I've been to Denny's in other cities before but this one is different. This is a true diner. From the outside it looks like a dining train car has been stationed. Silver chrome exterior, counter stools and booth seats max me feel like I was at Mel's Diner in Happy Days. Waitresses know their stuff, food is cooked to order, milkshakes are made from scratch. We were hungry after a lacrosse tournament and happened to be staying nearby. I recommend it! read more

Always love coming to this Denny's. It looks like an old fashioned classic Denny's diner. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I said party of one and was told to sit where I like. I chose the counter. My drink order was taken right away and I was given a menu. A few minutes later I ordered the pot roast melt. The wait time wasn't very long and there were a lot of people there at lunch time. I was in and out in 24 minutes. The sandwich was HUGE! I could only eat half of it and half the fries. This place is better than your typical Denny's - not just the design of the restaurant, but the food also! We were traveling west and I had seen the road sign for this restaurant and it seemed like easy access to the expressway. We had a very helpful waitress and the service was good and the food came out quickly. I ordered a Wild West omelette and she let me substitute mushrooms for the ham. I also ordered it made with egg whites. My friend ordered a 55+ scramble which is in the senior menu and it came with pancakes and your choice of bacon or sausage. I stood in front of the cash register for approximately 10 minutes waiting to be seated. ( only person in line) After I was seated two other tables were seated and orders taken. After being seated and ignored for 30 minutes, I left the restaurant after suggesting to the person who seated me that he should have followed up on my service. The restaurant wasn't busy ( approximately 20% capacity). I am very disappointed in the lack of service. As a local resident, I have eaten at this establishment quite often in the past, but don't expect to frequent it in the future. read more

Least for me and I'm not really a big Denny's fan having worn them out in school when bland and tired was the word but open later than everyone else was the motivation! Can anyone say "grilled cheese" baby? ...but this one's fun and the kids working here really did a good job all the way around. No passive aggressive quasi hostile millennials to quibble with. Happy and helpful and everything I had was pretty good. I like that. I also happen to like the 50s vibe but I grew up in a time when 50's nostalgia was Big. This diner-style Denny's is super convenient to the Interstate and the gas station across the way has truck parking. It's quite a small location but they still have the usual Denny's menu including their 2-4-6-8 specials. Breakfast time, I had a ham and cheese omelet which was well loaded with ham and cheese. I had them hold the toast and the home fries as I'm still doing a keto diet and that worked out quite well. A little Texas Pete (no ketchup as it's loaded in sugar) and I had a terrific meal. If I could give this a place a negative rating, I would. I have worked in the food industry for 10 years now and I have genuinely never had such a bad experience. Let's start with the fact that we all ordered water, it took 35 minuets to get them. 35 MINUETS. 1. The server (young blonde) was rude as hell, paid no attention, no refills, nothing. She took our orders but was completely lost and had no idea what was going on. 2. It took over an hour to get our food and it was the worst food I've ever had. Ever. To start, we got the appetizer sampler and the tortilla chips were soaked in oil, bendable and wet (VIDEO SCREENSHOTS ATTACHED BELOW) won't allow me to post a video Then I got a burger- pure grease - uneatable I was with 9 others, not a single person finished their meal. When it came to cashing out, the server simply could not split are bills because she couldn't remember who ordered what and because it was taking so long- we left cash on the table and left. Still come here with my friends a lot! I love their vegetarian skillet. It's not as big as some places, but still filling and delicious. Their lava cake brownies are so good too. I love that there's cheap things on the menu but they don't actually taste cheap. The service is usually pretty good, but last time I came our server forgot about us a couple times. Attentive service with a gleaming smile from our server Lindsay made it a wonderful experience at this independently owned Denny's, which is conveniently located off I-94 and next to a Tesla Supercharger. Hands down the best Denny's I've been too!! It's your typical fare, and prices, however, the staff and atmosphere notch this up. The building looks like a classic diner inside and out. There's shiny metal, booths, tables, and a bar for seating. The best thing about the place was the staff. The waitresses were all friendly and helpful. The kitchen cooked our food perfect and it came right out, piping hot! We got refills and extra napkins without having to ask. read more

I just had Denny's new Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, what a disappointment. It had some heat and was a good sized sandwich. It comes with tomato and pickles, with Swiss Cheese. The worst part of my sandwich was that the sauce was put on the chicken breast before the cheese slice giving the cheese a slick surface to slide completely off the sandwich. Being an oversized sandwich and with slick chicken and tomato skewers would have helped a lot. Also it would have been easier to eat had the breast been pounded thinner. read more

