A group of us came to the Paducah Applebees for my husbands birthday and I can't say enough good things about our experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. The service was exceptional--friendly, attentive, and thoughtful without ever being intrusive. Dustin was our server, he went above and beyond to make my husband's birthday feel special, and his kindness truly made our celebration memorable. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the level of hospitality was outstanding. It's rare to find a restaurant where both the food and service exceed expectations, but this place certainly did. We waited about 15 minutes with no service. Our server (also the bartender) seemed defensive when we asked about it and even took another order before ours. Our party of three got handed the wrong orders, the whole experience felt disorganized despite it not being busy and we experienced far better service from the hostess. We also got food poisoning!! We were really disappointed with our visit. The restaurant didn't mention they were out of broccoli for the chicken Alfredo until after ordering, and when a replacement dish was requested, it took 30 minutes to come out--even though there was only one other table in the dining room. Refills took so long they didn't arrive until the check, and our waitress disappeared for long stretches of time. It also took over 10 minutes just to get our card back after paying. On top of that, the staff seemed more focused on messing around in the back (you could hear them yelling and joking around) than helping guests. Several people had to wait at the door for about 10 minutes before anyone came to seat them. Use to love Applebee's! They have sure gone downhill from California to Kentucky. This place was dirty and the table sticky. We ordered our food and asked for extra dressing for our salads. Got the salads after a bit of wait. No dressing let alone extra. Waitress says bring it to you right away. They were not busy at all. Well, after at least 5 minutes my husband went and found another employee to get our dressing. Another 5 mins go by, our waitress finally comes with the dressing. She tells us her manager wanted to explain things in the kitchen. If that is true, shame on manager when customers are waiting to eat their food. If not true, shame on waitress. She stated she was new. Ok, we still should not of had to wait 10 minutes for salad dressing well the kids were eating. My salad had old brown lettuce in it. The Asian chicken salad was always the best. I have given up on Applebees and will delete app as well. Restaurant is old and needs a major remodel and better carpet. went in on Saturday night about 7pm. Decent size crowd but certainly not packed, about 10-15 tables full with some people at the bar. waitress was slow to come by but no big deal. Two of us at the table, ordered two French onion soups, one burger and one loaded nachos. 30 min later and still no food. waitress comes by and says food will be up shortly. No tables were getting food. Another 10 min goes by and finally the soup arrives. Its lukewarm. I am starving so I eat mine, hubby sends his back after we interrupt the waitress's conversation. After 20 min and we get our burger and nachos. Burger was smashed and crispy, well overdone. Nachos had very little cheese and the meat looked old and overly cooked. Not to mention we had no silverware so had to find the waitress again just to get silverware. After we were done eating, another 20 min later, she brings his soup back out. Seriously?? We ask for the check and a box for the nachos and ask for more cheese. she brings the smallest to go cup of shredded cheese. I ask her is that's what is on the nachos and she said no it's a cheese sauce. I explained that the nachos are 3/4 left and there is no cheese which means there was not enough cheese to start. She just stands there staring at us asking what she wants us to do. Never mind, I a, so over this place. So 90 min later we leave still hungry with poor service and poor food quality. what has happened to Applebees? The soup used to be the best now it's lukewarm and in a small teacup sized bowl. The service was horrible and as I looked around the restaurant many tables were very unhappy. I won't go back. It's not the first time I have been disappointed by this Applebees but gave them another chance, never again. My recommendation is to go elsewhere. Plenty of other restaurants in Paducah Lao if you're spending money try a different restaurant for your money's worth and satisfaction. read more

This place gets a lot of bad reviews. Sometimes I wonder if it's just service, food, cleanliness. Today they did good. Today I had $1 long Island iced tea "several". Yummy and you can't beat the price. Plus my hotel is right behind here so I'm drinking. I ordered some half priced apps during happy hour. Boneless wings, won ton tacos, chips and salsa. All were very delicious especially the tacos. The bartender Travis was very friendly and attentive. They weren't busy but he made sure I had everything I wanted. The long islands are pre mixed but for $1 who's complaining and I got a good buzz going. Watching football and enjoying some time with the wife. I'm pleasantly surprised and happy. Our server in the bar area, Stacey, was absolutely awesome! Her service was great, remembered all of our random sauces we ordered, drinks on point, food was delicious, etc. Definitely 10/10. Would have asked for a manager just to brag on her but they were in the kitchen helping out I think (even cooler that management actively works to help out their team!) There was another table near us that sat themselves, and then proceeded to complain about anything they could possibly think of, but she handled it super well and was still nice and a great server to them. Nothing they seemed to be upset about was legitimate, but it is what it is. Will definitely be back and request the same server! read more

I watch her ask every other patron around me many times if they were fine or needing anything else while she pointedly avoided even making eye connect with me (when all I wanted was an extra napkin!!). How awful!! I wasn't rude, I hadn't even complained about anything. In fact I tried to make small talk with her but nope that didn't work either. I would understand this if they were busy; however that was not the case. There were very few customers and every employee just standing around catching flies. My coworker and I had a long day, we decided to grab dinner at Applebee's located in Paducah Ky. We decided to order the 2 for $27 Riblets. we wanted the art &spin dip as appetizer that you have a choice instead of two salads. The waitress told us it comes with fries. I thought about the garlic mashed potatoes but finally told her the fries would be ok. Now at no time did the word platter come out of anyone's mouth. We plainly both said we want riblets. To our suprise a plastic soufflé cup of slaw was on our plate when the food was delivered. When we received the bill we split we noticed it was $6 higher than the 2 for $27. The waitress went and asked the manager and she told us it was because we ordered a platter. Well we certainly did not. We both said riblets, and she told us it came with fries. its very unprofessional to slip in a soufflé cup of slaw then slap us with a $3 up charge for something that was never ordered by either of us. Then the audacity of the waitress to argue with us when she knew darn well we ordered the 2 for $27 riblets And points to the tiny writing that shows the $3 up charge. That up charge would be accepted if we actually ordered slaw or she even said oh it comes with fries and slaw. You dont do that to people. We never ordered a platter.
