first time coming and i was not disappointed! went on a saturday afternoon and there were only a couple other people inside. i ordered 3 drinks and their popcorn chicken and only waited about 10 mins for everything! thai green milk tea (5/5) - it was super pretty and i liked how it wasn't super sweet like other places. popcorn chicken (5/5) - i got it medium spice and it was perfect! good breading to chicken ratio and they give you a good amount for $7. it was super light and crispy, would definitely come back to get it again :) interior (5/5) - super clean and there were games in the corner you could use while waiting service (5/5) - super friendly staff and they got my food and drinks out in no time ! read more

After shopping at Zion market, we decided to get some bobas! We ordered the drink at the kiosk and it's so convenience. The service was quick. We ordered mango passion fruit with boba and mango stars and it's refreshing. We even play connection four on the table. Fun time! read more

I haven't tried Boba Square in awhile, and now I finally remembered why. The drinks are kind of inconsistent and underwhelming. Let me start with the positives. The place is clean, and it never seems crowded despite the fact that it's near Zion Market which always seems to have a line. It also seems to stay open later than other boba shops in the area as well, which is unusual given that Irvine is the type of city where 90% close for the day at 8pm. And that's where the positives stop, honestly. As for the drinks, there's some issues. At 25% for their matcha milk tea, it was underwhelming to the say the least. After a good shaking, I couldn't taste the matcha... nor the tea... nor the milk... and the boba was too chewy. I think too much powdery taste on the first sip ruined the drink. This has happened to me before the last time I tried it so it seems to be formulaic. There's definitely better boba shops found elsewhere in Irvine so I would recommend saving your cash and going to boba shops like Sunright for speed, Orobae for tea, or Omomo for sweet mixed drinks. read more

Our go-to boba spot used to be Ding Tea but we've moved to the other side of Irvine and we're so glad we have found BS. Their popcorn chicken is soooo good!! Dare I say even better than Tastea's. The boba is good, not great but good enough for us. The service is another great thing. There was a long line on Saturday when I stopped and the male worker there (maybe the owner?) was so accommodating to a lady who wanted boba and ordered it wrong. Glad we found this place and we'll keep going back for sure! read more

I don't think I've ever seen my sister finish a boba drink so fast. We were looking for a new boba place and Yelp recommended Boba Square. Parking was easy, there was no wait in line and the drinks and food were AMAZING. Don't skip on the sauce either. It ads to the flavor of the chicken. I found my new favorite boba place! read more

Store was empty when we walked in but the environment is super cute with a cute photo wall and some games available to play. The guy serving us wasn't rude but seemed impatient was trying to rush us. Got the strawberry milk tea with boba but honestly it barely tasted like strawberry. It needed more flavor. Also don't bother with the smaller or regular size, it's not worth it and finishes in two sips. read more

The lady was kind. Service was fine. However, my drink was not...I am not sure if it was the strawberry milk drink I ordered, but the immense artificial taste was clogging up my sense of smell and taste, that I ended up throwing it away and getting nausea from the taste...Honestly wish I had my refund cause that strawberry taste was way too intense read more

The drinks were overall good, however I had trouble ordering. After I placed my order, the staff didn't make the drink. I had waited about ten minutes before going up to check to make sure the order had gone through and my apple pay didn't malfunction. They were just chatting in the back and hadn't started my order. There was no malfunction and they simply hadn't started my order even though it went through. Just a bit annoying that I had to remind them to make my order and they didn't start making it until I did. read more

The match drinks are good. I usually get the strawberry matcha and hubby does milk tea with boba But please clean your door, dirty.

The BEST boba shop in all of Orange County! Our favorite spot for so many reasons - great boba, (we recommend lychee kisses) drink & food options & so kid friendly: toys, picture wall & they give the kiddos stickers & squishys every time we come. Also great customer service which is so rare these days. Danny & Minh recognize us & their shop feels like the good ole Mom & Pop shops. Thank you guys for making this a fun spot for us to visit often! We wish you all the success! read more

Okay, I had to make a slight adjustment after my most recent visit. House milk tea still deserves the 5 star rating with the perfect balance of sweetness, however, other drinks are not on par with expectations (in comparison). Not sure if it was from the sugar/sweetener or the fruits but their peach mango smoothie was "way too sweet to handle" while the passion green tea was flat-out disappointing. read more

I went to Boba Square today and found out that the new POS system is already in operation. I love how the new self-service POS system works. The GUI design is better than the old one. I feel the owner is extremely efficient for improvement and does listen to customer's voice. read more

I've only had one drink at this Boba Square location. I see it quite often after shopping at Zion market, but I never felt like trying it with the huge selection of boba places in the area. My eyes rested upon the strawberry cheese foam and I really wanted it. So I ordered it. It wasn't great... at all. It was warm and I had to ask for more ice. They were more than happy to add more ice, so I appreciate that. Will I be back? Maybe. Would I order the same thing? Definitely not. Way too sweet and not cold at all. read more

Drinks are delicious and reasonably priced. My favorite is the brown sugar milk boba tea. It's so delicious it's kind of similar to a cream brûlée drink but not as sweet which I like. Popcorn chicken is delicious and you get a lot of chicken. I got medium next time I'll probably go spicer since I really enjoy spicy food. But 10 out of 10 recommend it's good. read more

