I could have used some more blueberries on tops. I had a side of their chicken sausage patties, those were tasty. Being from the deep south, this is the first Bob Evans I had ever eaten in. My wife prefers Cracker Barrel and I Waffle House, so Bob Evans was our compromise on our recent trip. The restaurant was clean, the wait staff was very friendly. We were seated quickly and placed our coffee orders Our coffee arrived quickly and we both ordered the Homestead Farmer breakfast. I had grits, my eggs sunny side up and my wife choose hasbrowns with her eggs over easy. Everything came out quickly. The gravy being brown threw me off, I was expecting white gravy... The sausage patties were cooked correctly but had very little taste... Eggs were perfect, biscuits were good... All in all, not a bad breakfast. I would go back. read more

Be very aware that this Bob Evans allows nasty stinky dogs. My grandson and I were there on Aug 2nd. He was getting cranky as he was hungry and my blood sugar was dropping. We ordered, and was eating when they set a couple with a rat terrier next to us. All we smelled was wet, nasty dog! It was NOT a Service animal, they fed the mut from the table and kept holding it! Our meal was ruined. We got up and left. We will never go back to Bob Evans again if this is their policy. Not every likes or cares for dogs or may have had a bad experience with dogs. This was my first time in a Bob Evans restaurant, and I can't say it was wonderful. When I first entered the seating areas, the floor was horribly dirty. I had to ask a waitress twice for someone to clean the floors around my table. Apparently, there was a large party that just left, but still. They made up for it, though by cleaning up the mess. The food was good and remarkably inexpensive for the amount of food and portions they serve. Probably a little better than Cracker Barrel but not as good as IHOP. Stopped into Bob Evans on a Sunday for breakfast and had the Everything Breakfast sans biscuit thanks to a gluten intolerance. It was my first time eating at this chain and overall it was pretty good. I try not to eat at chains for the most part and support small business but that was tough to do with few restaurants in Paducah offering brunch on a Sunday. The coffee and the food were both solid and the prices are very good. The hollandaise was a little bland but for a restaurant that mass produces food this didn't surprise me. I had never been to a Bob Evans until this past weekend and all I can say is wow. I had the candied bacon and a turkey sandwich and they were delicious. The fries that came with the turkey sandwich were also very good. I didn't have enough room for desert, there were tons of options though. This is a chain restaurant located off Exit 4 in Paducah, KY - the "mall" area of town. It is surrounded by a bazillion other chain restaurants (and a few local places). Despite all the other options, this is the mainstay of my extended family for our "Sunday after church" meal, and it frequently gets picked for Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc. It is, ostensibly, a "southern style cooking" place, but really, it has one of those menus that contains just about everything. You can get breakfast food all the time, or order any number of sandwiches and dinners. While nothing on the menu is wildly crazy or unique, the restaurant gets high marks because they know what they are doing. Whether this is due to the current staff, or the fine tunings of a corporate entity, is irrelevant. Everything is fresh here - the lettuce is crisp on your salads and burgers; the buttered, toasted bread is not soggy with butter or burned on one end, but not the other. Beef, fish, chicken...it's all well-cooked, flavorful, and well-presented. Their soups are great, especially their baked potato soup, which is actually potato soup, not a glob of processed cheese-like substance with a few shreds of potato. Salads are great, and really, I've never had a bad meal here. Prices are reasonable, the staff is courteous, the bathrooms are clean, and there is ample seating, even for larger parties, or groups with kids (I have a 3 year old nephew and he loves the place). I ding it one star because it is a chain, and because the location is crowded by other loud, garish chain businesses (hotels, restaurants, gas stations, etc.), the traffic flow is weird (you enter from the backside, which is also how you get to an Outback and a hotel). read more

Right off the highway and great service. We stopped both on our way to and from Nashville and both times were lucky enough to have a waitress name is Tray as our server. She was great, attentive, fun, and ensured that our drinks were always full. the banana bread is worth the Indulgence of a side order. My husband and I go to this restaurant every week or two for breakfast. The food is awesome; the staff is always friendly and our favorite server is Trey. She remembers our drink orders every time and usually goes and gets them before we get comfortable in our seats. I usually get the Griddle Combo with pancakes with blueberries inside and bacon. Best pancakes anywhere! My husband changes his order from week to week and always enjoys his food. You never go away hungry. The manager is super friendly and always ready to help if we need anything (to go box, extra syrup, etc). I have never seen the restaurant dirty so past reviewer must have arrived after an especially messy crew of customers. If you want a great breakfast, better than IHOP or Cracker Barrel, stop by here. read more

I'm a early riser. I made my breakfast always at home. But last week I tried to do something different. Last Saturday I came to "Bob Evans" Its pretty near to my home. I ordered for "Veggie Omelet- Loaded with broccoli, onions, mushrooms, red and green bell peppers and shredded cheddar cheese. Finished with fresh diced tomatoes and green onions. Served with hash browns, home fries or fresh fruit and freshly baked bread." and "Bob Evans Sausage Gravy Breakfast- A bowl of sausage gravy served with biscuits and hash browns, home fries or grits". I was wondered by taking the foods. Unbelievably delicious and also nutritious. I changed my mind that when ever I get chance I'll be here for these delicious foods. Service was sincere and warm. We stayed at the Drury Inn next door so we decided to try it. My husband got the chopped steak which was delicious. The service was excellent our sever was very attentive. We waited up front for about 5 minutes to be seated. There was a server that looked right is and completely ignored us. I ordered coffee, pancakes and bacon. The pan cakes were undercooked and the coffe was cold. The bacon was good. I can definitely see why they have only a 3.5 on Yelp. I will hit up IHOP next time. read more

Eat here often w my parents, its dad's favorite place ...... For the $ , i think this is a better 'breakfast' place than cracker barrel. Portions are generous . Reasonable prices :) Im not a huge fan of the pot roast ( tried something other than breakfast the other day ) ..... soups and sandwiches are pretty good .
