We have been to this location 3x and have visited Mellow in a few other locations/states. This location is in a historic building with poor parking - you park in the limited spots on the street or across the street in the bank's parking lot. The first two times our service and food were great. Alpha gal so I have to be careful, but I'm lucky and can eat moz cheese so all of the options they offer are great. The last pizza I had was the veggie with chicken added and it was delicious, but not as good as what the boss ordered. She got a calzone with kalamata olives, mushrooms, and tomatoes and I snagged a bite - so delicious. During our last visit the server said she would be back to take our order in a few minutes then fell off the face of the planet. We weren't in a huge rush, but it was long enough that we just about got up and left. Casually watching our server and it wasn't just our table, this server just wasn't very timely. This has been the first location I'd go back to due to service issues. Seriously, 100% of the other Mellow locations we have been to had terrible service so if the last visit was an indication of things to come I'll have to update this review. I love the repurpose of the Coca Cola building and the classic subway tiles. It's well lit and bustling like a family get together! The drinks menu is robust and the pizza is finger pinching good. We hadn't been to Mellow Mushroom in years and decided to give this location a try while in town. It was the night before Thanksgiving, early evening when we arrived. Parking was a little tricky, but we finally found a spot across the road. Greeted and seated immediately upon entrance. The waitress was very attentive. They weren't busy at all. The bar had several patrons, but the dining area was pretty chill. We had the cheese bread, which is served with red sauce, and we created our own pizza with pepperoni, onion, and bell peppers. The veggies were crispy on the pizza, but other than that, it all had good flavor and came out quickly. I really liked their traditional crust as well. read more

Stopped by at 8 pm after long day on the road. Was seated quickly in a booth 15 feet from the bar. Took ten minutes to have order for glass of beer to be taken. Took another fifteen minutes for server to come back for food order. Guess what, no beer. Bartender walked by my booth a half dozen times during this period. Told server I had ordered beer, wasn't there and that I was leaving. She turned around and looked at bar and pointed to a beer that had been sitting on the bar for who knows how long. I left. I dined at this establishment yesterday Friday March 27th. When I got my bill it was 66.00 I left a 20.00 tip. When I looked at my charges this morning I was charged 128.56. The waiter helped himself to a lot more of my money. I called them this morning and they never called back. I went to Mellow Mishroom and was told they would refund me 64.00 I am still waiting to see the pending deposit in my account. I have never been overcharged in Paducah until now. That doesn't mean everyone there is a thief but I do think that Mellow Mushroom could have done more. I have never asked for a refund but this time I think I should have received one due to the fact that i'm still waiting on what I was overcharged. They will not get my business anymore and i'll warn friends and family. read more

We've been to a few Mellow Mushrooms over the years and it's usually a good meal. This one was very fun as it's located in an old Coke bottling plant so the aesthetic is really fun. The service was very good as well and we enjoyed our drinks (my wife got a cocktail and I got an IPA). My wife had a mushroom pizza that she really liked and I had a grilled chicken salad that was very tasty and very filling. This place has really gone downhill. The current generation of kids working here seem to lack basic common sense, and management has followed the same path. The recent hiring choices are questionable at best -- from male hosts in inappropriate attire to a questionable female bartender. Our dining experience was frustrating. We were repeatedly brought items we didn't order, and the overall atmosphere felt careless. We come out to enjoy a good meal, not deal with poor service and unprofessional behavior. With so many amazing restaurants in town, we will absolutely never be returning here. It's disappointing to see a place lose its standards, but ultimately, it's the responsibility of management -- and older generations -- not to enable or excuse the lack of accountability we're seeing. read more

We have been to mellow mushroom, or ordered the pizza, several times while visiting Paducah. The pizza here is delicious. Most recently, the wife and I ordered pretzel bites, magic mushroom soup and Greek salad with the niece and nephew. All of these were good. The pizzas are large and portions of other dishes are ample. The pizzas are well seasoned and quite tasty. Our nephew recently ordered and enjoyed the house special. He managed to eat almost an entire pizza on his own. He felt it was a good variety of toppings. Our niece said the magic mushroom was wonderful. I agree with her. It has a nice, rich base. My one complaint is that the server/kitchen did not have service well coordinated. Food arrived whenever it got cooked with the pizza arriving substantially before the salads and soups. The timing of service could use work. But that won't stop me from returning. read more

10/10 do NOT recommend. From freezer burnt tots to exceptionally rude servers. KY can forget about me. These servers look just as sloppy as their work. We had a server from another section ask us "are you leaving?" And when we said yes she said "good". Our server "forgot" our appetizer, never came back to our table after we sent a sandwich back. Pizza and beer is always a great combo. Atmosphere - A very unique building, the former Coca-Cola bottling building Sign to get into the place could be better. If you do not know where the hostess station is with in the building it is a like awkward finding it. Their space is very unique. I love the floor to ceiling white tiling. Food Drink - The IPA I had picked was replaced with the hazy version, which I was fine with. Rhinegeist Juicy Truth. Appetizer - The Yelp check in got us free pretzel bites. The three us had plenty as we did even finish them before our pizzas arrived. Dinner - I had the 10 inch House Special pizza. A hand toss pizza crust was perfect vessel for all these toppings. I think the only thing this pizza was missing was the kitchen sink. The whole slice tomatoes were a nice suprise. Service - Lacking, so you need to order your food from one area and drinks for the bartender. The bartender did visit us at the table. She delivered the drinks and forgot about us. It took some effort to pay for the drinks that were ordered. She literally said she forgot about us. Future - I have been to a few other locations. It might be chain but their unique approach and local flair makes it feel like a mom and pop pizza joint. So yes I would come back here or other locations. read more

Very cool building! Well lit and spacious, and the noise level wasn't too loud. My waitress gave excellent suggestions (even though I chose other items). The half and half pie was on a small (10") pizza, which I think is excellent they will do it on the small pizzas. Perfect choice when you're indecisive on pies! I loved everything about my visit here. It's located in a repurposed Coca Cola bottling facility. The building itself is so cool and I was in Art Deco vintage design pizza heaven. Our server, whose name I cannot remember, was LOVELY. She was perfectly pleasant and helpful, with a great smile and an engaging personality. I really should be better about getting and/or remembering names. We started with hummus and the pretzels. Oh my goodness was the hummus good. The pretzels with the beer cheese was delicious, too. We got the large order, thinking we'd "take some home." I think one made it out alive. Then I had to try to mushroom soup, which was very creamy and tasty. It was topped with dark, rich, sautéed mushrooms and it was all perfectly seasoned. I got the Havana pizza, which is inspired by the Cuban sandwich. OH MAH GAH. I'm not a huge pizza fan. In fact, I wasn't even going to get pizza. Im so glad I did. I only had one slice because, um, appetizers, but it was a great slice. The good parts? The fact that they'll do any pizza half one flavor and half another! We ordered a small, 1/2 Pacific Rim and 1/2 Holy Shiitake. Both were tasty. We used the Yelp coupon to get a free order of Pretzel Bites (nom NOM!). They have a full bar, so I was able to order a COCKTAIL while waiting for our food. The building is AWESOME! The bad: the pizza took forEVER to get served. The cheese they serve with the Pretzel Bites is kind'a icky. We requested marinara and it was MUCH better.
