Terrible steak. They used to be great. I came almost every week, and the steak was great until two weeks ago, and now it's terrible, so dry and tough. I dont know why, maybe they got a new chef? or changed the supplier?

Amanda (manager from Bob Evan's Oxford) is my new favorite person! My Freshman daughter has been sick with a cold since she's gotten to Miami. I had to tell her that Our 11 year old dog unfortunately died today and she was crying in the stairwell cuz her roommate was in the room studying. I tried to order door dash chicken noodle soup from Bob Evan's in Oxford OH, but DoorDash wouldn't deliver it today since they were closing in 30 min. I called and spoke to the manager named Amanda and told her my story and that I was calling from CA. She asked an employee if she paid him $5 would he deliver soup, biscuits and pumpkin pie and then told me it was on her when I tried to pay over the phone. So sweet, it made me cry and I'm still crying about it. I told her I'm coming to Oxford at the end of the month to find her. My daughter said the chicken soup was great and just what she needed and that the pumpkin pie was the best pie she had ever had and she's had a lot of pies in her 18 years! And to top it off Amanda called me back to make sure my daughter got everything and was OK. Amanda at Bob Evan's is my favorite person in Oxford. Please tell her I said that if you see her!

Sometimes they got wonderful fried chicken, but this time is sooo bad, am I eating a stone with a which core?

Their menu is enormous, the prices are fair for the amount of food you get (i.e. a lot), and the people-watching at this location is always interesting (especially Sunday mornings). The wait can be long sometimes due to all the undergraduates who eat here as well as the church crowd, but it will be worth it. Quick note: the coffee is just okay. The food is good enough. It isn't bursting with flavor, but that's not why you come to the Bevans. You come here for slightly greasy and hearty portions of good-enough breakfast and lunch. The fries are not that good. The pancakes are pretty good. The sausage gravy is slightly weird. The food is hit and miss. But again, you come here for the experience. So go.

Yuck yuck yuck. Poor service - clearly more worried about whose table is whose than giving us our food or offering us more drinks, bread, or seeing if need anything. Such Bad food - the vegetables were brown, obviously frozen and refrozen and mushy - the salad veg was Brown and moldy. One side of my fish was cooked, the other side was still cold. The pot roast was ancient and microwaved. She forgot my side of Mac and cheese and that is fine. I am sure it would be bad, too. We waited and waited and finally gave up and left. Yuck. There are very few restaurants here but we will not be back. * added note - the food I did eat made me sick all night. That never happens to me. Do NOT eat the fish there - it is ancient.

Expensive cafeteria food. Miami U staff doesn't know how to cook. Really depends who is in the kitchen.

I started smiling as soon as we walked in. Such a cool and fun atmosphere. Chicago sports memorabilia everywhere you look along with Chicago food favorites on offer. The bar is old and wooden with comfortable seats. It has a really nostalgic feel, like an urban neighborhood pub from decades ago. Plenty of tables, and I've heard rumors of an upper deck that is open at appropriate times. There is also outdoor seating on High Street. The atmosphere is undoubtedly very different on a Friday night when it's packed with upper classmen throwing back shots, but on a weekday late afternoon suppertime I'd say it's family friendly and welcoming to all. (I even saw a sign behind the bar: No explicit lyrics before 9 pm.) There were several staff members at work either making food or behind the bar. They were all quite young, and quite friendly and cheerful. I'm holding off on the fifth star till we get a chance to try the food. We had already eaten and just stopped for a couple of beers (a Truth and a Mich Ultra, on tap). But now I'm writing this I'm getting a serious craving for Italian Beef, so hope to be back soon.

We started with the sauer kraut balls, pretzel with beer cheese, and pickle fries. All were delicious! The pickle fries have a great pickle to breading ratio, will gladly order these again! Would not have been a bad choice - and for sure they have good chicken. But the choice to eat at the Brau Haus was almost like dying and going to heaven. It's a smaller place than I expected. But honestly - get over it really quick. You can not get chicken like they make anywhere I have been - not in Indianapolis. What ever the price I paid to drive there 75 minutes away? It was worth it. We ordered the chicken dinner for 2. And it came with a small portion of slaw..or a salad. Me and the wife are slaw people. And it was small...but really yummy. But not too long after - the star attraction arrived. A large place of chicken, 10 pieces..(not little weenie pieces) and mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans along with a few rolls and butter. The chicken was truly so hot - I had to pace myself eating because you could really see the steam coming off of it. But the skin...and the coating? My grandmother has passed many years ago - but I would have had to tell her she has serious competition. This chicken was surely what they serve if you get lucky enough to end up in heaven. The sides - the green beans and mashed potatoes were crazy good too and plenty warm. Our very pleasant waitress was Dawn and she was there to help with anything we needed. This truly is the tenderest most moist chicken you are going to get. I wanted to enjoy their pie also - but there was just no room in my belly and we were too far from home to cart 3 or 4 big pieces. I plan on taking that trip down I74 on the regular. It's a beautiful drive and quite honestly - Oldenburg is a super great place to visit. And for me - no need to try anyone elses chicken. I know where the best is.

Places like this should be shut down. Save your money go to mcdonald's at least there. They have eggs in a salad. When my wife informed them that we would not be back to have dinner here ever again. When we pulled up, the outside looked a little quiet and honestly the whole town felt kind of abandoned. But the second you open the door -- totally different story. The place was full of life: music playing, kind faces everywhere, and the smell of amazing food. We started with deviled eggs for an appetizer. My dad ordered the ribs with carrot salad, coleslaw, and baked beans. I got the pulled pork with greens, mac & cheese, and mashed potatoes. The food was out of this world. The ribs? They understood the assignment and got extra credit. The meat literally fell right off the bone & perfectly seasoned. I definitely stole a few from my dad's plate. The pulled pork was incredible too -- super tender with no gristle, which I loved. And the sides... oh my gosh. My personal favorites were the mac & cheese, greens, and the baked beans. We finished with the apple crisp for dessert -- so good and easily enough for two people. And the best part? Everything is made fresh. We don't live in the area, but I already can't wait to go back.

As…read morethe name implies they focus on southern cooking with smoked meats, fried catfish and made from scratch sides. They have a small menu but they focus on quality over quantity so everything they have is excellent. On this occasion I got their Hickory Smoked Pulled Pork Entree with 3 sides which for me were mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and kettle chips. The meat was excellent with a great bbq sauce really bringing out the flavour to it. The 3 sides were good too particularly the mashed potatoes. We also got a side of jalapeño cornbread which honestly may have been my favourite part of the meal. I've had some good cornbread before but this was next level delicious with the addition of the little jalapeño bits in there. Our waitress was excellent and took really good care of us so yay for that. The restaurant seemed to have grown inside from the last time I was there which was really great to see and everything was extremely clean. I can't speak highly enough of this gem of a restaurant. Very high recommendation.
