    Biscuits and gravy.

I stopped in here while traveling through the area. Stopped in for lunch. I don't have too much to say. I was seated immediately, and I ordered breakfast. It was as expected at Bob Evans. The eggs, bacon and hash browns were all good. Nothing to write home about but good. Same with the biscuits and gravy. If you love the meat gravy (as I do) it was really good. If you don't like the gravy, you probably won't like it. Overall I give it 3 stars, it is what it is. Not bad, not great. But you shouldn't be disappointed.

Halfway though meal discovered MULTIPLE strands of hair on and embedded in chicken. Took everything in me to not throw up.

The restaurant is conveniently placed right next to a free 2-hour parking lot that had plenty of spaces open at 8:45am. We were promptly seated after walking in and greeted by our server. She brought us soda and coffee and then took our orders. My fiancé asked for a side of bacon to be on the rare side (flopping), but was told that the chef precooks some items, so he probably wouldn't be willing to make a fresh to order side of bacon. Our food came out really quickly, the side of French toast i ordered was delicious and a much larger size than i anticipated. My fiancé, who claims to be a "pancake connoisseur" said his Chocolate chip pancakes were amazing. The bacon fell short of expectations, but overall the meal was excellent. The prices on the menu aren't insane compared to the size and quality of most of the food items. I think a few tweaks to the aesthetics of the restaurant, and more flexibility by the chef would go a long way. Definitely come in if you're hungry, and looking to avoid breaking the bank for a great brunch.

We ended up at Cracker Barrel because it was one of the only restaurants anywhere near our hotel,…read morewhich is usually how Cracker Barrel happens. Not complaining though -- I've been to Cracker Barrel before and I genuinely love it. Comfort food, rocking chairs, and a gift shop you accidentally walk through every single time? Sign me up. If you have ever been to one, the place is very comforting, and reminds you of taking a wagon train out east. We placed our order and quickly realized our server was probably new. I actually admire anyone jumping into the trenches and figuring things out on the fly, because we've all been there. Unfortunately, he didn't seem to have much backup, and things started slipping through the cracks. A few forgotten items here, a missing thing there -- nothing malicious, just very clearly a learning curve in progress. I do give him credit for the effort and staying polite throughout. When the food finally came out, it was the usual Cracker Barrel situation: portions large enough to feed a small family. We ordered a variety of items -- baked potato, side of broccoli, a NY steak, and I went with the pot roast skillet. Flavor-wise, the skillet was good, but wow... it leaned hard into the salt. Like, one more sprinkle and we'd be in ocean territory. That said, the pecan skillet completely redeemed the experience. Absolutely delicious. Sweet, comforting, and exactly what you want when you're eating at a place known for comfort food. Overall, classic Cracker Barrel vibes: big portions, familiar flavors, a bit of chaos, and at least one dish that makes you glad you stopped. I'd still come back, maybe just with a glass of water ready for that pot roast. Oh and of course to the gift shop that has everything under the sun. I made it out with some candy sticks, some bit-o-honey, since i haven't seen that candy in ages and some other classic candies.

The NY dog tasted better than the Coney dog. The coney didn't taste the way it was expected, but it had a lot of ground meat on it. The egg, hash brown and toast was as expected. The rooster omelet wasn't too bad. The turkey Rueben was okay, would have been better with kraut instead of creamy slaw. The Greek salad was so-so, nothing so special about it. The onion rings were good at least. The woman at the checkout gave me such a hard time for asking for a copy of the credit card receipt, she asked why the itemized isn't good enough. She told me if I want the credit card receipt, she's taking the itemized bill. I said I would still like a copy of both the itemized as well as the credit card receipt. She placed both back on the counter top with a bit too much drama. How lazy, rude, totally unprofessional and unpleasant was the checkout staff member. The table service and food was a 3. The checkout service was a big fat zero! The experience was ruined by one person here.
