Google search of a 10% senior citizen discount.

With two of us on a senior budget we like to take advantage of places offering a senior citizen discount these days. After googling Bob Evans and seeing that they offer a 10% discount, we decided to visit the Bob Evans at 6543 Niagara Falls Blvd, Niagara Falls in the early evening hours. We were greeted at the door within a few minutes and seated. The waitress was attentive and she took our order after a few minutes and delivered our food to us within a timely manner. The food was good and we enjoyed our meals. When we were through we were given our bill and headed to the cashier. My husband asked for the senior citizen discount that is clearly advertised on Google and he was informed they do not offer one. My husband advised the cashier that it is clearly stated on Google that Bob Evans offers one along with smaller portion meals for seniors. Again, he was denied the discount. My husband paid the bill and we left, probably never to return again. We feel that Bob Evans is supposed to be "for" the American hard working family but instead we were bamboozled by their company. Why is this discount advertised on a major search forum if you aren't going to honor it?! I've attached a screenshot of our search forum your review. You may want to look into this. Or better yet, start to honor it so you don't have more disappointed customers. Thank you for your time. - A disappointed senior

Honey Butter Chicken With Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Side Of Macaroni & Cheese
    Maria D.

We had come here on a Saturday afternoon at around 1:30 pm. I had settled on the honey chicken with macaroni and cheese on the side, along with the mashed potatoes and gravy. My meal also came with two biscuits, and a side of butter. This was such a large meal, that I couldn't finish everything! The food itself was delicious however, the portion sizes were much too large for one sitting. The restaurant itself was large, with ample seating, and a relaxing environment. It's a welcoming space for families and seniors as well, with large booths and colourful photographs on the wall. The service was top-notch, as our server came to check on us several times during our meal. She was attentive and friendly, along with being knowledgeable about the menu items. Overall, a great meal out!

I ordered the Sirloin Steak, Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. We haven't been to Bob Evans in many years. I was pretty surprised, it was very good for the price. My mom loves the Pot roast here. The main reason for my 3 stars is the greeter was extremely rude. If I wasn't with my mom I would have said something to her but she wasn't worth my time. The attitude was uncalled for. Maybe, she should be in the back doing dishes. It's not a good look.

We came across this place because it was the first exit near Niagara Falls. We came on a Saturday and Sunday around 11am, and it was pretty busy and packed. Many of the locals come to this place for breakfast due to the affordable prices and decent breakfast served. Ambience 4/5 inside decoration was nice, and you can tell that the business is family owned and driven. Service 3.5/5 This place was a little chaotic. But there was an organization to the chaos. Every waiter had her own section, and the waiter was also the person who brought our food from the kitchen. Which is a lot in my opinion, because every time we wanted something such as syrup, or more coffee, or anything. We would have to wait long periods of time before we would see our waiter. Also, our waiter Saturday morning messed up our order, and brought the incorrect omelet. Thankfully she fixed it even though it took another 10mins for the food to come out. Food 2/5 On Sunday, we found about three black hairs in our eggs, and omelets. It was absolutely disappointing and vile. We showed our waiter and was kind enough to ask if we wanted our order to be remade. We simply decided not to eat it or order anything else, in fear of more hair being found in our food. The French toast was delicious, light and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Just eight. For the eggs we asked for an over medium but it was over cooked and dry. The sausages were juicy and not too oily, however the hash browns were a little oily. The omelet had too much oil in it and dry. Plus they completely messed up my order twice. The hash browns with the omelet was crispy but a little burnt. Overall, the service was decent and the food didn't meet the standard of being decent due to the hairs we found in our food and our order being messed up multiple times.

    Breakfast sandwich's.

I'd give zero stars if possible. The service sucks! Took about 15 minutes just to order drinks. And it wasn't busy, they were playing on their phones. Then when the food came it was burnt and cold at the same time. The staff was loud and goofing around, I did not feel safe sending the food back. Never again!

Stopped for breakfast on a Sunday morning and it was amazing. Me and mom had the rise and shine breakfast. Hash browns were golden brown and perfect, scrambled eggs, bacon and biscuits just right. Another family member ordered the double meat protein and the honey glazed bacon and loved it. Forgot to take pics of it all. Our server Brittany was amazing and we had a very enjoyable breakfast.

I walked into the restaurant about 5 minutes to 9 last night a group of 5 walked in about 5 minutes before they were seated and were able to order !! I was told restaurant was closed and was told that I couldn't be served!!! If the restaurant was closed why was the door still open and lastly if it was closed for me why did you serve the people that walked in in front !! I went in this morning before checking out of my hotel to talk to the manager it was same one from last night and said the other people were there a half hour before they closed which was a lie they walked just in front of

We stop here on occasion for breakfast. As chains go, this is a good one. The service is good, and there is not usually a wait. I enjoyed the border scramble and biscuit. It is certainly plenty of food for breakfast. There are also sometimes coupons in in the mail or the paper.