This place is absolutely horrible. First off the service was terrible. The waitress had no clue what was going on. We had to repeat our orders to her and she got so much wrong when the food finally came after over an hour it was cold, chips were not cooked, everything was even greasier than we expected. Stopped here while I was charging my car. I'll be honest, I don't usually come to Denny's. It's been years, literally, but since this was the only restaurant, besides the pizza, near the Tesla supercharger, we came here. The restaurant has a classic dive look. It's nice. Ended up having to place our drink order three times with two different people. Took over 20 minutes to get drinks. First try at lemonade was mistaken for water. Second try was LEMONade. After a 25-30 minute wait, whilst the restaurant is less than half full, the waitress delivered four of our the five meals, leaves just to come back around five minutes later to apologize that the kitchen made the wrong burger and it will be out soon. About five more minutes and then everyone had food. The food was delicious. All in all we were apologized to for the delays nearly as many times the staff visited our table, which was a great number of times after we got our food. Food is good and the 50's style diner is entertaining to look at while you wait for your food. Felt a little forgotten once we sat down, took 10 minutes to see a waitress on a slow day. While driving thru Michigan I just happened upon this place since the other place to eat in the area had nothing but bad reviews. Drove down the road looking for the typical Denny's and had thought I made a wrong turn, but there it was a Denny's looking like a old diner. The inside in designed with metal ceilings and uses old fashioned table and chairs, the fifty's look. Had some decent rock music playing in the background. But my only complaint would be the noise level inside, it is load. The acoustics are extremely bad in here, I'm half deaf and I could hear a bunch of girls talking from across the room. It has your typical Denny's food, which is good and plentiful. The staff is personable and attentive, but my reason for the one star reduction, is that they can't get a drink order correct. I don't like ice in my drinks and every time I would ask for a refill with no ice, I got a drink glass loaded with ice. Finally on the last refill, the waitress got it and realized her mistake. Love this location. Staff is awesome. Food is always good and parking is a breeze. We love that kids eat free on Tuesday and Saturday! As in TWO kids per adult! You can't beat a deal like that. I personally love the cheese melt (not on menu, used to be and you can still get it if you ask.) lt's an adult grilled cheese for cheese lovers. Fried cheese sticks IN a grilled cheese sandwich. Absolutely awesome experience from start to finish. After a long drive while traveling, and a very bad experience at a nearby Lonestar Steakhouse (Battle Creek), my wife and I reluctantly chose this Denny's location. To say it was great would be an understatement - it was excellent. The food really hit the spot and the refills were continuous. I highly recommend the double cheeseburger. It is literally twice the size of what modern day "Big Boy" restaurants now offer. The best part of the experience was the service. Our server, Jacob, is the best I've seen in years. Absolutely a people person with a knack for making sure the customer is taken care of. The kitchen staff was equally good and professional to say the least. We had a conversation with the manager (Brad) -- not to complain, but to provide multiple compliments from our experience. Everyone there had their stuff together. Never would've expected that from a diner atmosphere but we WILL go back there again next time we're in the area. We were expecting the regular style of Denny's Restaurant, but the diner look was cute. Anyway.....This is the slowest service I have ever gotten in a restaurant. I even noticed a couple at the counter, who came in after us, were served their breakfast before us. We waited, and waited, and wondered.....How long does it take to make eggs? Never thought I would be inclined to review a Denny's. OKAY, so this cannot be a real Denny's. Denny's are never are never good. In my experience Denny's are where you go when nothing else is open, your working out a sketchy business transaction, you find weird stuff hidden in your food, extremely creepy people, terrible food, food poisoning, ...etc This is a great place bottom line. Friendly attentive staff and great food. Which is really a first for any of my Denny's experiences. It is really family oriented and in a nice convent location. I would highly recommend this. I eat here often. Most of the time the food is good. It's a 50/50 chance of getting good service. When you get good service it's usually really great. When you get the bad service it's terrible. Like tonight: The hostess told us to seat ourselves & she'd follow us there. It took her 10-15 minutes to bring menus & take our drink order. The first server we had was prompt at taking our order. However it took a long time to get our food, a family that ordered after us received their food about 10 minutes before we did. A second server brought our food out (a breakfast dish & nachos). Our visit was decent. We were staying in the Hampton Inn, directly behind this Denny's location and opted to skip the hotel breakfast. This Denny's is set-up like a diner, pretty nice setting. We were greeted immediately upon entering the restaurant and were seated right away. Our server took our drink and food order. She was in training, but overall did a good job. I was a bit disappointed that my coffee cup wasn't exactly clean . I noticed after I had taken a few sips and the coffee wasn't hot, just warm (I skipped the offer to refill). I ordered the Southwest Breakfast skillet with toast and my husband ordered an omelet, Our food arrived a short time later. The breakfast skillet had a really nice flavor, chorizo, bell peppers, onions, mushroom and redskin potatoes, but once again, it was just warm, not hot, even though it is served on a cast iron tray.
