I know this restaurant specializes in pho and hot pot, but I go here for banh mi. The bread is nice and fresh, the meat is plentiful and they give you plenty of veggies. To me that makes or breaks the sandwich. I pickle my own daikon, so you know I'm serious. The prices are reasonable and they do that buy 2 get 1 free deal. Banh mi for days! They open at 7am so you can swing by on your way to work. So do swing by and pick up your lunch. read more

I always get #1 Ham & Meatloaf banh mi sandwich. The sandwiches is Buy 2 Get 1 Free. The bread is fresh and ingredients are fresh too. It's not salty or anything. The pickled veggies and jalapeños give it the best combination ever! You can have the any ingredients taken out or have it on the side. The teas are Buy 1 Get 1 Free. I like Milk Tea Pudding. Thai tea is also good but I suggest opting for 1/2 sugar because the condensed milk makes it very sweet. I get it without ice too. There are a lot of other food options. You can dine in or take out. The dine is has limited seating but I've never seen it full. Restroom is "out of order" but you can ask for them for a key code3274 They have desserts, egg rolls, spring rolls, etc. Service is what you expect. Don't expect quality service. This place is GREAT once in a while but it's so inconsistent it makes the experience terrible. 80% of the time they "don't have", what's on the menu but it's really because they wanna see you get what they already premade. This is the go to spot in Hacienda Heights for some delicious banh mi! The service is pretty quick. There were some people who were still waiting for food but the turnaround was pretty quick. I also like that this is one of the cleaner locations compared to the other BMC Pho locations. read more

I'm not one to leave bad reviews unless I am being honest. There was literally a dead fly in my bahn mi sandwich. I bought the buy 2 and get 1 free. I'm returning all of them when I'm done with my meetings. I still have the receipt. I'm pretty grossed out from what I saw. I actually do know I've seen flies in their restaurant but never in my food! I'm going to be really hesitant to eating places where I've seen flies now that they might get into the food! read more

It's not in the best neighborhood but there are not as many Vietnamese restaurants around Hacienda Heights so take the food to go. Low on frills restaurant / deli that operates like a fast/ casual spot. You can order pho, but I came here for the banh mi or the Vietnamese sandwiches and I got them to go. The folks here were very friendly and I love the buy 2 get 1 free deal. It's a really good deal in my opinion. So for about $12-14, you get three quality, large sandwiches. There are also some other packaged goods you can buy that are located by the register. I got two bbq pork and one of the ham & meatloaf (#1). Since I was getting to go, I requested the veggies on the side. I got a package of the shrimp spring rolls. Overall, this food lasted me about 2-3 meals - dinner that night (a sandwich and the rolls) and two sandwiches I just ate at random times the next day. I thought the sandwiches were great with good bread. The rolls were good as well. Overall, this spot provides a lot of value for what you pay and the food is really good. Absolutely love this place! One of two BMC's in the area, and my fave to go to. My coworkers and I frequent here for their banh mi's. Banh mi's are light and the baguettes don't make me feel like I'm breaking my jaw. Another perk is that the banh mi's are buy two get one free (note: restaurant is available on uber eats and other delivery services, but the sale does not apply). In addition to banh mi's they sell other Vietnamese items like pho, vermicelli bowls, etc.. Most dishes can be ordered fresh or over the counter. Yes...I know that if you're in the SGV there's no shortage of great Vietnamese restaurants, but if you are pressed for time and looking for decent quality Vietnamese food like Banh Mi, Pho, or in this case Bun Bo Hue, then this place deserves a chance! Terrible location, with lazy employees that literally refused to take an order. Only wanted to sell pre-made products, which they were specifically told I have an allergy to an ingredient in the already made spring rolls. There were no customers, and she claimed that they were too busy to make anything. Came at 4:00pm, and they wouldn't make anything. It's ridiculous. We even attempted to buy the spring rolls, because only one of us has the allergy (and was fine to go hungry or find another place to eat, though incredibly inconvenient) as well as a dessert from their fridge, and then the manager even denied selling those items because she pushed us to buy more, saying she didn't want to sell using contactless payment under $10-which, post Covid, not many businesses require cash anymore. At that point, we were beyond frustrated with this old lady's blatant rudeness, obvious laziness to do any work, and refusal to accept any business. This is not the way to succeed in business. DO NOT GO HERE, I guarantee you'll find dozens of better Vietnamese restaurants close by, that actually give a damn about running a good business, and taking orders instead of refusing the way this awful place did. read more

Banh mi's are good and they pack a lot of meat in there, however, I would say that their baguette's are really dense and chewy as opposed to light, fluffy, and crispy that you'd find at other places. I don't hate it but I find it a bit hard to swallow because it feels like the bread is too dry. The baguettes are really toasted on top but don't let that fool you, it's not crispy at all. I do like that it doesn't cut up the inside of my mouth when I take a bite but I do wish that it was less dense and more fluffy. Prices are reasonable, 6.50 per sandwich, buy 2 get 1 free. I like this BMC Location it is Great! Hands down better selection and fast turnaround time ordering food compared to the Fullerton location. The cashiers are friendly like the Santa Ana location, service with a smile, and best part is there is always a lot of selection to choose from for the boxes lunches. read more

Why is this place not getting more 5 stars?!! People are tripping!!! This place has fresh bread that is light, fluffy, buttery, and all held together with a thin layer of perfect crispy crust. The fillings are standard traditional toppings, mix of fresh and pickled veggies. Delicious food staffed by good, hardworking, honest people. Twice I ordered here in two days. I have been going there for a few years now. Also, stop by on my way to work to pick up breakfast and lunch. Reason price but portion got smaller after Covid.  Cashiers speak English and Vietnamese Apple or Android pay.. Fast foods and taste are okay for the price. Banh mi sandwiches buy 2 and get 1 free from #1 to 6. I always order #7 meatloaf with egg (most of the still lukewarm) for breakfast, it fills me up until dinner time. Noodles soup is well packed and you don't need to worry  about leaks.  Basic drink: buy 1 and get 1 free. Price is $6.  They also carry small cup ice cream from Tasty Locker, I don't think they sell it in the store but I have seen a few other Asian restaurants carry it. It's pretty good.   You could also order online, but there is an extra fee or you could order on the phone. read more
