My first time at this location. We only waited 19 minutes for a table in a Sunday morning. The waiter was fine. Just doing his job. He stuck to the script and nothing more. We ordered the steak tip omelette and a side of hash browns. We did not have to wait long. The food was good and had no problems. I plan on coming back to this location now that I know it's here. Did not get to eat here last evening as waited more than 15 minutes in an almost empty restaurant for service. Our party of 4 was seated and given menus then nothing. We waited ,knew what we wanted but were ignored. The four young women just stared at us when we got up and left. Must say that the service,food,and atmosphere at Chili's was wonderful. My husband and I are visiting from Florida and we're looking forward to a meal at Bob Evans but learned it won't happen at this location. read more

Picked up their Thanksgiving meal again this year and it was delicious! We pre-ordered 4 individual hot meals and everything was ready when I got there. This morning at Bob Evans I was told that I was NOT allowed to purchase a bowl of biscuits and gravy to go, a "comfort" breakfast food that I have ordered and enjoyed for over 35 years. I was allowed to purchase a tiny cup of $6.99, I stood there shaking my head in disbelief..... the waitress went to grab the tiny cup to show me and I said "I'd have to buy 3 just to get the equivalent of the bowl" So to you the consumer, is it fair that a once $4.99 bowl is now $20.97? I had a FREE $25 gift card in my hand and I still refused to order my absolute favorite due to principle and shock. Bob Evans is a hair above Denny's and look at their failing trail, do you really want to follow that path by regulating gravy portions to a tiny cup. read more

I really have tried to give this location try after try. Wrong orders. Missing parts of the order. But this? No. Not again EVER! My mom got the Wild Fire Chicken Salad. When we brought it home she spent five minutes picking out nasty gross lettuce clumps. She took a few bites and then saw this dangling off her fork. Taking the time to thoroughly rinse lettuce shouldn't be out of the norm. No, it's not their fault whomever they purchase lettuce from had a worm in it. I'm sure most places that a restaurant purchases from have insects and dirt in it. That's why you wash it before serving it to your customers!! That's a basic concept in food service. Went there today. Waitress was friendly, but for some reason our food took 40 minutes to arrive at the table. I was aggravated by that alone, but couple that with the fact that there were several other tables who came in after us and received their food before we received ours. We fist went to Bob Evans in Westerville but the hostess said there was a 15 minute wait because there was only one server. So we left and went to Bob Evans in New Albany. The place was busy but we were seated immediately. There was at least 7 servers. We ordered right away. The food was hot and delicious. Our server was very accommodating with checking on our table and refilling our coffee. I ordered the sausage gravy and biscuits and my husband had blueberry pancakes. I'd recommend both. read more

Will not ever go back to this restaurant unless some changes are made with the servers. We were in there yesterday and our server was awful. She took our order and 30-35 minutes later our food showed up lukewarm. She didn't bring the bread my husband and parents ordered and when I literally had to yell at her when she walked by totally ignoring me, she asked for it "oh you ordered banana bread?" I then had to catch her to get butter for them.She never came to see how our meals were or if we needed refills/to go containers for our leftovers. IF the place was busy I could understand slow service BUT there was 2 other tables in the whole restaurant with people at them so what was her issue? I did talk to the manager about it who seemed like she was more buddy buddy with our server than listening to the customer. The manager told us she gave us a discount but after I got home the only discount we got was the military discount. I am not, was not asking for a free meal--all I want is for that restaurant to talk to your servers, make them more attentive to your customers and retrain them on how to treat customers. I last ate at a Bob Evans in Pataskala 18 mos ago. It was not great. I recently moved here from Arizona and my niece and nephew wanted to go to Bob Evans & I agreed to go to this one in New Albany at their request. The service was fast & friendly even tho it was a busy New Year's Day. I had the turkey dinner: the stuffing was perfect as was the thick sliced turkey that tasted like it just came off the turkey breast. Nieces burger was perfectly cooked, as were my nephews pancakes & sausage. His friend had the chicken salad, which was excellent. If Bob Evans has disappointed you in the past, go to this one, as management & staff are tops. read more

A good place when you want breakfast for dinner. I always have to have a 24 hour diner type place in my list of go tos because every now and then, the only thing that will fix a stress attack is a stack of pancakes at 8pm on a week night. It seems like a good place to bring kids to too... very very casual and home style.. reminds me of a Cracker Barrel actually. We don't have these in California from what I have seen, but they make very good breakfast and pie. read more

My company just ordered lunch from this Bob Evans location. Me and another co-worker ordered the combo meals. Her meal was a soup and salad and I ordered a 1/2 sandwich and salad. We had it delivered but my coworker's soup was missing and so was my half a sandwich. We paid full price for 1/2 a meal. We called and were told that due to door dash being the 3rd party delivery service, they could not have our missing food delivered but they could credit the account. Doesn't do me very good now! It would only help when I use their poor service establishment again, which I have NO plans to do so. A good manager would have gotten in their car and drove the food to our location or had the company eat the cost of another delivery. Should have known when there were only 5 cars in the parking lot at dinner time. Service was SUPER slow and the food quality was absolutely horrible. A microwaved meal would have been an upgrade unfortunately. We stopped in with the kids for a quick dinner as we do at least once a week as regulars and the restaurant was about half full. Much to our surprise an hour later, our food still wasn't out. When asked to speak to the manager he told us that they had gotten slammed with free delivery orders and he not only apologized for our wait but comped our whole meal. Giving a star because I wasn't able to put zero. I recently moved to New Albany it was my first time trying Bob Evans. Customer service was normal nothing extraordinary my family and I received our food I ordered the country fried steak I look down and right in my broccoli was a "huge Moth" huge I was in shock so disturbing I have never seen anything like it. Of course you hear stories of people and horrible experiences but this was my first. My husband called for the manager he came over and wasn't too shocked just apologized and said our meal was free. So, basically, I'd advise against ordering anything from this Bob Evans. We've had so many bad experiences. Once the steak (which came with the eggs) disintegrated on the fork (maybe too much meat tenderizer) and it tasted like steak paste. Of course, it was inedible. Today, the smokehouse burger came with absolutely zero onions on it (see picture), very few mushrooms, two slabs of bacon and the greasiest bun ever put into a to go box. Wow, I didn't think anyone could screw up breakfast until I experienced Elija at Bob Evans New Albany. I ordered farm market omelet , no onion add sausage. He didn't write it down , I didn't get the sausage. My wife ordered the same with a side of bacon. Bacon was a no show. He then proceeded to screw up the check which took 10 minutes to fix. I'm a sales rep that caters breakfast or lunch almost everyday of the week. I cater from Bob Evans all over Ohio. I'm only writing this review because not once, but TWICE the sausage in my breakfast sandwiches was undercooked and needed to be thrown out. The first time I chalked it up as a mistake by the cook working too fast but the second time I ordered the sausage "well done" and explained my prior experience. I will not be carrying-out from this location again and would advise others picking up large orders to avoid it as well. read more

I stopped twice in 2 weeks and had poor service both times. I shared my concerns with Bob Evans and did receive gift certificates. My experience can be attributed to poor management. The manager stood there and watched for an exorbitant amount of time and did not thing about the fact that we had not been seen by a waitress. I also had problems with the other Manager being very snarky and arguing about a menu price. If you do even know your own menu, how can you run the place successfully? These were only 2 of the multitudes of issues we had over the two visits. I will go out of way to the other Bob's that have always treated us well. read more
