Bob Evans has a quality product with premium prices. That being said, we don't frequent Bob Evans to often because there are so many places around that give you quality food at more reasonable prices. The homestead breakfast is the standard that I try to match at other places, but sometimes we have to go back to Bob Evans for our fix. They offer many email deals if you join their email club and it helps bring the price more in line with other local eating establishments. Bob Evans is a solid 3 stars and I'll be back... Had a nice breakfast this morning and an excellent server. Only problem I had was when I tried to use the free breakfast coupon I had it was not valid on Sunday. I then turned the coupon over and got my glasses out and indeed I saw I did not read both sides of the coupon. read more

I've eaten at this location many times, and have always had wonderful service. It was no different yesterday. The waitress was super nice, and friendly. The food came very quick; the quickest I've ever gotten food from a sit down restaurant in my life. By far the best Bob Evans I've ever been to, and I've been to quite a few in the different states. My wife and I, along with another couple went to our local Bob Evans here in the Villages, FL. We were seated after a 5 minute wait. Once we were seated, it took the waitress 10 minutes to show up and take our drink orders. We asked for a Arnold Palmer, but they were out of lemonade. We tried to order a chicken pot pie, but they were out. We asked for a fresh bread order, but they were out. We wanted to order a chocolate peanut butter pie, but they were out. When I asked the Manager about the Bob Evans Caramel Apple Cookie, he said they had no such thing. Having this kind of experience with what was a great place to eat has soured us against going back. Went there and ordered thev new combo, great value, good selection. Chicken breast dinner was my choice. When the food arrived the chicken was RAW in the middle. We sent it back, my wife finished her food and got another drink and my food did not return. I asked the waitress to just put the chicken back on the grill, no big deal. After another 15 min I gave up and we left. Asked to speak to the Manager who stated he had "new people" and "it wasn't done on purpose". Nice but if you can't cook chicken....I'm worried. read more

I came in today, and was extremely disappointed. I was greeted by a decently friendly staff, who forgot to give us a kids menu for my 8 year old son. Then, the waitress seemed to have no urgency AND no personality. After receiving a less than half full bowl of gravy, and getting it replaced, my food came out cold. The portion sizes were about 1/3 of how they are at all other Bob Evans. The food was lousy, cold, and was not even enough food for my young boys. Then, I purchased a to go order for my wife, and it was the icing on the cake. In the box, there was 8 home fries, two minuscule pancakes, and a single egg, which was slightly bigger than a postage stamp. The food was pretty good. The only complaints I had are the potatoes in my Home Fries were not cooked enough for my liking & the price of a bottomless pop is $2.39, the glass the bring it in is small, as soon as they drop it off your ready for a refill. My friends breakfast was cold. The manager discounted his meal because of the temperature of his meal. The best part of the experience was my blueberry crape'. The hostess staff have no idea how to accommodate larger than 4 groups. God forbid you have 6x been waiting 45 minutes while they constantly seat 2-4 parties instead of planning accordingly for 6. Unbelievable. Get your crap together Bob Evans. read more

Awesome customer service!!! Kristina Pankey the assistant manager did a great job with the complimentary special coffee due to the food taking longer than expected. Friendliest staff of any restaurant I've ever been in. I think every staff member on the floor said something to us, whether they were serving us or not. Food was great too. The restaurant looks like any other bob Evans I've been to but the staff made it feel much cozier and more pleasant. Will definitely be back to this one! read more

This morning I experienced the worst service in my life. Our party of eight, which included two children was treated with disrespect at Bob Evans. It took us longer to be served , our waitress seldom checked on us and didn't offer refills of coffee. When my husband asked for an additional order of toast it took approximately fifteen minutes before it was brought to the table. Needless to say he had finished his breakfast by then. The manager was very friendly toward the customers seated in the table behind us, but did not acknowledge us. The restaurant was not very busy. It became so obvious that our party was being treated differently that my elderly father asked to see the manager. The assistant manager finally came over and addressed the matter by waiving the bill. However we did not receive an apology from the waitress or management. I hope that this poor service was not due to the fact that we are African Americans. read more

Just had breakfast. Great service from Shannon. Was packed on a Sunday morning but we were at our table in a few minutes. The steak and eggs were great. The general mgr is awesome; however, we have recently been concerned with the overall consistency of quality of the way the food is prepared (not always hot or fresh tasting/overcooked at times/not prepared as listed in the menu or as requested) and most especially with cleanliness. For example on one visit, one of the mgrs was plating our food without gloves. My husband observed him putting a bowl of bbq sauce on the plate, getting some on his finger, licking his finger, and then pushing a french fry back onto the plate with said finger. Then the waitress brought us a bowl of fruit with her.hand covering and touching the top of all of the fruit. I couldn't help but wonder what she had touched prior to touching my fruit (The menu? Money? A nasty, germ filled counter?) Where is the health inspector or Andrea Isom from Channel 7 when these things happen? Obviously, all staff need a refresher course on cleanliness and safe/proper food handling practices. read more

Even as a kid I loved Bob Evans. The picturesque menus, the great mixture of breakfast, lunch and dinner aromas, the rolls, bread, and yes, the cholesterol-packed sausage biscuits and gravy. My sunshine skillet did not disappoint. It was like an open-faced omelet. Others had chili and liked it, baked chicken, delicious, chicken and noodles that made me full just smelling it. Our waitress was efficient, courteous, very aware of the little things like topping off drinks, bringing more bread, bringing out the kids meals when they were plated.
