dine in so you have to place your order at a pick up window. The drinks all seem like a good deal compared to other boba places. The minimum spend to use credit card is $10. After placing the order for 2 drinks, we waited about 5 -10 mins for the drinks to get prepared. To my surprise, the fresh taro slush was pretty good. I didn't adjust the sugar level (although not sure if you can), but might be too sweet for some people. The pudding had strong flavor and later would overpower the taro flavor. The slush overall was good flavor though. There is also crystal boba as a topping option even though it's not listed on the menu. I would definitely want to come back next time and try the popcorn chicken and their other drinks! I'm not able to upload pictures for this restaurant at this moment.. not sure why.

Bobamia is now a food truck business! That's right! You heard me correctly! Bobamia is now situated on the corner of Amar & Echelon close to where its former restaurant location was. The food truck itself is brand new and cutely designed, displaying all of the food and beverage options on the side. The food is still delicious as always with great portions for the price you pay. Grace still runs the business and is still friendly as ever. I got the Basil Chicken Tofu rice combo that came with a milk tea and it is still one of my favorite food offerings. Please come and check out this food truck!

$5 !!! Deal !!!

It has been a while since l got anything from a food truck. This was a deal for $5. It certainly came in handy after having dinner next door. Friendly staff !

I discovered this food truck while searching on Yelp after moving to the area and not having a refrigerator to store and cook homemade food. With limited dining options nearby, I was initially skeptical about whether it would be open due to the lack of reviews. I debated if it was worth the drive, but I'm so glad I decided to go. I tried the Pork Belly Rice with Popcorn Chicken and Big Shrimp Wontons with Noodles. The Pork Belly Rice and Popcorn Chicken were fantastic, especially with the marinated egg. The Shrimp Wontons with Noodles were also impressive--the wontons were full of flavor, and the noodles itself were surprisingly tasty despite their small portion. I would definitely return for a late-night dinner. Highly recommended! Thank you again for the good eats (:

Ada Z.

We ordered a pork belly rice with a side of popcorn chicken. The shop is tiny, so you wait outside for orders after placing it, and they call your numbers physically, so be sure you're listening for it. I loved that it came with a marinated egg and bean curd. The meat and rice were well flavored, and the popcorn chicken was crispy too. The price was good, and the box felt heavy! We'll definitely be back again!

Bobamia is a hidden gem. It offers various Taiwanese street food options. Very authentic flavors and definitely recommend it to everyone. It's always busy so make sure you call to order before driving down there.

Jinjunmei · Golden Treasure This one really stole my heart! The Jinjunmei tea has a naturally sweet and rich aroma, and it pairs so well with the creamy topping and crunchy pecans. The three flavors complement each other beautifully. You get that rich tea aroma first, followed by the smooth, creamy texture, and then a nice nutty crunch from the pecans. There are so many layers of flavor! Rose Oolong First of all--this drink is SO pretty! The pink color is absolutely gorgeous, and it instantly puts you in a good mood just holding it. And there are popping boba inside! One bite and they burst with juice Pink + rose + oolong + popping boba = impossible to resist. "Youthful Days" This is a jasmine green tea milk tea. The jasmine aroma is delicate and floral, and it becomes softer and smoother when blended with fresh milk, while the tea flavor still shines through. I really love milk tea that still actually tastes like tea! It's kind of like the name "Youthful Days"--fresh, clean, and uncomplicated. Matcha Latte If you're a matcha lover, definitely give this one a try! It's not one of those overly sweet green milk drinks. Instead, the natural aroma of matcha really comes through, with a subtle tea bitterness that gives it more depth. Worst customer service ever!…read more We hadn't even placed our order yet. As we walked in, we saw a sign advertising a buy-one-get-one-free promotion for October 16. When we asked about it, the employee responded rudely in Chinese, saying it was online only. I don't speak Mandarin, so I politely asked her to explain in English. Instead of responding professionally, she spoke to us with an attitude, turned around, rolled her eyes, and complained to her coworker that we were bothering her. The whole interaction was incredibly unpleasant and unprofessional. We were so put off by her attitude that all six of us decided to leave without ordering. We literally looked at each other and said, "Let's get out of here!" Why would we want to spend our money at a business where customers are treated this way? No thank you! If the owner cares about their business, I strongly recommend reviewing how employees interact with customers. Customer service can make or break a business, and employees with this kind of attitude are driving customers away instead of welcoming them. Put some camera and listen the interaction! For reference, the employee we encountered was a young, slim woman with brown hair in a ponytail. Employer was shorter and Asian, while the other was taller and wore glasses. You lost six customers today because of one unpleasant interaction. First impressions matter, and we certainly won't forget this one.

