Robin's Nest - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Eaton Rapids, Michigan

Always been a busy restaurant yet always so quick with service and foods always been good without issues.

Such a nice little place! The owner was so great & made us feel at home... so much so we came back the next morning for breakfast! Yum!

Ahh! The Robin's Nest! Now this is a place to talk about! For starters, this is a place where everything is homemade! The portions are like as if you went back to 1975! You really get your moneys worth in this place! The food is to DIE FOR! Everything tastes like grandma's cooking! I am a southern guy, and this is the closest thing you'll come to as being country cookin in the lower peninsula! There are so many different breakfast/lunch options! It's not open for dinner, so make sure you show up early morning/afternoon! The history of this place is crazy! The original building burned down, and they had to rebuild it from foundation! They have a huge mural on the wall that nods to that event. The staff are so friendly! It's like as if you walked into your own kitchen and people were happy to see you. That's the big charm of Eaton Rapids! Everyone is so damn nice! The restaurant is pretty decently sized. And plenty of parking out front. I would suggest calling ahead if you are bringing a group. This place is a MUST GO for anyone who's in the area! read more

Good, basic diner food. Can get pretty busy. Most off-putting part is being stared at by the large table of regulars that occupy the space on the reg. read more

We've been for breakfast twice and lunch/brunch once. I really enjoy some of the creative combos for food. Our most recent trip I had a skillet with potatoes, green peppers, onions, cheese, and fried chicken. It was so satisfying! Definitely save room or share a cinnamon roll with someone. They are huge, but tasty. They can get really busy around breakfast and on weekends. Add time for your trip. read more

Robin's Nest - Get a grilled cinnamon roll and let her drizzle it. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Eaton Rapids, Michigan

Amazing home cooking! Large portions. Down home service. Cute murals throughout. I saved the best for last (but order it first because they may run out) their AMAZING cinnamon rolls! They come in two sizes and the large fills a platter! It's comes warm and swimming in icing. My coworker and I ordered a large to split, not knowing the treat we were in for. They were out of small. He couldn't finish his 1/2 because he said after eating all but four pieces that it was too sweet, so I finish mine and his! I'm not from the area so I plan my area weekday meetings for any day but Monday because they're closed on Mondays. I highly recommend it and not just the cinnamon rolls. I've had omelets and pancakes too. Coffee is always fresh and hot. Enjoy! read more

Good food! Huge portions! Good service! We go there almost every weekend. You might have to wait a few minutes at the door for a seat during peak times but it's worth it read more

Lunch was tasty. I had only enjoyed breakfast here before. The waitress was very friendly. The owner, Robin, was even enjoying a meal at the table next to us. read more

Good old fashioned diner. Wait staff was friendly and food was good. It was a very busy time when we arrived, but we were seated promptly and immediately had coffee at the table. Nice to have an option that isn't fast food for breakfast. read more

This is a hometown favorite for all my family. And a must for family to come to when visiting across the US. Love the breakfast but everything is fantastic. read more

Robin is an excellent cook but an awesome lady with a huge heart. My late father loved to eat there so I asked her to prepare the meal for his memorial service & it was perfect. Thank you for all you do Robin. read more

Food is amazing especially their skillets or biscuits and gravy. The staff have also always been very kind and attentive. However their owner Robin seems like a nice woman, but can be VERY intense. Their hours also aren't the best, but I can understand why since their menu is mainly breakfast and lunch food. However these small issues aren't a huge deal, and I still will plan to stop in, here and there. read more

The food was very good, and plentiful. Service was exceptionally good. This is a local family restaurant.

My mom wanted me to try this place last time I came to visit her and I can't wait to go back. Breakfast better than your mom made, great portion sizes, I left stuffed and happy. read more

Let's be realistic, you don't walk into a place like this and expect five star service. But a person should expect promptness and competency. I suppose the regulars have more time for lunch, but I don't, not on a busy Tuesday. It took nearly 30 minutes for my skillet to come out, with the restaurant half empty. This just doesn't work for me. The food itself was nothing special either. Dried out chicken, under cooked onions, too much cheese that clearly came from a bag. I wasn't impressed when my bill had to be corrected either, as I'd been overcharged for an item. Their menu is also plastered with "no substitutions" in bold print on every page. The only good part of the meal was the toast, which a homemade taste to it and was generously buttered. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Great food and portions. It's our goto breakfast restaurant. Always had great experiences with the staff.