Pretty good boba! Their concept is that they give you double the boba that other places give but I felt like it was a pretty standard amount. My husband had the regular milk tea and I got the guava at 25% sugar with boba. Both our drinks were good and I particularly liked the milk tea- it tasted like traditional taiwanese boba milk tea. We also got 2 bomba (ice cream bombs)- the spumoni and the exotic. Both were absolutely delish! I would definitely get them again! I recommend if you're in the area and want some boba or ice cream! read more

I wasn't sure about going here due to the mixed reviews but my boyfriend insisted. Then, I saw the menu and they had lavender milk tea!! I have never had it before and boyyy was it delicious! I love lavender and really liked this! The boba was a bit too soft for my liking, but I did like the drinks, including the strong taste of the taro. definitely will be back for more read more

I ordered the taro milk tea & the house milk tea as recommended by one of the staff members, Chris, and they didn't disappoint. The taro milk tea had a great creamy taro flavor while not being too sweet. The house milk tea had a nice strong tea flavor while also not being sickeningly sweet which I appreciated as well. The boba tasted fresh and not like it had been sitting for hours which is good. Overall, I would want to come back and try a few more drinks! read more

Heard a lot of good things about this place and decided to stop by today to see what they were all about. I gotta say is.... BOMB!!! Top 3 favorite boba places!!! My Unnie and I come here weekly! And every single boba we have tried is bomb! My favorites are the mango iced tea! And the smoothies! Also! The French fries with bbq seasoning and spicy! Ugh so Good!!!!!! Are you looking for popcorn chicken??? They have that too!! We always get it XXX! It's juicy, and flavorful and we always crave it! We have had the absolute pleasure of meeting the owners Min, and Danny! And they are always so welcoming! And treat us like family! I'm sure you will feel that too! The store itself is always clean! And you can play games there (which are provided) and also just chill out with bomb boba, and snacks!!! Oh! Also! We recently met a new worker there and he was awesome! Thanks Chris for being so welcoming and sweet!! Come try it here! You won't regret it! read more

We've been trying a few different boba tea shops around Irvine recently. We saw Boba Square on our way out of the shopping center a few days back. It's easy to miss because it's tucked away on the end, facing away from the rest of the entire place. The prices are a bit steep, but it's pretty much inline with other Irvine boba shops, which all undoubtedly necessarily charge a lot to help cover their sky-high rent. We visited the shop twice in two days, both times getting a taro smoothie with boba. It was a good drink if you enjoy taro. It wasn't really anything extraordinary, but pretty much exactly what was expected. The boba itself was decent. We might or might not return. It's convenient because it's not too far, but there are a few other places with better offerings, such as Presotea and Sunbright Tea. There's also Omomo, but we haven't tried that yet because they always close too early. read more

Kids working here need to pay attention to the online orders. Ordered on Yelp at 4pm Sunday, walked in only two ppl in front of me. One fatger and don actually ordering, So they are not busy. Keep seeing other ppl walked in and order and got their drinks. Even the father and son got their drinks. 4:29 still no drinks. Asked. Now they checked but no explanations. My daughter liked her green apple Boba slush, but the purple-haired employee seemed put out that we were there. She was cold and acted annoyed by our very presence. In addition, the POS system is in Japanese, and the only items In English were the tip amount buttons. She didn't deserve a tip, but we had no choice as non-Japanese speakers but to press a percentage tip button to get to the next screen. And, she watched me press 15% and seemed disappointed. Good Boba and Iced Tea, but the service needs to improve. read more

I left a review a year ago and would like to say again today, that this is still our favorite boba place. The new owner Danny and Minh were so kind and willing to give back to the community after they took over. This year, they sponsored AWISH, this favorite annual cultural/heritage event of my kiddos' elementary school and it was a huge hit! Everybody loved their boba and the long queue proved it. Whenever I visit this store, the staff is always friendly and ensuring the drink is to our satisfaction. On last day of the school year, I continued my little tradition of ordering from Boba Square for the class I served as room rep and my class definitely got all other students jealous! Danny took my order and personally delivered the drink to our school even before the store was open. I truly appreciate their kind hearts and genuine honesty, and most importantly, love their boba! :D read more

I came back and they are now serving popcorn chicken. It was crispy outside and juicy inside. Ask for extra spicy If you can handle it. I can't believe how good their honey green tea is. I haven't been to this location in a year but I finally visited this week and it looks like they are under new management. This place has gone down hill since new management. Staff are terrible, drinks are made all wrong. Cheese foam is suppose to sit on top of the drink not at the bottom, why did my cheese foam melt to the bottom of the cup before I was even able to poke my straw in? The house iced coffee was sour and watered down. It seems like the new owners hire just anyone and not actual quality workers like the previous owners did. All the workers here seem a little weird too. This place use to be so good before new owners took over. Please just go to the Boba Square in Tustin, drink quality is way better there anyways. read more

Literally this is best the boba place in town. My number 1 go to everytime. Fast service and so tasty

Terrible service. The girl with the purple hair who worked Sunday, 9/25 is super rude not only to customers but also her coworker. I saw how she talked down to another coworker regarding drink recipes. When a customer asked her for a drink carrier, she slammed it onto the counter. Yeah.... Don't spend your money here. read more
