Very good place to go for breakfast. The caramel mocha is soo good - very thick whip cream on top and the drink was really caramely. I got the pancakes - which are very good. And also the shredded hash browns, but they were burnt and were kinda cold. The french toast looked good. Tasted a bit undercooked because it was kinda doughy. The staff is rude, and does not care about curbside service. Ordered through the app showed up at the designated time and called like we were asked to. Said it would just be a moment. 45 min later we went inside and our food was sitting out. asked about it and the cashier just handed our bags to us and walked away. Checked the food and it was cold. Asked to speak to someone about it and was ignored. 10 min later a manager finally came over and when we told her what happened, she said , "well, we're busy" and turned around and walked away. Most of the staff at this location are amazing. The hosts try their best to keep up with busy rushes while juggling bussing tables, cashing out customers, seating tables and taking to go orders. That being said, there is one server (Christine) in particular that is I've witnessed being verbally abusive to the other staff. Today during the lunch rush, the server approached a host and started screaming at her for "not doing their job". Apparently the hosts are supposed to be able to be in 3 places at once according to this server, because the host she was screaming at had just finished bussing off a table of 10 and couldn't seat tables at the same time. Understandably, the young girl was upset and started crying and disappeared for about 20 minutes, then came back and proceeded to do her job. (While still crying!) Several customers witnessed this event take place and the management did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation or approach the server that caused the scene. It is really unfortunate to see management not advocate for their staff and let abuse occur like this. it is NOT a servers job to discipline the hosts. No matter how long they have worked there. I hope Bob's management looks into the situation and reprimands the server appropriately. I wouldn't be surprised if the host didn't return back to this job after today. read more

"Farm Friendly" Well, you know what to expect from Bob Evans, so i am rating it on the scale of its genre, i.e. inexpensive, American, comfort food. I was impressed with the service. The biscuits are really good. It was clean and a good value. I got the beef stew and found it to be tasty. It was cooked well. The stew was tender and easy to pull. The carrots and onion were not overcooked to the point where they did not flavor. The carrots still had a sweetness and the onions still had flavor, but just the right texture. They did nothing wrong, so hey, I'm a fan.... especially with the lack of variety in restaurants in the Norwalk area. read more

One of my worst experiences. We placed a to go dinner online at 4:00 to be picked up at 5:15. I arrived 10 mins early for my order. I waited 15 mins before I was even asked my name for the pick up. My order was not ready until 5:45. Several other to go orders were ready and left before I was given mine. I have a 10 min drive home, all of our dinners were cold, and not everything was correct. I would never leave a bad review except when we called the restaurant their response was "well it was our busy time." If I place an order an hour and 15 mins ahead of time, it should be done. And multiple orders should not have gone out before ours. Last to go order we placed here we waited 20 mins. Very disappointed. Not going back. read more

We had a late breakfast here to celebrate a birthday 5/28. Bob Evans is one of the places we miss since we moved to Florida in 2016 and unfortunately there aren't any near us. Our experience here absolutely hit the spot and made us miss it even more. Everyone ordered their favorites and our food was perfect. The staff was wonderful and the place was immaculate. It also looks like it has been newly renovated, which was always great. We have tried to support many local businesses during this pandemic. Most have been excellent when trying to protect their customers from needless social interaction, from a text when your order is ready to curbside delivery. I was disappointed to learn Bob Evans is not one of them. At Bob's, you must walk in the front door and stand with other customers while waiting 10-15 minutes past your delivery time to take your meal home. Thankfully the food tasted good. read more

I really like bob evens but the one sucked really bad. Right off the bat the waitress was in a huge rush didn't finished taking orders and was trying to leave to get other orders. She kept forgetting to get a stuff like the sauce for our burgers and it wasn't even that busy the waitwas not that long either.The silverware was still very dirty. And the food quality wasn't that great compared to other Bobs restaurants. My potatoes were not cooked all the way still very hard. Last week I came here with my family and waited over an hour, and left without being served dinner. I was told there were problems in the kitchen. Today I reluctantly returned, because my son loves the food. Upon arrival there was a 15 minute wait before we saw our waitress. We ordered pumpkin bread, and they are out. We then ordered banana nut bread, out of that too. I asked why and the waitress stated that they ran out earlier in the day. I asked if they didn't make enough, and she said that there was some in the back, but it's cooling for tomorrow. 25 minutes after ordering, I was just informed they don't have pancakes. Very disappointed in their salads. They used the very whitest part of iceberg lettuce. No nutrition at all as far as the type of greens used. Doesn't even look like the picture advertised in the menu. Heavy on the iceberg and shredded lettuce. Need to use healthier greens in their salads. Most unappetizing looking salad I've ever had. We just left Bob Evans. When we walked in (9:15pm) the hostess, Montaya,was sweeping. She never made eye contact with us - just walked over grabbed 2 menus, put them on the closest table & said here you go. We laughed about it a little. The food was great,our server was good. When we went to pay - Montaya again did not speak to us or even look at us. My husband asked her if she was mad at us. She said it's just been a long day. He told her that she needed customers so she could stay employed. She half smiled & said no - it was her last day & she was leaving for college tomorrow. As we turned to leave - I told her she should say ' Thank you, have a good night'. She just stood there & half smiled again, and stayed silent. I have never felt more unwelcome ever. I chose to spend my hard earned money there, spent enough to pay her wages for 21/2 hours & she couldn't even THANK US! Wake up Bob Evans - the person that you're putting in front of your customers - the first impression they're getting of YOUR restaurant is driving them away! if I could give it less I would. ordered off the 3 course menu and got a soda told the waitress I would be ordering a to go meal. after I was served never saw the waitress again, no refill on my drink had to stop her to order my to go meal. got it home and didn't have what it said came with it, got 2 pieces of fish and a handful of fries, no tarter sauce or coleslaw even asked her for a roll and would pay for it no roll. and they weren't even busy maybe 14 people at the most wont be going there again read more

i havent been to a bob evans in years, but since im in norwalk for the week, and it seems like your only choices are 25 different pizza places, 10 mexican places, and all the fast food you could ever dream of, i figured id give it a try. that was an obvious mistake. instead of getting the cute bigger blond haired girl that took care of the old couple in front of me and seemed to care about her customers, i got some older woman who could clearly care less if she got a tip. i ordered the 3 course meal with the 3 piece white chicken per her suggestion. it was more like 2 pieces of chicken (chicken breasts) with a teeny tiny chicken wing. i guess technically it was 3 pieces, but id call it 2.25... whatever... anywho, she eventually came back to ask if everything was ok, but only after i had waited so long that i finally gave up, sucked it up, and ate the tiny piece of chicken. before i could say anything, like "can i get a refill please?", she was long gone. i never did get my refill. i guess the empty glass on the edge of the table wasnt a big enough hint. maybe not getting a tip will help her get the point? read more
