the drinks i had ordered were awful! i went back in to try to exchange one of them, they were very rude and not allowing the exchange. they had offered to just "add sugar" but no additional anything could make it taste better... we explained we have gotten it before and enjoyed it yet they wouldn't just allow the exchange or refund. do not recommend. they really need to work on their customer service skills! read more

2.5 I'm bummed to write this but Boba Square just doesn't cut it for us. Our very first time we really liked it, but as we kept coming back {even before Covid-19} things weren't right. One visit they said they could make my sister's drink without sugar but then the next visit they said they couldn't do it, the flavors are just off. We've tried their matchas, teas and slush drinks. I did not care for their flavored matchas since their isn't any real flavoring to it! Their thai tea was just so so. Also, their seems to be a confusion between the younger employee and the other employees, which can get things mixed up with your drink as well. Their are toooo many boba spots in Irvine to have subpar boba! Sorry Boba Square it's a one and done for us. :/ read more

Tried the new popcorn chicken since there is a deal right now where it comes with a free mango tea. We chose the spicy option and it came out crisp on the outside and the chicken wasn't dry. It came with a sweet and sour sauce which paired well with the spicy chicken. It was good and had a satisfying level of spice. This is a fine boba drink shop in our neighborhood. It's our second favorite boba shop near home that also serves smoothies. The selection is not as wide, but they have some flavors that the other boba shop doesn't have (i.e., blueberry smoothie, my daughter's favorite). Also, they make Thai tea smoothies even though it's not on the menu. There are parking spots conveniently right in front of the shop. And I like that they will take orders over the phone, so the drinks can be ready by the time you get there. Overall, it hits the spot on a warm summer day. read more

The drinks were good but the customer service was horrible. The 2 workers that was there was very rude and disrespectful. This was my first time getting boba there. After I got my order, I realize they got my order wrong! I tried telling them but they were both distracted and I had to call out 4 times. After they redid my order and I walked out, they didn't seal the cup properly. It spill on car all over. They didn't even apologize. Still gave you the attitude. We went over there this past Sunday 1/16 in the evening. There were one girl and two boys working. The two boys were acting like high teenagers. They were Extremely unprofessional and were fooling around in the back instead of making the drinks. They finally got around to make it and they made the wrong order. The guy was not even dressed professionally. He had his short open off his shoulder. I was very shocked with the lack of professionalism. The drink was not well made. This is without a doubt the best boba location. Not only are the drinks excellent, the service is exceptional.

The interior decor is nice and warm. The chandelier with Edison bulbs is definitely my style. I got a black sugar milk and it's good. They don't give a ton of boba. A large one with boba is $6.50. I was a little taken aback as that's the most I've ever paid for this drink. Even at ding tea it's never gone into the $6 range even if I add cheese foam. Just be aware of pricing for larges. Went here today try their guava black tea it was sooooooo good ! But a little tip: I got 25% sweetness and it was blend but my friend got 100% sweetness and it was bomb !!!!! This place is in back of the Zion on Irvine Blvd. The room for the line and viewing the menu is very limited. I think I wouldn't be able to carry large handfuls of groceries in here after shopping. There's also only one table to sit at, so we took it to go. We took a long time to decide since they didn't seem to carry what my friend wanted. I had them pay for me. As far as the drink was concerned, it was too sweet since I forgot to ask for a sweetness adjustment, but it tasted good otherwise. They have a FiveStars terminal.
