We frequent the Greystone. You can't beat their quick service and great food. My boyfriend enjoys the Rock burger and I haven't been disappointed with: their classic burger, grilled cheese, turkey melt, or the reuben. I usually add a side of their tots for us to split. We were in town from North Carolina on business and I invited my nephew down to eat (He only lives 20 minutes away). We searched around, found Greystone Tavern and new This was the place we wanted to eat. The Ambiance is that of a local tavern, the decor was awesome, and the wait staff was fantastic. Best of all though was the food. We had a Sampler Appetizer, two Reuben Sandwiches, two Smokehouse burgers, all with fries and some cold brew. From the bread to the meat to the sauerkraut to the fries everything was 100% top notch. Juicy, hot and fresh with outstanding flavor. We will surely be there when we come back, and I hope my nephew has found a new place to go. Much thanks to all and the Chef! read more

Love the food and service here! I always get the turkey melt or Rueben, they're both delicious and super filling. I recommend splitting and adding on the onion fries and slaw, both so tasty. Has been awhile. Had a hankering for a burger and was as good as I remember. My patty melt with xtra grilled onions was A1. All elements on spot. When we walked into the place all I could think of was a primitive rest area. The stench was terrible. I was with my service dog which the bartender told me was unwelcome. I had one beer because that was what I came for and food but after seeing in the kitchen I thought better of eating there. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned all week. Maybe added to the stench. If you value your health I wouldn't eat there even if it was free. Wouldn't ever be stepping foot in there again. This place makes a dive bar look like a 5 star restaurant. Don't know what comes below a dive bar but this place would have a hard time qualifying for that. read more

Loved this low key Christmas pop-up bar. If you are looking for over-the-top exploding decor, go elsewhere. The Christmas Story pop-up had just enough fun touches to delight. It also had my favorite holiday cocktail... That was cleverly in a holiday ornament bulb. I choose to eat the peppermint cotton candy separately, rather than pour the drink on top of it and was very happy with my choice! read more

I've lived here in Jackson since 1983. First time coming to Greystone Food was mediocre at best. The worst service I've had in many years.

I've been visiting the Greystone since I was a youngin. My family and I would get the best Smokehouse burgers around. The hometown flavors didn't end with just burgers. Hot Popcorn by the basket! Onion strips and fries, and last but not least the zesty&spicy tiger sauce. To follow up the dinks are generous and the available dining tables are clean and welcoming for you, to seat yourself. Subpar food, not impressive even for bar food, rude waitress which made it a lot worse. Not worth the $30 for 2 meals.

In town for one night and decided to try a local tavern for dinner. Read good reviews on this site and thought, why not. It will not wow you from the outside and isn't much on decor inside, but the burgers are great. We had the house specialty and it was excellent. Came with chips and pickle and was very reasonably priced. Waitress was also excellent. Managed the bar and many of the tables and was very pleasant. read more

The wife and I have been spending most of our Thursday evenings here for the better part of 7 years - It is a very comfortable place to hang out first and foremost. The staff and regular patrons are all pleasant. The (mixed)drinks are some of the best in town and the food is well in line with their motto "reasonably fine dining". They offer daily specials which are clearly marked for all to see and they have multiple TVs on all the time so you can catch whatever sport happens to be on. read more

The food here is Aamazing and affordable! They were all so very kind. Seating was all outside right now due to Covid so we kinda got sat out right in the sun but I could tell they were trying their best to make everything work with what all is going on. They had games outside, had a raffle, came around and passes out snacks all while waiting on your food. Food did take awhile to come out but they constantly updated you and apologized. I believe they were just a little short in the kitchen but I'm sure with all the other great reviews that is not typical of them. Typical hole in the wall bar. It's very small and kind of dark in side. Food is average bar food. Some claim they have the best burger in Jackson, I strongly disagree as there are a few place I prefer Schlenkers, West Point, and McThirstys just to name a few. Drink prices are cheap. I don't mind places like this but if you're looking for a super clean and updated spot then keep looking. This is a bar that serves average food and cheap drinks. read more
