I'm visiting Ohio from Texas. I figured Bob Evans was a chain when I saw so many. A quick Google search confirmed my suspicions... This location is right down the hill from my hotel, so I thought I'd give them a try. The place reminds me of "Village Inn"... A 24 hour restaurant a step up from a diner we used to have out in West Texas and the Southwest. I wonder if village inn is still around...but I digress. The first few moments in the door were ominous. I watched an older gentleman pacing... waiting for a to-go coffee. All he could say to his wife was that "she disappeared...". It had probably been 3 to 5 minutes when he finally asked about his coffee... meanwhile... I was still waiting to be seated. The server gave the older gentleman his coffee with a half-ass excuse about being needed in the kitchen. Once seated, my server was pleasant enough. No nonsense. Took my order and only checked on me once after I had my food. Opted for the taste of the farm trio...basically a Thanksgiving plate. It was okay. You can tell with the uneven heat levels in the food they must make large batches in advance. Overall: it was okay, nothing to write him about. I'm fairly certain all the employees in this location hate their lives. No one was overly friendly. Probably won't be going back to Bob Evans during my trip. read more

Ordered take out, Vanilla pudding pancakes. Instead, they gave me blueberry pancakes with a few banana pieces in the top to make it look like vanilla pudding pancakes. Sat there for 30 minutes and I didn't even get what I wanted. The place was full, and the manager pretty much hid behind the counter. The experience today was trash. I tried to call ahead to let them know that I was running behind on pickup (as a courtesy). I was on hold for 7 minutes, and I hung up. Upon arrival, there was no hostess present, so I walked past to the carryout area. One customer was ahead of me, and a cashier walked away. She never returned, but yelled to the customer that she had 2 more times being prepared. I watched who seemed to be a manager walk up ans proceed to check out customers from the dining area, who I had been waiting for about 10 minutes ahead of. He never greeted me, nor looked my way. After another 5 mins he walked back over and asked was I cashing out, or picking up. I gave my name and he handed me the bag. He never apologized for the wait, or even thanked me for stopping in. I arrived 2:42p, I did not leave until 3:06p. The food was obviously cold when I got it, and my son's French fries in his chicken tender kids meal were, sparse and tough. I've never had an issue like this with Bob Evans before. I will never be back to this location, if at all. There are too many mom and pop places, to choose from. read more

Bob Evans Rockside never misses, and this visit was no exception. The food was absolutely amazing -- hot, fresh, and exactly what you want from a good breakfast. I had the hotcakes, 2 meats, eggs, and home fries, and they were kind enough to swap my bacon and sausage for the pot roast. Yes, pot roast for breakfast -- and it did not disappoint! I also loved that the new lemonade was refillable. Little things like that make a big difference. My significant other had the fish sandwich and fries, and he thoroughly enjoyed every bite. But the real star of this visit? Our server, Cory. This man was BUSY -- like, genuinely moving -- and not once did it break his flow. He was attentive, knowledgeable, polite, and still found time to check in on us throughout the meal. That kind of energy and dedication is rare, and it made the entire experience feel special. Cory, you are exactly the kind of person a restaurant needs. Great service is what keeps people coming back, and you've got it in abundance. Keep shining! We have frequented this location a few times. Food is decent, but not amazing. However, our food came today, and the waitress came back about two minutes later to see how everything was. She never returned after that. Not even to refill our beverages. We sat, my husband with an empty plate and me waiting for a box, for over ten minutes. She never even looked our way. Stayed in Independence OH with my son to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum. The morning of we had to stop at Bob Evans for some biscuits and gravy and a few cups of coffee to put Sinon the right gear. Bob Evans never fails with the freshest biscuits that are so tall, moist and buttery and are always best paired with the delicious sausage gravy. Thus with a bottom less cup of coffee always make me feel like I'm "down on the farm" at the Rio Grande. read more