But being this is Los Angeles, I feel like there needs to be a sort of review for businesses. Content creators are invited to collaborate with. this is where this branch in particular really shines. They've been the most generous and chill sponsor, providing their entire new line of seasonal drinks (plus a special egg tart of your choice)! The best part? They don't pressure you to create any particular form of content (ie document a visit, leave a google/yelp review). I say this because other locations and other franchises have invited me to collaborate to promote new menu items around the same time, asking for more content with more restrictions, but give you much less in return. Not Auntea Jenny RH tho! They really just said "create however you like in your own style" and gave you drinks and snacks to enjoy the whole day. The femme manager who kept in contact with me and took care of me was really cool, supportive, and generous. I even came back to get more of my favorite from the line (the lychee oolong daifuku) when it officially launched. Only issue then was the staff who made my drink included no daifuku in this one drink order. So because I had previewed the drink I knew something was off. I contacted the manager I was working with, and she was quick to make things right next time I visited.

They've recently expanded their menu, so there is a nice variety every time we visit, and the service is always quick. Just a heads up: it's a small space with only one long wall bench and no public restrooms. Also, beware of the parking! The lot can be really tough to navigate since they share it with a Yoshinoya, Korean BBQ, and several other restaurants. Even with the crazy parking, it is definitely always worth a drop-in to grab a quick drink.

My friend recently discovered ice cream in boba drinks at another ALittle Tea location, so I was curious how those two mesh. I ordered the medium ice cream black tea ($5.49), with no ice and 30% sugar. True to its roots, this drink also came with an option to add up to three toppings for free. I got boba, tea jelly, and coffee jelly with my tea. The drink was delicious with the ice cream, but you do have a wait a bit for the ice cream to melt so it can be drinkable. Love that you can still add on more toppings on top of the ice cream. There is a little bit of seating inside (no tables), but it's more of a order and go spot. If you're already in this plaza, ALittle Tea is nice to stop for a boba drink, otherwise, you'd drive yourself crazy trying to find parking and navigating around all the bottleneck cars.

Just be prepared for crowds because it can get very busy with college students, especially at night. The space itself is pretty small, but they have a drive-through, online ordering, and the option to order with someone at the counter. I usually order the taro slushy with light ice and less sugar because I don't like my drinks overly sweet. I've always enjoyed the drink itself, and I also like that their cups feel sturdy and higher quality than the thin plastic cups you get at many other drink shops. The fries were also good. It's a bit pricey $7 for the fries. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was a horrible experience. I placed an online order and saw my name on the drinks that were ready at the counter. No staff members were around, so I reached over to grab my order. An employee suddenly appeared and told me that I couldn't just take it. There wasn't a sign telling customers to wait, and at places like Starbucks and other drink shops, completed mobile orders are normally left at the pickup counter for customers to grab. I understand if they have a different policy, but it should be clearly posted and communicated politely. I also requested no seasoning on my crispy tofu because I don't like their seasoning. The manager rudely told me they couldn't do that because it was supposed to come with seasoning. However, I contacted their customer service team afterward, and they confirmed that the tofu could absolutely be customized without seasoning. They even offered to replace it with a complimentary order prepared the way I originally requested. When I returned and explained the email I received, the manager acted very skeptical and almost seemed like she didn't believe me. The entire interaction made me feel uncomfortable, especially when I was only trying to receive the replacement their team had already offered me. I liked coming here for the taro slushy and convenient late hours, but after the way this situation was handled, I don't think I'll be returning.
