I love the boba tea! and I love supporting local businesses.... however the staff working is always concerned with chatting with their friends and pay no attention to the other customers! this has happened to me on several occasions... very frustrating. We always ate here because my wife likes the halo-halo and the fresh lumpia but I noticed some food like adobo or tapsilog, etc. as not authentic as Filipino dishes I tasted. Overall, nice and attentive staffs. read more

Food is great but the wait exhausting. they try their best to showcase the Philippine's best food and try to blend it with other asian specialties like the bhan mi sandwich. i've been to this place since the first day of their soft opening, service speed never changed. their milk teas are great, i just wish you can also customize how sweet you like your beverage to be. i;ve tried everything in their menu, from the pork adobo, pork skewers to the siopaos and halo-halos. beware if you're in a hurry! read more

My wife and I visited the Philippines twice when we were younger, loved their take on food. We were excited when we found Bobaloompia in Tyler. My favorite dish is the "crispy pata." It is very crisp on the outside but when you break it open it is juicy, tender and delicious. We would call it a deep fried ham hock in America. They have a great variety of spring rolls and you should try them all, they are so crunchy. They have all kinds of coffees , teas and delicious drinks that most of us have never heard of, I am trying a different one every time I visit. Unfortunately they are small, have limited seating and no atmosphere but I love everything they serve so I keep going back. Their teas and smoothies are great. Often times, boba teas or smoothies make me sick, by I have never experienced that with Bobaloompia's drinks. They are a bit slow to make your order but the wait is worth it. I will have to come back to try the other things on their menu. read more

THIS is decent boba. The place in Longview needs to take a lesson from these folks. Milk tea didn't taste like it was from some cheap powder, and the boba actually had sweetness to it. Pretty good stuff! The siopao was pretty yummy, but I feel like there should have been a bit more filling, and the sauce/jelly that came with it didn't have too much flavor (I know nothing of Filipino cuisine; this was my first time eating it -- just my thoughts). Just finished up a spectacular lunch at Bobaloompia. This place is amazing. Friendly helpful staff and an amazing menu of food that brings new flavor to Tyler. I got my usual drink, cantaloupe black tea with honey boba, and decided to try out the BBQ pork skewers with a few lumpia thrown in because....they're delicious. Those skewers tho. Holy shit. The flavor was amazing. Grilled to perfection with a sauce that must be the nectar of the gods. I'm so incredibly full but if someone put more of those skewers in front of me I would devour them like I hadn't eaten in days. Check this place out. Amazing food with happy friendly service. I've had a fair amount of bubble tea and this certainly wasn't the best. I came twice and the boba was soft and mushy both times not chewy at all. The milk tea my friend ordered had an inch and a half of empty space on top and no ice. The employees were decently friendly but didn't greet anyone that walked in. The food was good but the drinks weren't worth it in my opinion. My other friend also ordered a small smoothie and got a large, she says that's happened on several occasions and she doesn't understand why. read more

I ordered the broccoli & shrimp. I was very good. My problem was with the portions !!!!! The main course was 1/2 cup and three cups of rice. The egg rolls were good. This so small of a portion for $10. I will not be back & I told all my friends of the portion size. If they do not change there ways they will not last long here.!! I'm pretty critical, so 4/5 is good from me. Tried for the first time tonight and overall impressed. Pancit Bihon noodles were great, and the spring rolls (loompia) were very good. Garlic fried rice a little strong but good, and perfect mixed with some steamed rice. The light vinegar sauce was excellent (for everything, even just on the the rice). We also had the pork belly. Not knowing exactly to expect, and more fatty dishes not really our thing, it seemed a good texture, very crispy. I guess it's a good example of that dish for people who grew up on it (and perfect with that sauce). Won't get it again personally, as I'm looking forward to trying other dishes there, and realize that for a whole culture of food that's new to me it's worth more visits to find a few more personal favorites for myself. I'm hoping they start to offer more of the individual entrees their preliminary menu lists. Of note, nothing was too greasy (not the fried rice, pork, anything), and quality seemed very good. We also had a GREAT mango smoothie. Not one to spend $3-4 at Starbucks, but they can't compare to the fresh fruit, great flavor, and probably the quality here. I'd rather have a smoothie at Bobaloompia as a meal than another burger & fries from next door (most days), and probably live a lot longer that way too. I enjoy eating here very much. However, there is one employee, Almeera, that makes ordering much more complicated than it needs to be. She does not listen, talks over me, and is far to concerned about pointing out that my husband pays for every meal we purchase from boba. I wish we could enjoy Boba more frequently but I prefer to avoid this employee and the frustration they bring. We used to go twice a week. Now we rarely go. read more

my mother got a sugarcane drink but was given ice with very little sugarcane drink, it's like the surgarcane was frozen and if it was then it wasn't fresh. while i on the other hand got a vanilla milk tea with lychee balls i'm not disappointed but my mother is. read more

Fun drinks! Multiple types of fresh fruit drinks and boba to choose from. I usually stick with the teas. When I asked about menu ingredients being listed online, I was told that they would not be, in order to protect the recipes. I do not think the recipes are THAT good. We were impressed by the spring rolls at first, but on our last visit, all felt sick later. If you are confused about menu items, google them! They have a website, mobile app and a rotating menu they (for some reason) choose to showcase on Facebook. First time? Try a fruit smoothie made with fruit you usually enjoy and add a popping boba of another familiar flavour that will compliment the blended fruit you choose. read more