I've always loved Bob Evans as they always have a great breakfast menu. However, my friend and I visited this restaurant on our way out of town and were very disappointed. We placed our order with the server and waited way too long before the server returned to admit that she not only forgot to place the order but discarded the order. We reordered with her only to have her bring an omelet with unmelted cheese, hash browns that were not browned and toast that was not toasted by actually warmed bread. We were in time crunch to leave town so did not bring it to the attention of the server or manager. This was just sadly disappointing as the reputation of Bob Evans has always been excellent. read more

One of my best friends and I use this as a central meeting place. We meet every other month for breakfast. The biggest positive of this location is one of their servers, Kevin. This server is their best asset. He is the most courteous, and welcoming person. He shows such genuine kindness to his customers. I actually look for him when we come for breakfast. This man needs to be training all staff. He is the BEST!!! Whatever he makes, is not enough!!!! The breakfast food was fine. I had the Mini Sampler. Two eggs over easy, hash browns and bacon. HORRIBLE experience!! We were seated quickly which was a surprise because they were busy, but everything went downhill from there! Waited 20 minutes to put in order, waited another 40 minutes for food. By this time, the restaurant was now only half-filled. Food was burnt, potatoes were so overdone they were black. Walked in and the wait wasnt long for a table. It did look decently busy for the lunch rush. Sat down and a waitress came right over and I thought oh this is going to be quick and good. Little did I know, I was wrong. My friend and I ordered our drinks first. I asked for hot tea and a water and my friend asked for decaf coffee. Waitress brought over my drinks but no coffee. She came over to take our order, and i got the ham benedict and my friend got an egg omlett with hash browns and rye toast with salsa on the side. We sat around waiting for our food probably for a good 30 minutes. My friend had to ask for his coffee again because she didnt bring it out with my drink first. First off, our waitress brought my food over and my friends omelett with cheese which he had asked for no cheese. She brought it back fixed up later within 10 minutes! (Now why would the wait be so long when the fix was so quick) then our waitress forgot the toast and the salsa and I had to physically get up to ask for each individual item which she eventually brought over. It was frustrating having to constantly wait and ask for each item. By the time we finished eating, she had probably only come by once to check on us and not even refill any of our drinks. We paid up at the counter and the general manager asked us how everything was. We let him know food was decent but the service was not good at all. He applogized and gave us 20% off our order due to the service. Granted that was nice of him, I dont think there will be another time for me to come back unless service improved. read more

Well, I ate here the last too days and it was a very good experience. Today, the Sunday before Memorial Day at 9:00 AM, it is a 0-star experience. The host cannot speak intelligible English. We were informed of a 15 minute wait because they only have two servers. Luckily we were seated after only 5 minutes. We have now been waiting 35 minutes since we came in the door. The server's don't seem to be the issue. The issue appears to be the kitchen... Well, we won't be coming here tomorrow. This operation does not appear to have their act together. On our previous two visits, the manager seemed to be running a loud, stand-up comedy routine for the benefit of the employees. After 41 minutes, our food arrived, delivered by no less than the Assistant Manager. I guess it's back to McDonalds tomorrow. read more

Tried to get breakfast this morning at Bob EVANS on Rockside Road. We were seated immediately and our order was taken almost as quickly. One hour later we had not received our order. We had received one cup of coffee and one ice tea, but never saw our server after getting the drinks. After the hour we went to the counter to pay for our drinks and leave. No explanation was given No apology was offered. Down home on the farm has a truly different meaning at this location. This spot is definitely off of our radar. read more