The absolute worst cinnamon roll I've ever been served. I never though a cinnamon roll could be so tough. I couldn't cut it with a knife. The only part that was edible was the frosting. read more

Went there for my birthday what a big big mistake , had no sugar free syrup no cinnamon rolls .She said they ran out , sounds to me bad management read more

The absolute worst cinnamon roll I have ever been served. It was a HUGE mess of the worst dough you can imagine. I never though dough was tough but the cinnamon rolls here are tough as nails and the cost is a mere 7.95 for a cinnamon roll. I had a patty melt that was very good. Just stay away from the cinnamon rolls read more

I come visit from california a couple times a year and I always eat at Robins Nest. Robins nest is a great local breakfast place. The potatoes are cut here, not frozen, and the bread is thick cut and from a bakery, awesome, eggs are cooked great and the prices are good. This is a farm to table breakfast spot and it's always great. In California this kind of breakfast would run about $20 a person. The service is always friendly. read more

Brought the whole family of ~15 with very short notice. Very accommodating. Great service. Home town feel and good food. Breakfast skillets, pancakes, big breakfast plates, all good! read more

My favorite place for a quiet breakfast with my friends. The food is amazing and the service is great!!!

You really have to want to eat here. The food is at best average for a small town like most of the other reviewers agree. The biggest problem that happens to this place is the service is way to slow. Even for a mom and pop restaurant. Does it really take 30 to 40 minutes to make a skillet breakfast that is already frozen? The biscuits and gravy is terrible also. How can sausage be pink? If you cook it sausage usually turns grey after it is cooked. One of the other biggest problems most people say about this place is that they never seem to be open. Which is more than proof when you show up at 3pm on most days and the doors are locked. If you have the time go further in town and try one of the other restaurants. I am sure you will find a much better experience food wise there. read more

This is a delightful small town restaurant, with a large heart, good service and great food. The thing that stands them apart from most restaurants in the area, is their open and welcome bravado, regardless of how you look and how many you have. I've had breakfast here many times, food is always great and fast. The staff is always checking on you. If your passing through town, swing out a little farther by passing the lackluster restaurants in town, and visit this gem of a restaurant read more

This place is amazing! The food was impeccable, the customer service was excellent, and the esthetic was very great. Overall the Robins Nest flys over the competition in the food market! read more

The Andy burger is sooooooo good! Its an over the top olive burger with bacon. When I am in the mood for a burger, this is where I go. The best olive burger I have ever had! Make sure to get extra napkins cause its messy but I dont mind, its that good. read more

Very yummy biscuits and gravy. Cute little place. Very short staffed, you have to wait along time for your food to come.

We always enjoy our meal at Robin's Nest. The atmosphere is warm, servers are friendly, food is home style and nice portion sizes.

We had not been to this restaurant since it got remodeled after their fire a few years ago. That was our loss because our dinner here yesterday was delicious! I had a fabulous salad that I had to partially take with me it was so large and so fresh! My husbands olive burger was delicious. We will be back and would recommend this nice, clean family establishment. read more

got the stomach flu from eating a cheeseburger & fries & it was dirty in there tbh felt like i was eating in somebody's garage

Awesome breakfast and make a great Ruben too, good service and will be going back again...

I will never understand the allure of this place. I have never had a meal that was better than average and the wait staff is incredibly slow. The last time I went, I ordered a steak cooked medium rare and it came out like show leather. That was, and always will be, my last visit there. read more

Great service and great food, who could ask for more. Our church group eat here weekly and love it.

Not a big fan of this place. The rectangular floor plan & atmosphere is pretty lame as well. Mostly locals frequent here I think because of very limited options in Eaton Rapids for a sit down cooked meal. Have only had breakfast here but it's sub-par at best compared to other breakfast joints in Charlotte, Jackson or even Leslie. Had to wait for our order again for some reason and it wasn't that busy. And to top it off it wasn't even that hot so we asked to have it reheated. Our waitress was apologetic but the owner Robin copped an obvious attitude over our request and never said a word when she brought it out to our table. Just dropped it off and walked off. We gave this place another chance after our last attempt here was less than satisfactory but apparently it is what it is. This place won't be getting any more money from us I can tell ya that. We'll drive to Charlotte Eaton Place for breakfast before we set foot back in this birds nest. read more

We ate here once. The food was okay. My biscuits and gravy were cold. Prices were good. I would go back, but my husband refuses. Since we discovered River Side Cafe, there is really no need. read more
