Waste of time and money! Hostess was rather unhappy to been working. Eggs were ok. I ordered the new cheese hashbrowns and they were AWFUL! Bad taste and lumpy texture. Topped with some greasy corn flakes. I asked for regular hashbrowns and they were just as bad on a different leve. Dried out and no taste. My sausage links were so overcooked, i could not even cut them, let alone eat them. The brioche french toast was nothing to write home about regarding flavor. They arrived cold, and to make things worse the syrup was cold also. Coffee was good, but i was never offered a refill. Total bill was about $14 with tax and tip....way too much for a sub par meal. It's Bob Evans. So if you come here you know you're getting basically fast food in a sit down restaurant. So don't complain over it! Having said that, the service was excellent. Our waitress brought over our food and drinks were refreshed quickly. My colleague ask for to-go cups for both his Coke and his coffee, and she was happy to bring them over filled. Don't ask, he drinks a lot of caffeine. I got the cup of oatmeal which is frankly a bowl. I made the mistake once of getting the bowl, which is basically a Pan of oatmeal. So unless you're really really hungry, I would suggest you get the cup size. You can add Brown sugar, raisins, nuts to it. The nuts are coated in sugar, which didn't make me super happy but Hey it was good. read more

This review is regarding our service on 9/16. I'm a fan of Bob Evans, and I've been to other locations and been happy with the food/service. I stopped in for breakfast with my family. It started off fine, but we noticed that our food was taking an abnormally long time. Also our waitress was pretty attentive at first, but then she kind of just disappeared. Finally my MIL went to go find someone to ask what happened to our order. After she came back to our table, our waitress came back falling all over herself apologizing, saying it wasn't right that we had been waiting so long, she was going to talk to the manager to figure out how to compensate us, etc. That made me feel a little better, but I wish she would have kept us updated instead of basically ignoring us for half an hour. The food finally came out in stages (as in, me and my husband's food first, wait a while, then everybody else's). It was cold to the touch, not fresh, and tbh sort of gross. My husband's eggs had that plastic-ish texture they get when they've been sitting out too long. To their credit when we asked them to remake some of our food, they did so promptly. I also had to ask them to correct my order; I ordered banana bread and they brought me wheat toast instead. We asked the waitress why we had to wait an hour on our food, and she said the front of house messed up and seated too many people at the same time, and the kitchen got slammed with a bunch of orders all at once. After we got our food, we were honestly very close to walking out. We waited over an hour to get cold food. But it was a Sunday morning and we didn't want to go wait somewhere else, especially because we had a 7-month old baby with us. My MIL went and tried to speak to the manager. He told her he was very busy at the moment, but he'd come to our table and talk to us "in a few minutes." He never came. There was a discount on our bill, but I'm not sure how much it was (my uncle picked up the tab). Very disappointing. Will not return to this location. As we were leaving, we could hear the table next to us complaining that they had been waiting an hour on their food, so I guess it wasn't just us. read more

I went here because it's near my hotel and I was in the mood for some breakfast comfort food. I sat the "bar" and ordered the Country Fried Steak with eggs and hash browns and grits. Everything was really good. The serving of grits was too much - when it's a side dish, I feel like it'd be more appropriate to serve maybe half a cup, instead of a whole bowl. I could only eat less that half of it. The server was very attentive and friendly, and the staff seems to be in good spirits. My food came out six minutes after I ordered it - Super fast! This is a standard Bob Evans although it looks a little bit worn. I ordered breakfast takeout and arrived a few minutes after it was supposed to be ready but still had to wait because the kitchen had plated the meal instead of packing it to go. The food was done to the specifics of my order and nothing was missing. The group at the checkout was a delightful group of servers who were obviously having a good time working together. It's always nice when you go into a place and can tell the people working enjoy being there. There is certainly nothing that stood out in terms of food quality but it was a friendly interaction and a good basic breakfast. read more

