Barrel & Bond is our favorite place to go to get a drink. The drinks are always delicious and the staff is usually very friendly and the environment is relaxing and enjoyable.

I've been here twice and asked Jamie to recommend flights both times. She asked a few good questions about my preferences and nailed it both times. Great ambiance. Classic bar feel.

Good place to stop for a drink. Their appetizers menu is not very large but worth the try.

Queen of Thorns

This place was an unexpected highlight of our holiday trip! The bar was cozy and comfortable, but the major show stopper were the drinks we ordered. We ended up getting the Bless Your Heart and Queen of Thorns, and I honestly had a hard time choosing which one was my favorite! I finished the evening with a glass of the bartender suggested Juggernaut Cab Sav which was very smooth and full bodied. The bartenders were very friendly and quick, and even better we ended up meeting the owner the next day when we went to a local liquor store (super nice and knowledgeable guy)! We will definitely be back to this gem of Paducah.

Bartender was knowledgeable about the liquor, friendly, and able to help us choose the best drink! Would highly recommend!! Ambiance was such a cool chill vibe too!

I paid $75 for an Old Fitz 14 year at Barrel & Bond. It's $26 at Nob Creek Tavern in Newburgh IN. Really got screwed in Paducah!

In fact, I can't really imagine there being a better bourbon selection anywhere within two hours.

Freight House in Paducah is worth the drive from Nashville (and if you are a fan of quilting, this…read morecity is for you). We showed up right at opening, five o'clock, and there was already a long line of people waiting to get in. Make a reservation. I'm glad we did. We had a party of four and was seated at a low top that had a view of the kitchen. Lively open space with an open kitchen you can see both the cook line and the prep area. The cornbread was the unexpected standout of the entire meal. Mildly sweet, savory, light and fluffy all the way through. I was not expecting a side dish to steal the show, but it did. We also ordered the double stuffed burrata, and the bread it came with deserves its own mention. Crisp, lightly toasted, with just a touch of char. It paired beautifully with the creamy burrata and the accompaniments on the plate. For my entree I went with the grilled Caesar salad and added shrimp. It ended up being the perfect call. The portion was generous, the shrimp addition made it feel like a real meal. The romaine had this excellent crisp char on it that added so much. The dressing was heavenly. One of the best Caesar dressings I have had in a while. My favorite parts of the night had nothing to do with what was on my plate. We got to watch chef Sara Bradley working the kitchen with her team during service, and it was clear why this place has the reputation it does. I'd love to come back and try the prix fixe tasting menu next time. Overall this was a great experience from start to finish. And a must stop or destination when driving through KY.

I typically am perfectly happy to pay whatever it takes to get a good meal and usually don't pay attention to the bill But this bill easily exceeded by 50% What you typically pay for a high-quality meal And while the meal was quite good, it wasn't a five star meal The service was five stars The salad was good The coconut clam appetizer was good My branzino was quite the small portion and lacked flavor Our salmon was overcooked to dry The best part was the service it was impeccable I rarely say this But I'll never go back it's just not worth it It's a 150$ meal. Not a 235$ meal. Other patrons voiced the only reason they were there was because it's the only place open on Monday.

If you're worried about running out, oh well, at least match the size for the value. Salmon seemed fairly big enough for the $$. You're a good spot fr dinner, but have to do better. Hope you take to heart.

The margaritas were good [especially the mango with tajin rim] and I really enjoyed the ambience on the patio. But, the waitress didn't seem to know the answers to many of the questions I asked so she would go off to ask and then take awhile to come back and in one instance she forgot completely until after we paid the check [she was very kind, though]. We ordered the burrito and enchilada combo to split, which the menu described as having green sauce but it came out with red "sauce". I don't like red sauce and wouldn't have ordered a dish with red sauce, but this was more akin to the watery tomato juice you get out of canned tomatoes. The corn tortilla on the enchilada wasn't cooked and the chicken inside both items tasted like canned chicken. It was very flavorless overall. If we come back, it will be for drinks only.

The last pizza I had was the veggie with chicken added and it was delicious, but not as good as what the boss ordered. During our last visit the server said she would be back to take our order in a few minutes then fell off the face of the planet.
