The NY dog tasted better than the Coney dog. The coney didn't taste the way it was expected, but it had a lot of ground meat on it. The egg, hash brown and toast was as expected. The rooster omelet wasn't too bad. The turkey Rueben was okay, would have been better with kraut instead of creamy slaw. The Greek salad was so-so, nothing so special about it. The onion rings were good at least. The woman at the checkout gave me such a hard time for asking for a copy of the credit card receipt, she asked why the itemized isn't good enough. She told me if I want the credit card receipt, she's taking the itemized bill. I said I would still like a copy of both the itemized as well as the credit card receipt. She placed both back on the counter top with a bit too much drama. How lazy, rude, totally unprofessional and unpleasant was the checkout staff member. The table service and food was a 3. The checkout service was a big fat zero! The experience was ruined by one person here.

I have so many memories from being a kid, to dates with my husband and now looking forward to the first visit when back in town. We both got 2 coney dogs and root beer. I had the onion rings while the hubs had fries. One thing I love about Rudy's is they do not skimp on the coney sauce and I have no shame in saying that I could just eat it with a fork. lol Their root beer is perfectly creamy and has just the right amount of "bite". I can neither confirm nor deny that we returned later in the day to get a Boston cooler (Vernor's float) and a cream beer. If you are a local or visiting the area, you must check them out. They only accept cash but have an ATM on site. Service is by car hop and they have picnic tables that you can dine at if you don't want to eat in your car. I see another trip in the future before we leave even if it's just for a brown cow or another Boston cooler. lol

Food is really good and I love the beef tallow that's used for fresh cut fries. Now the part that was bad is the owners apparent attitude towards the Albion community. I have been there several times and each time he's barking about the people of Albion. His temperament is not right to be a business owner. He should stay in the kitchen and not come out where he can be heard. The building is decorated ok although he may want to consider remodeling its old and dated

Once upon a time, two women with a half-century or more cumulative experience in the service…read moreindustry walked into Mancino's. It was not their first time in the establishment. Their waitress was inattentive to the point that they were forced to chase her down. When their friend arrived, said waitress approached the table and asked if the newcomer wanted a plate to share in the pizza. When she was told no, she immediately turned and walked away instead of asking the newcomer if she might want a drink: again, the customers were forced to chase her down. Her excuse, as she looked at the customer as if she were some sort of insect in her lipgloss tube, was that she thought the newcomer had just come from another table--where on earth did she get that idea? Emily, said waitress, CLEARLY had no time to wait on women whom she felt for some reason were not worth her time nor the generous tip she would have received had she not acted like she was in a hurry to get rid of said customers. She did just that when she realized she had screwed up but wanted to assume zero accountability. Thank you, Olivia, for taking over. Training tip: Emily might be young and BLONDE, but elders sisters are more experienced and might teach her a thing or two. A few crow's feet does not make us insignificant nor unempowered. Men who objectify you are not the only ones who tip. How does this reviewer know? Because 40 years ago another older woman taught her this lesson when she had made the same mistake. Pay attention: to your tables, your customers, and your attitude. As for Mancino's in general, this restaurant has quality food, great cocktails, and hard-working staff otherwise.