There seems to be some deep incompetence at this location. The food is fine, but every order done through Door Dash ends up with one or more items either missing completely, incomplete, or wrong. And I don't think the problem lies w/ the Door Dash platform, because the receipt stapled to the bag is inevitably correct and matches the online order, but the content is wrong. This place was great. Came up to Cleveland for a Browns game. Never have been to Cleveland before, but I've always heard it's a rough city. Not true. Downtown is stunning and i didn't feel unsafe what so ever. We went to the breakfast place next door and they were taking just a little too long, so we re-evaluated and came to Bob Evans instead. If I could review with zero stars, I would. I ordered two fried chicken dinners tonight to go around 4:25pm. I was told it would be ready at 4:59pm. I went in at 4:45pm when I arrived just to wait inside and my food was already ready, packaged, and sitting in its bag on the counter, so I was already wondering how long it had been sitting there / if it would still be hot. When I got to the car, I opened the bag to check my food and was extremely disappointed in my meals. They put the gravy on the mashed potatoes and left the green bean juice in the container so my food was sitting in gravy & green bean water, it wasn't hot, and my FRIED chicken was soggy, wet, and dripping. You can also clearly tell the two pieces of chicken are very different chicken breasts. Nothing on the fried chicken was crispy and the chicken was also cold. I went back into the restaurant to ask for a refund and was told there was nothing they could do, I wasn't specific enough about my issues with the food, and that they'd have to take down my card information and name and someone from "payroll" would reach out about a refund but since it was 5pm on a Friday they'd be gone for the weekend already and I couldn't hear anything until Monday. The worker was extremely combative and had a terrible attitude and never even looked at my food when I was talking about what was wrong and never apologized. He dismissed me by telling me that was all he could do and was actually saying that while already walking away from me with his back towards me. I'm disappointed with the food, I'm disappointed with the customer service, and I absolutely will not be eating at this Bob Evan's EVER again. If you're looking for good food and good service, you should go literally anywhere else to eat. read more

Honestly, I haven't had worst service ever! Waited for a table for 10 minutes and their were tables open and clean everywhere. Water came to the table with coffee grounds in it. Our server, Lisa, was no where to to be found after taking our order. A different person delieverd our food and we had to ask the "retail leader" for our check. THIS IS THE FIRST BOB EVAN'S TO EVER OFFER ME THE WILDFIRE RANCH DRESSING TO GO! Whenever I come to Bob Evan's I order one of their salads. Whether it is the lunch soup/salad special or ordering the crispy chicken salad I ALWAYS order it with the Wildfire Ranch dressing. This is truly one of the BEST salad dressings in my opinion (right next to Olive Garden's Signature Italian Dressing but you can find that one in the store). At this establishment I ordered the lunch special this time. As always, I ordered the coffee. I also ordered the chili for the soup which was hot and tasteful along with the salad. For $7.99 that is quite the deal for a meal! After the meal, I tried something that I have done before. I asked for their Wildfire Ranch dressing to go and they gave it to me! Usually I am told they cannot but this establishment gave me some to go! I was SO impressed! Thank you! On a recent trip to Cleveland, I was looking for that trendy breakfast spot (I'm from California) to begin a long day. Passing by this Bob Evans, my Indiana nostalgia kicked in and I decided to give it a whirl. It was filled with old farmers, and many smiles. Just the atmosphere I was hoping for. I ordered the market breakfast something or other. It came with eggs, bacon, and gravy. By the way, I forgot that in the Midwest a "side of gravy" literally means "a heaping bowl of gravy with two large biscuits". As I wasn't going to be plowing the fields that day, I only had a few bites - but HOLY COW was it delicious! All the fat and salt you could ever want to spread on your butter soaked biscuits and it was everything I could have hoped for and more! Ok, the coffee was amazing (I'm serious), the staff was great, and everything else was fine. It was the perfect way to start my day and I just felt relaxed and satisfied. ASTONISHED how poor this B Evans has become. Hadn't been to this particular one in over 20 years but i am at the one on Snow about every two weeks and others. Was greeted and seated unwarmly by the host, server was in a real hurry and not patient when we needed some time to go over the menu (which recently changed AGAIN cuz the 41 g protein bowl was gone!!!) and more than 15 minutes went by before she came over to tell me that they were out of the filet of sole, SERIOUSLY!?!?!?! Agitated that i didn't know what else i could order when asked for her to return the menu. During all this, we were just sitting with our water and diet soda, alone, no food, no refills. I ordered steak and eggs since i hadn't eaten yet today and needed to protein big time. My diners chicken salad came out 7 minutes before my REORDER was delivered and the plate was not appetizing looking at all. The basted eggs were still 'snotty'/slimy and the Medium Well steak was Medium