Nice place owned by a loving couple Good, scrumptious, food arrived on time. Nice decor. read more

We were seated and our order was taken immediately. I had the best cinnamon roll! I could have eaten the roll without the topping, the dough was tasty, not claggy. The blueberry pancakes, bacon and French toast were as tasty as I would make it home. This place is an unapologetic throwback to the diner I worked at 40 years ago! The decor is timeless. The interior is clean and neat. This is the place you can go to for a daily home cooked meal and eat with your brethren. read more

The food is always great and the service is very nice and friendly.it is a pleasant atmosphere in there and I will say even when they are very busy they still try to let u know there will be there as soon as possible. read more

I always try new places when out in the field for work. This was in the area and seemed good. I got the Grifters Grub (I believe) and it was good. Hasbrowns were golden and toast slightly burnt. Good food for good price. Small cafe, so be warned about seating. Service was good, nice lady. It's got a laid-back attitude. Don't expect a rush. read more

This quaint little breakfast spot won't disappoint you. The atmosphere is homey, the service was great! We were seated almost immediately and were served coffee and water within minutes of sitting down. We ordered and had hot, fresh food within 15 minutes of placing our order. The staff was very attentive and friendly. read more

Was looking for a good local breakfast place and this place did not disappoint! Went on a cold rainy morning but it was warm and cozy inside. We seated ourselves in a booth and our server came over right away. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered omelets and split the berry pancakes. The food was very good. Those pancakes were unbelievably amazing! You have to try them. Coffee was great. Even the water was delicious! Prices were not bad at all. Service exceptional. Highly recommend! Next time I will try lunch there! read more

Would give less stars, I was really excited to stop in and have breakfast. Two empty tables that needed to be bussed and was told we have no more tables at 9am. Rudest food service person ever!!!! read more

I found myself with a couple extra hours in the morning in Jackson, so I decided to have breakfast at The wooden spoon. The breakfast was tasty. I had a specialty try Berry pancake which was a single pancake with lots of berries in it. The waitress gave me an extra syrup for the end of the breakfast which get the spot. I also ordered a side order of bacon and a side order of sausage. Maybe I should have passed on these. Although the bacon was crispy and the sausage was cooked just right. I thought that charging about $5 for three pieces of bacon and $5 two sausage Patty's was a little outrageous. It was a nice breakfast and the service was good, it took half an hour before it was served, and I probably wouldn't order bacon and sausage next time. read more

Wooden Spoon - $19 plus a $5 tip, for one pancake, coffee, 3 strips bacon and 2 sausage patties. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Jackson, Michigan

Amazing omelets and the owners are awesome people that take the time to chat with the customers.

Wooden spoon is a quaint country diner with great food and attentive staff. The omelet ingredients taste very fresh, and the hash browns are perfect. Men's room is clean but lacks a mirror. Decor and general vibe is nice but could use some background music so it doesn't feel like everyone in the restaurant can hear you. Will stop by again for breakfast in the future. read more

This is where the locals go for breakfast and lunch. Straight up good food at honest prices. Family owned and operated for years. Everyone from the area knows and appreciates the Wooden Spoon. read more

I left hungry every time. Even tried ordering the hungry man french toast and still left hungry. The food is good but portions are small.

The Wooden Spoon is an amazing breakfast joint!! The owners are fabulous humans. It is well loved by locals. The omelets are always so light and fluffy, even after being told "the secret" I can't replicate it at home. Getting onion in the hash browns definitely elevates them. My sister loved the pancakes she had. I like their special board. read more

Bland food, barely cooked corned beef (basically an uncooked mush). French toast was layerd in eggs to the point of why did I get a side of eggs too. Only thing that was good to me was the toast and my partners berry pancake. It's your basic hometown cafe food. Nothing special or worth 4.5 stars. Service was great, and everyone was nice but the food just wasn't to my liking. read more

Decent little place off of King Road. The omelette was good and so were the hashbrowns. Disappointed that the omelette didn't come with the hashbrowns though. Still, the food and service were good and I would recommend this place for breakfast. read more

It feels like time when you enter into this restaurant! Food is great! My favorite is breakfast!! Service is airway great! Nice environment!

This place is my all time favorite breakfast spot. It feels like home, the staff feels like family and the food is absolutely wonderful. I've never liked an omelette anywhere to the extent of the ones here. read more

I could go on for DAYS about how awesome the Spoon is. I love this place from the bottom of my heart (and belly too!). It is ran by a wonderful husband and wife who really care about their customers beyond making sure their food tastes good.... My favorite here is the Gaffer's Grub breakfast. Meat, potatoes, 2 eggs, and toast. If you're starving it is sure to fill you up, however there have been times I have taken a box home. They have a great muffin toast. The pancakes are out of this world too!!! I always have to have one when I go. They are everything a pancake should be! Finally, the coffee (which is also fantastic) is in a pot left on the table. I love being able to fill my cup as I'd like! Seating is first come, first serve. They have some booths but what I really like are the kitchen tables you would find in grandma's house. Small or large, you and yours are sure to fit. CASH OR CHECK ONLY! read more

Been coming to the Wooden Spoon for roughly 40 years. Loved the Mickey Mouse pancake as a child, and the omelettes now. Always loved the river out back. I remember as a child saving half of my breakfast to feed to the fish in the river. The last time we were here my husband Saved his toast for me to feed to the fish. He's the best. read more

Best omelette in the entire country! Disclaimer... I have been coming to the Wooden Spoon my entire life (this review is long over due!). They have amazing breakfast! The omelettes are top notch! The decor is hometown comfort, kid friendly and to be honest not much has changed in the past 30 years... Which is nice! I highly recommend the Wooden Spoon if you are in the area. read more

Good food but the workers do not wear masks so my family and I felt very uncomfortable being there.

This is a great place to stop for a taste of local flavor. It's also a great place to grab a quick bite with close friends because it has a very intimate atmosphere. It's definitely worth a stop. read more

I've been going to the Wooden Spoon on and off for years and both love it and have found it to be universally loved. The food is great, although fairly standard American breakfast food, and affordable, the service friendly, and the atmosphere very comfortable and warm. Unfortunately the Wooden Spoon's only open through lunchtime and only one can only pay by cash or check, but it remains a great place to eat at and an even greater place to hear all the township gossip if the township supervisor and local police happen to be having breakfast when you are ;-). read more

They have the most scrumptious omelets! You can have them made like a normal omelet or scrambled. THEY ARE SO GOOD!!! The staff is quite friendly and the cook (who I think is one of the owners), will make whatever you want to order. He is fantastic! We try to eat there as often as we can on Saturday mornings. You all shouldn't miss a chance to dine at the Wooden Spoon! You will want to go back again and again! read more
