Well, I think that Bob Evans is slipping. I waited 30 minutes after I placed my order before my lunch food came. When I placed the order there were a lot of empty tables. The food was OK. Alexandria, my waitress was very attentive. However, the service was slow probably a hold up in the kitchen, the bathroom was filthy, and the air conditioning was jacked way up so that I felt like I was in a freezer. Ordered a turkey with stuffing , mashed potatoes and green beans with turkey gravy I asked for the green beans to be on the side and this is what I get total pig slop no mashed potatoes and they gave me beef gravy. The manager was so busy talking with her staff about their breaks that she neglected to follow directions and put the green beans on the and on top of it the turkey was so dry it's uneditable this place needs to be shut down used to be a good family restaurant. Food was really good today. First time at a Bob Evans in almost 10 years. Just relocated here from the Northeast and the food was just as I remembered. Our server was amazing. My bill says my server was Zowie but my tired brain thought our server's name was Robin when I commented on her excellent service to the GM. Robin or Zowie you were very amazing this morning. ,I like the quality of the food for the most part , but since Covid things have not always been very consistent . I like one of the big salads , but quite often parts of it are missing like the pecans sometimes the cheese. If it is done according to the description in menu , it is a great salad. I like to get the side salad quite often as w ell and it has gotten much smaller lately. It seems to depend on who is working that day, I feel. I will continue to eat their food , t I hope they start to be more consistent. Someone needs to be watching how they are prepared and fixed for take out through Door Dash or Grubhub. read more

I stopped in here while traveling through the area. Stopped in for lunch. I don't have too much to say. I was seated immediately, and I ordered breakfast. It was as expected at Bob Evans. The eggs, bacon and hash browns were all good. Nothing to write home about but good. Same with the biscuits and gravy. If you love the meat gravy (as I do) it was really good. If you don't like the gravy, you probably won't like it. Overall I give it 3 stars, it is what it is. Not bad, not great. But you shouldn't be disappointed. read more

I went to Bob Wvens around 9am for take out ordered the pancakes wit a fruit cup. Place was busy due to holiday weekend. The blueberry pancakes were not that good. They were very dense not light and fluffy. The taste was off. I've had blueberry pancakes from BE before and was very pleased with them but this order today was not the best. Our food was not cooked well. The toast was over cooked to the point of being crunchy. The meat in the omelet was overcooked. The scrambled eggs were overcooked as well. The edges were hard. We struck gold when we stopped in here for breakfast while travelling I94. Our server was sunny-side up! She was bubbly, cheerful and great at her job. I think her name was Christy, but our ticket says Rhonda. Just ask for the girl who made her own bacon and egg hair clips! That's a girl that loves her job! And I love Bob Evans for their biscuits, eggs and gravy. Always tasty. I've eaten at several locations in more than one state and they can always be counted on for a great breakfast and great service. Bonus: the banana bread available for $5 a loaf is out of the world good! Take one or two home. Toast on top of the stove with a little pat of butter. Really unorganized. This place was being run like there was one manager and everyone else was brand new being trained. I ordered carryout on a night when it was pouring rain, and I obviously wasn't the only one who had that idea. There were a couple other people in there when I walked in, and I walked up to the counter where there's a sign that says "Carry Out Pickup" (or something to that effect). I waited for about 10 minutes before being acknowledged, even though there were a couple people behind the counter. Finally, someone asks if I'm here to pick up, and then tells me I've been waiting in the wrong spot- you're supposed to pick up at the register, not where there's a sign that says "pick up here". While I was waiting, I eavesdropped on the conversation between another woman and the lady behind the counter. All I heard her say was, "I assumed since I ordered it with the rest of my food that it would be ready with it 45 minutes ago." Yikes! Glad I only had to wait 10 minutes... It took two people to ring me up, because the girl at the register had no idea what she was doing. Popped in here after driving in from Florida. My boys and I were starving and our waiter Joey came to the table within minutes of being seated for our drink order. I explained our starvation issue and asked to order everything at once... there was a hitch.... we are a food epi-pen worthy allergy family. Always nervous about my son's peanut treenut allergy I always double check the oil situation with his fries. My son is spec needs, he's not verbal and would not be able to communicate a problem. Joey double checked the kids meals we order and promptly came back that we were good to go. My order was a bit more challenging. The sirloin steak smothered with mushroom and onions was what I ordered, I am highly allergic to mushrooms. Joey came back out and explained how everything was going to be cooked, then Christopher the chef came out and explained it as well and how my steak specifically was going to be cooked completely separate from everything else! I came to visit from California, and right of the bat our waitress Lacy was FANTASTIC! She went above and beyond to make sure we were good and our baby was happy! Fast forward to the end of the meal.... I accidentally left the restaurant without my Invisalign retainer ‍ when I came back of course it was thrown out because it blends in so well! The worst excuse for service I have ever experienced. Three of us and not one meal was correct. Had to go to the counter to ask for the items not received. Burger was so overcooked it was hard. Water requested, as well as sour cream, not brought to us. Whole hog had wrong potatoes and no bacon. Ordered soup with chicken dinner, not received, nor were the biscuits that came with it. When the manager came to the table, he gave me a $2.00 discount... My soup, for the record cost more than that. Then, they just avoided the table. I have never had a more disappointing experience, anywhere. Tasha and Christopher could use a customer service class or two. Absolutely disgusted with the service we received. This one has a bright and spacious interior, quick service by waitperson and server with "HOT" food (not setting in window waiting to be delivered to the customer). Employees not standing around in conversation with one another, but getting food out to the customer or busing tables soon after the occupants departed. Bob Evans has always been one of our favorite restaurants. Since we moved to the South locations are not as prevalent as they are in Michigan and we miss it. Tonight we are up visiting family and stopped in for dinner on the way in. This location didn't disappoint! Casey was our server and she was terrific. Kudos also to the cooks in the kitchen. The pot roast was amazing! Just as tender and juicy as I remembered and came out quick and hot! The restaurant was clean and well maintained signs of a great management team. Today's experience was terrible. We waited a long time for a server to even take our drink orders, Our table must not have be assigned to a server. When we finally got our drinks, the server said he was going on break and another person would be taking over. We did not see her for a long time, not for bread, not to give orders, nothing. I went and asked to speak to the Manager, and he is the only one who truly served us. No refills on drink, no cranberries with my Turkey dinner, a toasted cheese sandwich with VERY little cheese. Today was the worst experience I've had at this bob evens the table behind us hasn't been clean in about 45 mins the table next to us about 20 mins. These people here tonight do not care about what this place looks like or how their customers feel about how it's been kept up and my boyfriend and I have been sitting here for ten minutes done with our food and no one has came over to give us or bill.
