Good service, average food. Stinky tofu was great! pork chop rice just ok, rice was under cooked. Drinks are ok. Will go back one more time to try again.

I came here since it was right next to the my family's dentist and we were craving for something to drink. The big BUY 1 GET 1 Tapioca Milk Tea sign caught my attention as soon I entered the plaza. I was greeted by a nice lady and quickly received my order in a few minutes. The deal is good but the boba milk tea is only ok. Overall, I give this place three stars for its outstanding customer service although the drinks aren't all that great.

I got the regular boba milk tea and the boba was good but the tea is lacking something. The staff friendly and we came here because it was in the same shopping plaza that we had some stuff to get done. They have a buy one get one free deal. So for 4 people we paid only $6.50.

idc whatever u say u have to visit this place. they don't rlly have boba and stuff anymore but their beef noodle soup is literally heaven. also the service is great and it's a small business but pls pls pls support it this place is the absolute best and it's so underrated woah the frozen dumplings are also a must. it's so good i'm shook come here for some quality chinese food and also try em buns their rlly good too lol i just love this place sm

Spicy wontons are da bomb here!!

This place is a hidden gem. Their buns, dumplings, beef Noodle soup and especially the spicy wontons are bomb! Everything is handmade. Highly recommended.

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. Do not waste your time or money here…read more The moment we walked into Fu's Restaurant, it felt like stepping into a sauna. It was 79 degrees inside, muggy, humid, and completely uncomfortable. We almost turned around and left immediately. The place was practically empty, which honestly should have been our first red flag. We decided to give them a chance anyway. Big mistake. My colleague and I were offered water or hot tea. We both ordered hot tea. The menu clearly says in English that hot tea is $2.99. Nowhere does it clearly explain in English that you will be charged differently depending on how many people drink it. When the bill came, we were charged $5 each. Apparently, there is some clarification written in Chinese, but how are customers who do not read Chinese supposed to know that? That is completely misleading. The tea portions were not larger, not special, nothing different. Just basic tea. The pricing felt deceptive. We also ordered popcorn chicken and chili wonton soup. Both came out in tiny portions that looked like appetizers, yet the menu does not clearly label them as such. For what we received, paying over $30 total felt ridiculous. The food itself was mediocre at best. Nothing memorable and definitely not worth the price. Because of the uncomfortable temperature, confusing pricing, small portions, and average food, we chose not to leave a tip. As we were walking out, the waiter chased us outside and pressured us about the zero tip. That is completely inappropriate. Tipping is not mandatory. It is earned. Confronting customers outside over a tip is unprofessional and embarrassing. Between the heat, the questionable menu pricing, the small portions, and being confronted outside, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time. We will never be back. There are plenty of better places within the same plaza than to dine here. I don't expect this place to last long anyway.

The price point felt very fair, especially with the dumplings coming in at $14.85. Ambiance was casual and clean, jazz music with nice wall art. The food was good, the scallion pancakes were perfect for splitting between us. I also really appreciated the balanced portion control; it felt like just the right amount of food without being overwhelming. We were only ones in the restaurant near end of business on a Sunday night. Service speed was expected as cook to order. Definitely a good spot if you're looking for a simple and reasonable meal in Walnut or near Mt. San Antonio College. FYI photos are of the wall art, food was devoured.

However, if you order To-Go, the process is very EASY and smooth. On a weekday, I ordered the Crab Roe & Pork Xiao Long Bao ($15 - 8 Pieces), Fish & Coriander Dumplings ($14 - 8 Pieces), Shanghai Shrimp and Pork Wonton ($15), and Crab Meat Egg White Soup ($15) on the phone for To-Go. The lady on the phone spoke fluent English, and she spoke with an upbeat and cheerful personality. My food was ready for pickup in 30 minutes. Concerning parking, it's not too bad. Parking is available but competitive. The location has many cars searching for spots since this plaza includes the popular 85 degrees bakery. When I'd arrived that Monday, there was already a HUGE line of people waiting for Dine-In. I just walked in to approach the counter. Staff requested my phone number for pickup, and Staff moved very efficient and business-like. Regarding the food, it was DIVINE. The flavors and textures were impeccable. I happily feasted. The dumplings, wontons, and xia long bao all had the springy, sought-for texture. And each piece was STUFFED with fresh ingredients. SO TASTY! And the Crab Meat soup overflowed with crab and hot liquid which left me satisfied and full. I felt so happy... Overall, Thumbling (West Covina) continues to be a must-try if in the area. The food is very authentic, affordable, and delicious. Personally, I'd only order for To-Go since the crowds are a bit intense, but Thumbling (West Covina) deserves all the love. 5 out of 5. If curious, just go.

Skin was on the thicker side so no spillage! - Pan Friend Pork Dumplings 10 Not pictured but I always have to get this. I love that they add a dumpling skirt and the presentation was beautiful. Usually a dumpling purist, who only uses vinegar but it comes with a thick sweet sauce that was too good to pass up! - Cucumber Salad 7 Standard, I love that the plated it like DTF. On the more flavorful side, if my picky vegetables eaters are wondering. Would get again. You queue outside with their touchpad, no yelp waitlist. You also order with QR code. The staff were SUPER tentative about the water. I went on a monday so not busy but be careful on weekends for long queues! Didn't get boba this time but usually opt for the fruit teas! They used to have made-to-order food but now they switched to buffet style. It's small but it's special since it's the only veg buffet in the area. I think it's a wonderful and fun switch. I haven't had a "good" buffet experience since I started eating vegetarian 8 years ago!! When we go to a normal buffet, the options are so limited (even more when you're vegan) but it can't be helped if the rest of your party wants to go and aren't veg. The food tastes pretty decent and "clean." Nothing feels super artificial or incredibly greasy or unhealthy. I think the only thing I wasn't fond of was the bok choy because it was a tad over-salted. I would love to go back and try their instant ramen bar too! They had two noodle machines and a toppings bar. On the other side of it is where you can choose from three drinks and add in drink toppings as well. They had milk tea, a Taiwanese black tea, and an herbal tea. All drink options were on the sweeter side so if sweet isn't your thing then just stick to water! Service is mainly just when you walk in and pay for the food so I can't speak much on it. It's self-serve and you throw away your own plates, bowls, and utensils as they are disposable types. I personally think it'd be better to switch to reusable because it would make less waste but I suppose they offer what they can handle within their means. I would definitely come here again!