+ Newly renovated! New tables and booths, as well as bathrooms. Looks fresh! - Service was slow. I like this location as it looks newly renovated. The table and booths all look new as well as the bathroom, spic and span clean. I like how they torn down the wall to the other room to open it up. I always receive great service here, and with a smile. This time it was the steak and eggs, all cooked perfectly. The prices are a little higher (for breakfast food), but with the fresh looking dining room and always great tasting meals, it's worth it. Dishes took awhile to arrive, but when they did, they were hot and tasty. You really can't go wrong eating here.

Needed breakfast after the party and since it was on the way home even better. We were able to get seated right away and our food came out really quick. Even with a busy full restaurant. I ordered eggs, bacon and biscuits with a side of sausage gravy for the biscuits everything was cooked to perfection and hot and delicious. My husband had chicken fried steak with eggs and grits. He said steak was cooked well and the grits were delicious. Need to come back soon!!!

Chillin with some coffee until the breakfast. It's been a while since I been here. :/)

Service from the bartender was great. He offered up some suggestions, which I needed because they have a large menu loaded with so many appetizing and amazing looking options. I started with their potstickers... They came out with a hard, fried shell and the dipping sauce went nicely with them. Enough to share, or even enough to enjoy and still have room for an entrée. My main dish was their Chicken & Waffle. This isn't some ordinary chicken and waffle, it's definitely an amped up version, made with unique and interesting ingredients, culminating in great flavors! The chicken was so large and very tender - it was amazing! The bacon and sauce on top went with it nicely, and the chive waffle was great with it! Each bite was definitely amazing! This was a great experience, I can see why they have so many reviews and such high stars, those are well-deserved stars!! Definitely recommend stopping in here!

The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, which made it even more enjoyable. I ordered fried calamari along with single chicken wings tossed in an Asian sweet and spicy sauce--both dishes were flavorful and satisfying. The combination of crispy textures and bold flavors really stood out. What made the experience even better was the service. Our server was amazing--attentive, friendly, and truly great at her job. She made us feel welcome from the start. I always enjoy trying new places, and this visit did not disappoint. If you're looking for an American restaurant near Niagara Falls, this is definitely worth trying. We ended the meal with a delicious dessert, which was the perfect sweet finish to a great experience.

Some of our choices included charcuterie, arugula salad, tamarind shrimp curry, salmon and lemon meringue cheesecake. Assorted Bread: I'm not a bread person, but I enjoyed their bread. The standard roll was good, the Roll with (dill?) was good, and the one infused with brisket was also good. The dips/snacks that came with the bread were perfect complements to the bread. The pickles were confusing, but I enjoyed them on their own. Chef's salad: A good salad is underrated, and their salad was a case of basic done right. I enjoyed the blue cheese the most, since I haven't had it in a salad in a long time. It was a good mix of softer textures provided by the apple, cheese, and greens, while providing crunch via the nuts. Arayes: I'm expecting a crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside pita. I wanted a juicy and flavorful lamb, and I wanted the tahini + tzatziki sauces to be good. I got all that and was pleased. Shrimp Scampi: I was a bit disappointed by the portion size, but I had to remind myself that the lunch special was $16 and I had already gotten bread and a nice appetizer. The shrimps were big, and the flavors were light. I liked the fact that the dish wasn't oily. Some people might find it dry, but I like it. Jagerschnitzel: This was the best bite of the meal, and I regret not ordering it. The pork cutlet was very good, and the gravy helped improve the dynamics of the flavor. I've never had caraway spaetzle, but I must say that I enjoyed it, and the red cabbage didn't taste like cabbage, and it almost felt like a red spaetzle. It's a beautiful dish visually, and an even better dish when consumed. Dessert: I..... was not a fan. I thought it was too sweet. My companions liked it though. Ambiance: I felt very underdressed. The establishment definitely gave a white tablecloth environment where diners were pressured to buy a bottle of wine. I had to remind myself that it's a school, so the students needed to learn a certain standard. A standard that I could see. It might be better if there was music, but I'm not gonna complain about it. Service: Excellent. I could tell our wait staff was nervous. Who wouldn't be? I'm sure he'll do fine in the future. It would've been nice if our food arrived a bit faster, but I understood the need for pacing in these course menus.

My favorite part of dinner was the cocktail; if I hadn't been designated driver I would have enjoyed having this. I can't remember which one it was, but it was my kind of cocktail; very fruity, somewhat sweet. Not fancy-schmancy but tasting very good. The onion rings were the breaded kind rather than the crispy bread crumb kind, they were fine but not standout. The wings... eh. I am a big fan of Plucker's Dr. Pepper BBQ wings but I didn't love these. The char taste was actually overpowering and I expected a bit more sweet to the sauce than it had. The hot honey was also charry and not super sweet. It was all fine, but not something I would crave. The place has a cute casual ambience and our food came out fast, there wasn't a crowd though on the weeknight we were there. I'd come either to drink or because friends really wanted to but otherwise I probably wouldn't request it.
