What was off-putting was our waiter's behavior. He wouldn't make eye contact with me, was borderline rude and preferentially interacted with my (male) dining partner. I noticed. I ended up getting some tomato bisque soup which I'm an absolute sucker for and it was fan freaking tastic. A+++ Definitely it's comfort food season and this menu supported that. Now normally I make pot roast but I'm not very good at it and my pot roast is normally fatty but this pot roast came out absolutely fell apart on my fork. The carrots were perfect and the mashed potatoes was not lumpy my perfect consistency I told my wife if you want to learn how to make pot roast come cook here. She got the beef and mushroom pot pie now I'm a big fan of pot pie but I do not like mushrooms but she managed to absolutely inhale that and she gave it two thumbs up. Pierogis with potato centers were covered in diced kielbasa, bacon (yes, bacon), and covered in cheddar cheese. Ahhhhh. The others at my table raved about the kielbasa and pierogi dish. They also liked the beer selection. How do you know you have a great find? You think about the meal long after it is consumed. Next meal- breakfast. I had the kielbasa and pierogi omelet. Need I say more? Finally, we came back a third time and I ordered the burger. No burger place (save Chuckbox in Tempe, AZ) can match the Rowley burger. The burger is actually seasoned and cooked to order. I had it medium rare. Sheer perfection. Typing this review makes me sad because I live far away from Cleveland. If you are in The Land, you must drop everything you are doing to get to the Rowley Inn. It is a 8 minute drive from downtown.
