    4. Grilled BBQ Chicken Skewers
    Boon C.

This restaurant is in the mall. You just order at the counter and wait for your order to be call. But the wait of the food is long. We start with chicken skewer. The sauce is a bit sweet. May be can do the sauce on site. The chicken adobo is ok. The dessert lumpia is great. Overall is an average restaurant. Not much special.

The halo-halo alone hands down is what makes me a constant customer but the chicken & beef loompias are delicious too! Pancit Bihon lacks a little flavor & missing the typical chicharon with sauce over it but still good & we order it as well. All in all we give it 5 stars for being the closest most convenient Filipino food in Tyler. Please help keep this local business alive! Diversity in food options is a privilege!

    What I actually ordered!

I went there last night while staying in Tyler for the night and ordered pansit bihon and turon. When I got back to my hotel I had the noodles but the dessert was not what they gave me!

    Like caviar, very tasty

I visited this place and immediately noticed that good things were about to go down. Jojo Siwa was playing on the speaker, a tasteful song. The service was immaculate. Rosa, my barista, was an incredibly delightful person, and made an incredibly amazing boba drink that shattered my mind; it reminded me that there are millions of things to discover in this beautiful world, and Rosa's barista skills were just one of them. Thank you for the service! Oh and the popcorn chicken was really good too.

Delicious steam buns, the sauce is AMAZING!

Awesome venue. Right across the street from UT-Tyler campus. The boba was delicious with lots of flavors and ready suggestions. The fare was fresh and delicious. The steam buns were a great deal and I'm going to get more today! The layout of the actual restaurant is a little cluttered, but that can't be helped with certain locations.

This place is to die for. The owners are so kind and personable. My fiancee grew up with a Phillipino family so he really enjoyed getting to talk with the owners and share his love of the culture and food. The prices are great, the portions are huge, the flavor is on point, and it's such a refreshing experience to have in Tyler. There are three tables inside the little restaurant for a cozy atmosphere and a few tables in the main hall of the mall, just beside the play area. There is plenty of space around it and convenient trash cans for use. I would say this is a great thing for any parent to be able to eat or have a sweet drink while watching their child play between stores. I highly recommend the Lumpia and the Boba tea if you're easing into the food and don't know if you like it or aren't super adventurous. The Lumpia is very similar to, say, spring rolls in other cultures. If you wanna be adventurous, grab yourself some Kaldereta with white rice. It's a stew like consistency of meat and vegetables with a great spice and mixes so nicely with the rice. A hearty meal!

Ok we came here few months ago and I forgot to do my review and this is our 2nd time now so before I forget I'll do it right here ;). Place is nice good for a Filipino restaurant. They got bobba tea and other good drink choices. We ordered palabok, tapsilog (fried beef with fried rice and egg), lumpia (egg roll) and kaldereta (spicy beef stew). All pretty good actually. Kaldereta is spicy as expected, their palabok tastes good, egg roll is perfect in its crunchiness and tapsilog is yummy. Meats are tender and flavored perfectly. We had their sisig before when we first came here. It's not bad although I find it a little greasy. It looks like most of their food are a worthy to try. I guess this is the only Filipino restaurant here in Tyler so you won't regret eating here if you haven't tried any filipino food. Yes I would recommend this :) My only regret is they serve their food in a styrofoam.

There was a show in town featuring Filipino singer Jose Mari Chan and he did a meet and greet here. This restaurant near UT Tyler is the only Filipino restaurant in town. The food was great. Garlic rice had much garlic. the beef tapas were tender. Beef Kalderara was spicy as expected. The Pansit Palabok had more sauce than noodles and could have had more shrimp in it. There was more tofu then shrimp as you can see in the picture. The lumpia were all tasty and crispy. Could have got 5 stars if it was not for the pansit. Not pictured is a milk regular bubble tea with tapioca balls. Sweet! Check in here using Yelp for 2 free lumpia when you pay $10 or more.

I live close by so it's my go to place for quick drink fix. The place is clean and ambience is good. They have wide selection of bubble teas, shakes, and other food options. Their chicken/pork lumpias (spring rolls) and skewers with garlic rice are the best in town. The drinks are good. Used to be really good but I suppose due to frequent changes in staff, the taste of drink isn't consistent. They need to work on staff retention and good training to maintain the consistency on the taste and quality. Hence, I decided to not give 5 stars.

Carry out: lumpia, mango drink, pancit bihon, pork sisig, garlic fried rice.
    Marc M.

Friendly, quick service. The mango drink I had and lumpia were excellent. The pancit bihon when mixed with the garlic fried rice was good. The pork sisig was a little on the greasy side.

    Lumpia lunch combo.
    Sara M.

We both ordered the lunch combo. I had the four piece loompia with garlic rice and the strawberry black tea. Great deal for Lunch. We don't have this type of restaurant where I am from and I had a really pleasant experience here. When I come back we will be stopping here!

Came to Tyler to visit Tyler. Looked up a Bubble Tea place and this popped up. Went to check it out for lunch because my in law recommended their Filipino food. We had Thai tea, almond milk tea, shrimp and tofu noodles, chicken lumpia, chicken and pork bao and chicken skewers. The hoodie dish was something I had never tried before. The sauce was tasty. The lumpia was nice and crispy. The bao was large fluffy and very tasty. It doesn't need the sauce but the sauce is good. The chicken skewers were magical. There is a great smoky flavor and super marinated and tender but chewy. My almond milk tea tasted like almond dessert tofu which I love. I will definitely come back here next time I come to Tyler.

5 stars for food, 2 stars for sustainability/eco-friendliness. Bobaloompia has delicious and budget-friendly Filipino fare in a modern atmosphere. The boba teas are jam-packed with flavor, and the boba is perfectly tender. The lumpia are crispy and addictive. All food, whether served in house or to-go is served in plastic, which is a bit disappointing. Ceramic plates and metal utensils would be a great move in a more sustainable direction.

The food came in a timely manner, though two of my orders were forgotten, a small reminder, and it came out quickly thereafter. The Texas Ranger is amazing if you like spicy salmon. I love all things with spicy salmon. The spicy salmon roll was so simple, but just so fresh and I enjoyed every bite! The vegetable egg rolls were really good, as well. Definitely was not disappointed with my experience here. Ended up leaving full and happy!

Unfortunately, the hostesses have consistently been very off-putting. There's rarely an actual greeting, and they often come across as though they wish you hadn't shown up at all. Instead of a friendly "Hi! How many?" or "Right this way!" it's usually just a blank stare and, occasionally, a slight eye roll. It's honestly very odd and can be a bit uncomfortable. That said, the food and the rest of the staff have always been great, which is why I continue to come back. I just wish the initial welcome was a little warmer and more inviting!

I asked if I could sub the rice for another side dish, and they said no, which was disappointing. The miso soup was fine. It's the instant miso soup that you can buy at Asian grocery stores (typical of every sushi restaurant). My bf said the food was ok. He ate some of the Hunan beef (just the beef part) and some lo mein. The Hunan beef had a lot of baby corn, which I do not like. He did not eat much besides the noodles. Service was good. The decor inside was really nice. There are paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling and the table has a cute Sakura vase. There is a photo spot outside.