Waited 45 minutes for the food. Manager: "well, we're just swamped with carry-out orders." Oh. I left a nice tip for the server; not her fault. Stopped last night for a quick bite, it was 7:15 pm when I and another person walked in. As I was getting seated the manager came up and told me it was to late and I couldn't get served. I mentioned to her that their sign states they are open until 8 and assured her if they made the food in a timely manor I would be out way before 8. Needless to say neither one of us got served. I ordered a half of a salad and chicken noodle soup, I was on my lunch I pulled called the number for curbside they said oh it's not ready yet it will be another 10 minutes or so, ok I waited 15 minutes, the salad had a 1/2 cup of lettuce with lots of cranberries and blues cheese so many toppings that it wasn't a salad then the chicken was cold I called the restaurant spoke with Robin the manager, she apologized and said she will remake it for me tomorrow because I was on lunch well here I go back after I spoke with Robin she was supposed to make it herself. Came here for a Sunday breakfast just because it came first before dennys on our way out. It was a holiday weekend so we waited about 15min before seated. The waitress looked tired but she did her job on prompt ordering and delivery. She was very detailed oriented. The menu had misleading small prints and she straightened it out for me and brought me the banana nut cake I wanted. I'm never ordering from this bob Evans again. This is the third time they have messed up my order through door dash. First two times I was told they would fix it but I had to come pick it up, which I don't have a car that's why we ordered through door dash. This third time I spoke to a manager and he argued with me that I was not charged for my two missing items. He said they were not on the receipt yet they did not give me a copy of that receipt, and the receipt from door dash said that I was charged. When I explained this to them, he refused I was charged. Did not try to fix it just argued and hung up. Never again. Banana nut bread and sweet carrots. So not only lost money but our food we were charged for. read more

Exactly what we needed! This Bob Evans was just as good as any I'd been too before. The staff is extremely friendly, maybe too friendly since I'm not used to seeing so my energy and enthusiasm so early in the morning. I ordered my usual an omelet, hash browns, and a side of sausage links. Nothing to fancy here, standard premade food with slightly overcooked eggs. The others I was with ordered similar items all equally good. The coffee is far better than you'd expect and the lemonade is pretty darn awesome. The only thing that was subpar in my opinion were the crepes, they were advertised as having strawberries and only came with two halves of a single strawberry. Whilst they certainly weren't in season at the moment it was mildly disappointing. Overall a fantastic experience, we knew what we were getting into and this Bob Evans made for a great start to our day. read more

Close to several hotels and shops. This place operates like a well oiled machine. I was impressed the wait wasn't long and the food was cook perfectly. I typically grab a breakfast sandwich and get on the road. This place made me rethink my morning routine. The biscuits and grits were my personal favorite. I am really surprised I have to give Bob Evans two stars, but that is only because the server Tiffany was really nice. The hostess had AirPods in her ear while seating people and that was completely unprofessional. We orders pretty soon after being seated. The coffee is terrible, it's very weak and thin. We got here around 945 and we waited until about 1040 to receive food. The restaurant was fairly busy but not as busy as it could have been for Father's Day. Once we got our food, it was very unimpressive. I ordered the Banana Berry Combo. The pancakes were undercooked, my home fries were scattered around my plate and my bacon was thrown on top. I ate the eggs, home fries (which was a small handful worth) and bacon. The pancakes were not worth eating. It totally soured my impression of Bob Evans. read more

Waste of time and money! Hostess was rather unhappy to been working. Eggs were ok. I ordered the new cheese hashbrowns and they were AWFUL! Bad taste and lumpy texture. Topped with some greasy corn flakes. I asked for regular hashbrowns and they were just as bad on a different leve. Dried out and no taste. My sausage links were so overcooked, i could not even cut them, let alone eat them. The brioche french toast was nothing to write home about regarding flavor. They arrived cold, and to make things worse the syrup was cold also. Coffee was good, but i was never offered a refill. Total bill was about $14 with tax and tip....way too much for a sub par meal. If it was free, i would stilql complain. I aam not sure if this was a one time thing or a regular occurance at this location, but i will not be back. read more

Went to Eat dinner here while we were in Ohio with my our Family July 17,2023. We personally would never return to this restaurant again. No one wore Uniform,dressed in outfits that are not professional at all!!!! The food was so salty and disgusting and the waiter needs to be trained in service. The guy had his thumb in everyone's plates when he handed them their food. The cook didn't wear a haircut! Just a very unprofessional place to eat. Does anyone have a service safe certificate? If not you should really train your staff. I'm just Thankful none of us got sick . I seriously don't recommend this place to anyone. read more