Rare to Rare, blood all over plate. Finished and had to pay right away since servers shift was over but couldn't leave until we were checked out/paid. My diner and i hadnt seen each other in YEARS and this place was our choice? Next time, we'll go to Dennys across the way where we could have had choices that were IN STOCK and employees who like where they work. You dont' like what you are doing, then quit and go elsewhere. Never planning on returning here, back to Snow Road which is close to ME but an hour from my dining cohort; this one was sort of in the middle. We went in for dinner and not only did we not get greeted and sat for 15 mins. When the hostess came to check on us she took our drink order. Then the waiter came over to get our food orders. you could clearly see they were not busy. Not only did we have to wait for our food but our waiter didn't even come check on is. Just left this restaurant... this has been the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am only giving it a one star due to the fact that the food was good. So I walk in and sit at the bar where there was a little girl who may have been there with her parent (who works there). So as I sit there about 7 waitresses walk past me and never notice me. Even the little girls mother stopped to check on her, looked at me and kept walking. By now I'm thinking maybe no one is working the bar area, so I stopped a waiter and asked to order. She then stopped and took my order. Then two white men walk in and before they could even grab their seats at the bar area about 5 waiters run over to greetthem and ask them for their orders. This had truly upset me and I couldn't even finish my meal. I went to the cashier to pay and told a manager about my experience, he waived it off as if it was nothing. As I explained to him.. it was like he didn't want to hear it. I couldn't believe it! You're a nationally known restaurant and this is how you treat customers? WOW! This is serious and he needs to address his staff about customer service and racial bias training. As we watch this happen every where in the world today it makes me angry and upset that we still have to deal with racial inequality in 2018. I had wrote a review on this restaurant, and it looks like it has been removed! Well, the place is not Bob Evans down on the farm, it is Bob Evans down in the gutter!!!! Complete rip off, chicken had hard skin on it in the chicken and noodles, and in the pot pie, and green beans had a metallic taste. Portions were very small. I just left Bob Evans and I am seriously disappointed. Our server Destinee was very pleasant but not very good at her job. She delivered our food without noticing we didn't have silverware. I'm staying at the hotel behind this Bob Evans location, I usually enjoy their food and service. I went yesterday for breakfast, it was so-so. Coffee was bitter, service was slow but food was good so I didn't say anything. Today, I went with my sister and brother in-law and it was absolutely horrible. We waited, no one in front of us for several minutes to be seated. Minutes later the server came by asked if we were ready to order and what did we want to drink. I got one cup of coffee. Just one, I would have loved to had a second cup, especially for the price they charge for lousy coffee. My sister never got the lemon she asked twice for, for her water. Our food, came out separately. We asked for extra napkins, never received them. Several minutes after we were done eating the server came to the table and said she would bring our check, but NEVER asked if we needed anything else. After waiting several more minutes while the server went asked with the gentleman seated behind us on a personal level, we gave up and went to the register. The lady at the register was very friendly so that made it a little better. But I don't feel one bit guilty of NOT leaving the server a tip. I won't be back though I'm in town for 4 more days. My wife and I were making a quick trip to get something to eat before going to the theater. It happened to be Valentine's Day so we wanted to avoid the upscale restaurants that would be filled with couples celebrating the day. She had seen the Bob Evans was offering a two dinners for $20 special and it was on our way so we stopped at the location on Rockside Road. As we walked to the ramp to enter the restaurant I noticed that they had many empty tables with no customers, but was surprised to find that there was about a dozen people waiting to be seated. The restaurant was more than half empty yet they were taking names and making people wait! So I asked the person who eventually showed up to add my name to the list why aren't you seating people when all these tables are empty? He replied that the waitresses were overwhelmed and they were trying to spread out the crowd. They had a total of four wait staff!! Look folks Bob Evans isn't that great any night of the year to understaff your restaurant and run a special that you advertise that same day is absolutely unconscionable. If this is how you treat your customers I don't ever want to be one of them. Whoever manages this restaurant should be fired. I will never return. read more
